Back at Susan's apartment, Susan received the text message from Diana and frowned after reading it.
"Why does Bryce care so much about this Angela girl?" she questioned through gritted teeth.
She quickly dialled Eva's number.
"Hello, Eva," Susan said as soon as Eva answered. "Have you been able to get the information I requested?" she asked.
"Susan, calm down. I am trying my best here. You are asking me to get information from a security-tight estate. Not everyone is allowed into that estate and you know it. You and I do not know any big shot who lives in that estate aside from Mr Moore," Eva replied sounding frustrated.
"You are right. I am sorry for yelling at you. We need to think of a way. You need to get inside the estate Eva," Susan said.
"How?" Eva questioned.
"I know someone who lives in that estate you can use. There is a particular club he visits every night to pick up women for his pleasure. Go there and meet him and offer yourself to him. I will give you something to put in his drink once you are inside his home so he will not touch you. Once there, find out who Angela is staying with, in that estate," Susan said.
"Okay, I will come over once I am done taking care of my stuff here and we can discuss it further. In the meantime, do we still push for Angela and that guy's image to show on the screen?" Eva asked.
"Yes, let's give Diamond Corporation a scandal. They have never been in the news for scandals before. This would get Bryce's father angry. I am sure he would have Angela removed from the company immediately and probably banned her from getting employment anywhere," Susan said with a smile plastered on her face.
Meanwhile, back at the estate, the guard was forced to carry stubborn Angela into the apartment. She had become aggressive and very angry.
"What is wrong with ma'am?" Josephine asked with concern seeing Angela on the guard's shoulders hitting the guard's back with both bands and throwing her legs in the air.
"I am not sure," the guard replied and continued upstairs.
He sent Angela to Bryce's room and dropped her on the bed. He hurried his steps back to the door after wrapping the blanket around Angela. He pulled the key out and exited the room by the time Angela got out of the blanket and headed for the door. He locked the door and stood there in front of the door.
Angela started banging on the door screaming and demanding the door be opened. She kept that going for ten minutes and she started crying begging to be opened. The guard just stood there ignoring her cries.
Bryce arrived at the estate after half an hour. The car parked his his garage and he got out of the car. He headed for the front door. Once inside the apartment, he went upstairs and found the guard standing in front of his bedroom door.
"She was a little aggressive so I locked her inside," the guard informed Bryce and he just nodded accepting the key from the guard.
He unlocked the door and found Angela lying on the floor motionless. He bent over and quickly checked her pulse. It was very weak and her hand was wounded. He looked at the back of the door and realized she kept hitting the door until her hand was sore.
He carried her to the bed and laid her on it. He sat on the bed and stared at her face. He moved her hair out of her face and called his doctor to come over.
The doctor came over and examined Angela. He took a sample to run some tests at the lab.
"What is wrong with her?" Bryce asked.
"I am not sure, but from what you are telling me. It sounds more like some kind of narcotic drug effect," the doctor replied.
"She doesn't do drugs," Bryce defended.
"Are you sure?" the doctor asked and Bryce didn't have an answer. "Most drug users, are good at hiding their stuff. You only get to know about them when things are getting out of hand," he explained. "Let me run the test and find out what drug she is using," he said and Bryce nodded.
The doctor packed his stuff and left the room. Bryce shifted his gaze back to Angela. He recalled the nightmares she started having which lasted for some days, which forced him to share a room with her. How did that stop all of a sudden? Could the doctor be right and she is using drugs just to help deal with an issue? Bryce thought. If yes, what is bothering her so much that she has to use drugs? Bryce thought staring at Angela's face.
The wound she sustained on her hand after hitting the door so hard with her hand has been attended to and some medicine applied to it. An hour went by and Angela had still not woken up. The doctor called Bryce who was now working from home. He was sitting behind his laptop inside the bedroom, working and watching Angela at the same time.
His phone buzzed and it was the doctor. He answered and brought the phone to his ears.
"Hello?" Bryce said and rested his back on the chairs backrest.
"Mr Moore, I'm afraid we have a problem," the doctor said.
"What is the problem?" Bryce asked.
"The test results revealed a high volume of cocaine in her blood," the doctor reported and Bryce frowned.
"How?" Bryce asked finding it hard to believe.
He was not with Angela 24/7, but there was nothing about her that showed she was into drugs.
"Well, to have such an amount of cocaine in her bloodstream, she might have been using it for a long," the doctor explained. "Is she awake now?" the doctor asked.
"No," Bryce replied disappointed.
"You would have to bring her over to the hospital. It could kill her," the doctor said.
"I will bring her over," Bryce said. "Dr. Keep this between us. I don't want a word of it going out," he added.
"Sure," the doctor acknowledged.
Bryce could have asked for an ambulance but he didn't want the information spreading by attracting unnecessary attention. Bryce called his guard and asked him to bring the car around. He carried Angela out of the room and they were soon out of the estates heading for the hospital. He informed the doctor he was on his way.
The doctor attended to Angela and had the drugs flashed out of her system. She was sent to the ward after. Bryce could not risk being seen by anyone at the hospital so he stayed in the car and allowed his guard to handle everything.
"Sir, she has been brought to the ward now," the guard informed Bryce.
"Good, come over and let's go," Bryce said and the guard was surprised they were leaving Angela at the hospital.
He didn't have anything to say aside from following Bryce's orders. He left the hospital and came to the car. They left the place after Bryce told the doctor to take care of Angela.
Once they arrived at the apartment, Bryce asked the guard to request an Uber, return to the hospital and stay with Angela till she woke up.
"Among all the things you could do, you chose drugs," Bryce whispered to himself feeling hurt and disappointed.
