The Chosen Luna: Alpha’s Unwanted Daughter

The King’s Wrath

Ch. 512 / 790 May 05, 2026

The battlefield stilled for a moment, the combatants pausing as an overwhelming force filled the air. The ground trembled, cracks splintering through the bloodstained earth as the King unleashed his full power. A storm of dark energy swirled around him, consuming the light and casting an eerie glow over the battlefield. His crimson eyes burned with fury as they locked onto Lyra.

“You dare defy me?” he growled, his voice reverberating like thunder across the expanse. The shadows around him writhed and twisted, growing thicker and darker as they coiled like living entities ready to strike.

Lyra’s breath caught, her chest tightening as the weight of his presence bore down on her. Her silver eyes flickered with fear, but she refused to back down. She raised her blade, her grip firm despite the trembling in her hands.

“I won’t let you hurt them,” she said, her voice steady even as her heart pounded in her chest.

The King’s lips curled into a cruel smile. “How brave. How foolish.”

Before he could act, a blur of motion charged toward him. Cassian, his massive wolf form rippling with power, lunged through the swirling shadows. His claws slashed through the dark tendrils as he bared his teeth, his growl a feral roar.

“Stay away from her!” he snarled, his voice echoing through the chaos.

The shadows recoiled momentarily under Cassian’s assault, but the King stood unmoving, his sword alight with crackling energy. He swung it in a wide arc, sending a wave of darkness crashing toward Cassian. The Alpha leaped back, his movements fluid and precise as he dodged the attack.

Eryon, bloodied but unyielding, joined the fray, his amber eyes blazing with fury. His claws flexed as he stalked forward, his stance unshaken despite the wounds covering his body.

“This ends here,” he snarled, his voice low and dangerous. With a guttural roar, he launched himself at the King, his claws slashing with relentless force.

The three of them—Cassian, Eryon, and Lyra—fought as a unit, their combined strength forcing the King to step back. Cassian’s ferocity tore through the shadows, each strike a testament to his Alpha’s resolve. Lyra darted in and out of the fray, her blade finding openings as she worked alongside her brother and mate. Eryon was a storm of rage and precision, his vampiric strength unrelenting as he matched the King’s brutal power.

For the first time, the King’s calm composure cracked. His attacks became more aggressive, his voice rising in frustration as his enemies pressed him harder.

“You’re nothing to me!” he roared, his crimson eyes blazing as he swung his sword in a vicious arc, forcing them to scatter.

But even with his immense power, the tide began to turn. The unity of their attacks, the strength born of their bond, slowly pushed him back. The King snarled, his fury echoing through the battlefield as he realized the fight was slipping from his grasp.

Suddenly, the shadows around him surged, swallowing him in a swirling mass of darkness. His voice cut through the air, cold and filled with promise.

“You haven’t seen the last of me.”

Then, as quickly as it began, the darkness dissipated, leaving behind an eerie silence. The King was gone, his retreat a bitter victory that hung heavy in the air.
