Silvermoon Series: Luna

Chapter 13

Ch. 13 / 56 Mar 11, 2026

Olivia Blake

My plans of leaving school had been ambushed by the Principal, apparently leaving early and not being able to call home left me in the office, twiddling my thumbs as the receptionist put me in a lineup of about ten other delinquents waiting to be dealt with. This gave beef-cake tons of time to come fetch me against my will. I had limited choices, stay and let them try to call my mother or run...

“Miss Blake!”

I dashed out the office door and towards the front doors, making a break for it, but the principal and his mad running skills were impressive, leaving me in a pickle. I couldn't shift in front of a human – though, I would get away rather quickly but breaking that law would result in a possible death sentence from Silvermoon. Breaking rule number one, even in this situation I was in with Wyler was not smart. Then I saw his truck and I panicked, coming to a dead stop as he slammed on the breaks ten feet from me and got out, the door of his vehicle protesting the swing.

Fuming, I swear I could see the steam coming from his ears- kinda like a cartoon character but way more dangerous. Alpha Wyler was pissed.

“Olivia...” He growled. “Get in the truck.”

“You can't take her, she's in the office for – wait, who are you?”

Wyler gave the principala glance before walking over. “I'm her brother.”

Far fetched! I had to hold my laugh because I knew he'd tan my ass if I let it out, not that he wasn't already going to do that.

“Oh--” The principal scratched his bald head. “I didn't know Olivia had a brother.”

“Step-brother!” I hissed, trying to make it more plausible, even though I should have been screaming save me!

The principalwas a tad slow. he pecked at his chin and then nodded. “Well, we can call her mother to verify this pick up--”

“That's not necessary.” Wyler grabbed me by my elbow and yanked me toward the vehicle. I could have been getting kidnapped for all my principal knew, but he just stood there, like a fish out of damn water!

I ripped my arm from Wyler as I climbed into the truck. He slammed the door, encasing me inside and giving me one hell of a glare through the glass.

He briefly interacted with the principal before getting in the truck and starting the engine. I had a lot to say to Wyler but I was apprehensive to just come out and go crazy on him or...

“Why are you here?”

He pulled the truck out onto the highway and I waited in silence for a reply.

“Hello?”

His spectacular dark eyes cascaded over me but still he said nothing.

“I'm not the one in need of a silent treatment. You are.”

He smiled, watching the road in front of him and making me nervous from doing absolutely nothing at all.

“I should have shifted. Then you would have had to kill my stupid principal and you'd have blood on your name forever.”

“I'd do what I'd have to, Olivia, but I wouldn't be happy about it.”

I growled, shifting my eyes off him to the road in front of us. “Where are you taking me?”

He went silent again, adjusting his hands on the steering wheel and flipping on the radio. It made me angry on so many levels – his new silent affliction. This guy got off so easy, just being him. I boiled in my seat, was now the time to demand he pull over and let me go? I wanted to but my damn wolf was holding me back. there must have been a way to break her from him – I just had to figure it out, and quick.

The truck suddenly swerved off the road and onto a dirt forestry access. After I let go of my death grip on the door, I realized we weren't going back to Silvermoon.

“Where are we going?”

His silence drove me crazy, in the worst way, as I began to panic and images of my death flashed in my mind. He said he'd do what he had to – meaning murder my principal had I shifted in front of the human. I shivered back into my seat, no longer thinking of Johnathan but the outcome of my actions. I'd pissed off the Alpha of my pack and maybe for a moment, he wasn't seeing me as his mate anymore but an unruly pack member.

He stopped the truck in a small clearing, surrounded by thick brush and trees.

“Get out.” He demanded.

Was he dropping me here in the middle of nowhere? Banishing me!

I opened the door of the vehicle and stepped out- just because the rain had lifted an hour or so ago didn't stop the brush from being cold and wet along my tight jeans.

He pulled the keys from the ignition and stepped out after me. Now my heart really thundered, I could only imagine what he was about to do... Coming around in front of me he took me by the waist and hauled me to the back to the truck, dropping the tailgate. He sat me up on the edge and caged around me, each one of his bulked arms now on either side of me, his face mere inches away. He'd put me on an equal pedestal so he could make me feel intimidated and I hated to admit it was working, but I had to try to not let it.

“Don't you ever send me a text like that again.”

I balked at his unexpected words, all this was because of my text message! “What?”

“Don't ever threaten me, either.”

I dropped my chin and sneered. “So, it's okay if you threaten people and kick them out of the pack but not me!”

He arched his brow with a sudden smirk. “Oh, that's what this is about.”

“What did you think it was about?” I snarked.

He leaned in closer, looking me over. “You seem to like testing barriers.”

I snorted. “Whatever that means--”

“He had many opportunities to be honest with me on you.”

“Like when?” I snarled at him like a dog. “He's been your Beta for like, a point of a second.”

“He stood down fast. He understood what he'd done.”

“It's not his fault we liked each other – it's not even mine!”

“I know this.” Alpha Wyler tensed around me. “But what do you want me to do, Olivia?”

This seemed like an obvious question. “Give Johnathan back the Beta position.”

“I can't do that.”

“You can do whatever you want! You're Alpha!”

He smirked. “Thanks for letting me know.”

I fell silent, unable to continue an argument with a man that insisted on being three inches from my face the entire time. He was distracting, it must have been part of his angle.

“Olivia,” he sighed, his eyes wandering my body.

“Give Johnathan back Beta...”

“No, Olivia. That's not how I work.”

“Argh, you're so annoying!” I screeched, “And can't you get away from me, it's like you're trying to suffocate me!”

He tilted his head, watching me. “You won't win this.”

“Win what?”

“This argument. I've already given my order to Beta Johnathan. It's done.”

I felt my cheeks reddening upon my rush of abrupt anger and my hand did what it did before I could even comprehend it.I slapped Alpha Wyler across the face.

He adjusted to the blow, accepting the sting and the power of my hit but it had done nothing but angered him and I knew I was in a world of shit because of it.

“Olivia,” the growl of my name came from deep in his chest.

I inched back from him. “I reject you.”

“Is that what you want?” He grabbed my calf, hitching his fingers into my muscle and making me flinch.

“Y-yes...”

“Here's the problem, Olivia. I don't negotiate – and if I do, well, you've earned it but you have not, babygirl. All you've done is hit me – your Alpha – across the face and question my pack affairs.”

I watched the bit of blood drip from the corner of his mouth down his chin. My shot had been good, maybe too good – it would leave a bruise and my wolf was pacing inside me because of it.

He thought a moment as he stepped back. “Two options then... the first, you can turn over on your stomach and I'll give you ten slaps- each one harder, till the last is as hard as you hit me or...” I didn't want to hear the second because I was worried my panties would get wetter than they already were. “-- Or you can shift and run into the woods with a two minute head start but if I find you, we mate.”

I swallowed hard. “I don't like either choice.”

“Then I will choose for you.” He brought his hands to his collar and started to undo his shirt. With a speeding heart I shouted the option I wanted more, but it wasn't what my wolf had been urging.

“The first one!”
