Possession of the Mafia Don

Glimpses of Heaven

Ch. 16 / 154 Feb 23, 2026

Proserpina

A few weeks later one afternoon, I was sitting in my bedroom. It was definitely a woman's room, with solid but pretty lined drapes in a shade of peach which suited the décor of the room. The enormous bed dominated the room. A small table cluttered with my books and laptop were my sole contributions to the room, particularly since I had discovered that it was a common house for Lucien's women.

I often wondered why I kept waiting and hoping that I would be the one to change Lucien Delano; but they say love is blind, don't they?

That belief, and my love for him, were the things that made me continue to stay although I felt humiliated and simply fed-up at times.

In my yoga pants and an old sweatshirt, I leaned against the pillows, trying to work on my assignments which were hugely behind schedule.

It was only when I heard Lucien roaring from downstairs that I caught on that he had come.

Even before I had time to scramble to my feet, the door flew open and he stood there, massive and glowering, dwarfing the room, so to speak.

I gulped and shakily clambered off the soft mattress. The sight of the powerful physique donned in a white shirt, grey jacket, and jeans that hugged his powerful thighs, his closest attire to casual wear, made me long to be engulfed in his arms. But the fact that he was blazingly angry scared me. He had also been drinking, but then, he always did so. It was just that the strong fumes of alcohol seemed to surround him now as he stood, bloodshot eyes glittering with anger.

"Lucien...", I said in a soft voice, tremulously.

"So I get to know from the man who's meant to guard you that last week, it was the birthday of the woman I fu\*k , eh?" He bit out grimly.

Bowing my head to avoid looking at his piercing gaze, I turned away to hide my tears, murmuring,

"I... didn't know where you were..."

Suddenly, he was beside me, yanking me around to face him before I could take a breath.

His eyes roamed over my face, settling on my mouth and as I parted my lips involuntarily, his head descended with a groan and he kissed me hard. Responding eagerly, like a person who has been denied any sustenance, I groped feverishly, pulling him to me, wanting to feel his body against mine.

It was only a matter of minutes before we were on the bed, my books landing on the floor as he tugged off my clothes hungrily, his mouth latching on my nipples greedily.

" Fuc\*! I've missed this, little girl," he growled as he rode me roughly, biting and imprinting his mark on me.

Accepting his thrusts with passion, I surrendered to him, begging him for more as he emptied his seed in me.

It was late evening when we finally lay, exhausted, our damp limbs entangled. He stroked my head and ran his calloused hands over my quivering body. Turning my face up to his, I stroked his harsh face, admiring the rough planes, trailing a finger over the scarred nose in the light of the gathering dusk.

"Get up woman," he growled, a teasing note in his voice. And then he added, almost as an afterthought,

"I'm taking you out for dinner."

I sat up in shock.

During the entire period of our relationship, Lucien had never once taken me anywhere with him. He was generous, giving me money to spend on myself, and encouraging me to buy expensive clothes and cosmetics, jewellery, and any accessory I wished for. But apart from the first two occasions when I had gone to some malls, I had simply not been interested in doing something that I considered wasteful.

When I suggested that we go out together a few times, he refused point blank on both occasions without giving me any explanation.

The hurt I had felt had made me stop asking.

A girl had some pride, after all!

Besides, I told myself sadly, where was the need to buy expensive clothes when I spent most of the time in the house in my baggy jeans or yoga pants with sweatshirts? As for when I was with Lucien, he was too busy taking off my clothes!

Now I shot up in bed, kneeling before him in surprise, staring at him.

He threw his head back and laughed,

"Girl, if you don't cover yourself, I'll only be fuc\*ing you again!"

Blushing furiously, I grabbed the quilt and draped it around myself toga style.

Looking into his eyes, I asked seriously,

"Why? Lucien, you're not joking, are you?"

A flash of something that I later imagined to be regret crossed his hard, almost cruel face.

But he said nothing, just rose to his feet, and made his way to the shower. I followed him like a lost puppy. When we were under the hot jets of water, he made love to me again, slowly, almost tenderly.

Later as he briskly towelled himself, he watched me through narrowed eyes in the huge mirror set in the walnut cabinets beside the pale grey ceramic titled counters in the bathroom. Drying out my long mahogany hair took time.

As he strode out, he threw over his shoulder,

"There's a new dress for you on the bed. Wear that now."

I spun around in surprise.

Tripping across to the bedroom in delight, I took in a sharp breath as I saw the little black dress in the box left casually on a chair for me.

There was nothing ordinary about the dress though. A figure-hugging little number, it was a layered and smocked leather and stretch dress by an upcoming designer I had heard of. The shirred knit and the bustier style bodice made me clap my hands to my mouth in wonder!

The unusual combination of smocked leather and stretch accentuated my curves and as I twirled this way and that, my long hair flew, as I giggled in sheer happiness.

Lucien entered the dressing room, an indulgent smile on his face. Suddenly he captured my waist and I rose on tiptoe to kiss him.

"Thank you," I said, demurely.

"Danielle chose the dress." He said as he brushed his lips against my throat.

I stiffened. Danielle Eton was his assistant and the chief floor manager at the club. The very same haughty woman who had sneered, taunting Lucien for cradle snatching when I had run into her in the club.

"Hurry up!" he ordered, smacking my round arse lightly and I beamed up at him forgetting my momentary discomfiture.

When I was done, I stepped back, startled by the transformation.

Nervously, I studied my rather sensuous reflection in the mirror. To appear a little worldly, I had wound my hair in a messy bun and added eye makeup which made my black eyes look smoky and mysterious.

The dress was not revealing in the ordinary sense but my breasts appeared fuller in the bustier, my entire body more wantonly curvaceous than I wished it to be and I felt my face flame as I walked down the stairs carefully in a pair of knee-high boots that accentuated the rather sophisticated look of the outfit.

The look of blatant desire that blazed in Lucien's eyes before it shifted to the carefully cold mask he inevitably wore, made me hesitate.

Smiling with happiness, I told myself, this was his way of making up for having missed my nineteenth birthday and there was no way anything was going to happen to spoil this my very first date with my harsh lover!

How wrong I was!!!
