Molly
"They are so beautiful, Molly dolly." Tom cooes over the little bundle in his arms as he walks around my bed and takes a seat next to me. "I agree, little heartbreakers in the making here," Jack says as he stands over by the window with my other son in his arms. "You were so incredible, baby," Chris whispers in my ear as he sits on my other side and gently plays with my hair. I've always found it soothing and Chris knows this.
"Who do I have?" Tom asks not once taking his eyes off his nephew. "This is Jacob and Jack has Jonah." Jack walks over to us while rocking Jonah in his arms smiling so hard that his face has to be hurting but he doesn't seem to care. "Cute names." Both Chris and I nod agreeing. I love the names even if I didn't pick them. A little while ago I discovered that Chris has never got a say in what any of the other children were called. Of course, he loves all of their names but still, his opinion wasn't even considered so I told him that he could pick both the twin's names and I think that he picked the perfect names.
"Those names suit them." Whispers Jack completely mesmerised by Jonah. "You'd think that he's never seen a newborn before." I nod laughing. "It doesn't matter how many I see, every new one that comes along is just as incredible as the others and they always blow my mind. "I'm with you," Tom nods agreeing.
"Where are my grandbabies!" Ruby practically shouts with excitement as she rushes into the room with John right on her heels. They both instantly spot my sons being hogged by their uncles and are not impressed making me smile. "Come on you baby hoggers, hand them over!" Neither Tom nor Jack look happy about this but we all know what Ruby and John are like with the kids and we all know that they will win in this.
Ruby walks over to Tom holding out her hands. "Give me my grandson." he hands him over with a grunt while Chris chuggles beside me. "Mom meet Jacob." Ruby looks over at us with tears in her eyes as she smiles wide. "Jacob... so perfect!" John walks over to stand beside her while an unimpressed-looking Jack follows behind him. "Dad, meet Jonah." Just like Ruby, John also has tears in his eyes as he looks down at his newest grandsons.
A noise has us both looking across the room to see Callum walking through the door with Hunter on his heels, they walk straight over to Ruby and John smiling when they see our baby boys. "Cal, Hunt, meet your nephews Jonah and Jacob." Chris points to each baby as he says their name. "Man for such an ugly fuck you don't half make cute babies," Hunter grunts making everyone laugh.
Hunter may not be blood but he's as good as a brother to Chris and the others and all of the children call him Uncle and it's clear that he loves every one of them like they are his own blood Nieces and Nephews. I’m not sure what the story is with his family only that I have met one of his brothers but that’s it so our children maybe the only nieces and nephews that he’s got. He’d happily give his life for my children and anyone that’s willing to do that is ok with me.
"Ok, everyone get out, Molly needs to rest and I'd like to spend some time with my sons because we all know that as soon as we bring them home your all gonna be back to hogging them and I won't see them again until they are five!" I burst out laughing at Chris's words but nod agreeing with him. Everyone reluctantly agrees and heads out of the room. Once they have gone he hands me Jonah and then takes a seat on the bed beside me with a sleeping Jacob in his arms.
I look down at my son in my arms still shocked that they are here with us. I look up to see Chris as he does the same and for a moment I get swept away by my emotions. I'm so in love with him and my children, all of them. "Hey, what's wrong baby, are you in pain?" he swipes his finger across my cheek and it's only then that I realise that I'm crying.
"I'm fine hunny."
"Then why are you crying, sweetheart?"
"I'm just happy, so happy and so thankful for what I have, for what we have. If someone had told me this time last year that in a year I would be with another man and have five children I would have laughed in their face." he nods while he uses one of his hands to run through my hair. "I know what you mean baby. I never thought I'd be here again with more children and another woman but fuck I wouldn't want it any other way. How about you, any regrets?" For a moment I'm taken aback by his question but then I see it in his eyes, A slight bit of insecurity lurks there and I understand it, properly more than most.
"No regrets baby, never!" he gives me a gentle kiss but it is quickly interrupted but a crying Jonah. Of course, once he starts his brother decides not to be left out and we have them both screaming the place down. "I guess it's time for clean diapers and feeds." he nods laughing looking the happiest that I have ever seen him and I'm pretty sure that my face shows the same for me.
Christian
Watching Molly give birth was absolutely incredible. After going eight days over her due date which is quite rare for twins she had a natural birth with both babies and I swear I have never seen strength like it. How can one woman be so strong? And the babies… my sons well, fuck my heart explored with love the second they were born. Both boys were born great weights for twins, Jacob was 4lbs 9 oz and Jonah was 5lbs 1oz and both were exactly 20 inches long.
They both also have insanely light hair and quite a lot of it and bright blue eyes. I know that it can all change in the first year but I have a feeling that they are going to look just like their momma and I’m ok with that. Hell, they will be heartbreakers looking like her. Besides both Brody and Sophie look like me so it’ll be nice for the boys to look like Molly who knows if we’ll have any more? Five children is going to be crazy hard work but I can’t wait!
After seven hours in the hospital after the birth, Molly and the boys were all given a clean bill of health and discharged and now that we’re finally pulling up onto the driveway I feel myself relax. As I come to a stop I see all of my brothers step out of the farmhouse with my parents right behind them, all beaming with pride. The kids are still in nursery and preschool so it gives us some time to get settled. "Hey, where is Katie?" I ask my mom as I step out of the truck. "She's napping upstairs, Your dad has the baby monitor with him." I nod as I open up the back door and take out Jonah's car seat while Tom takes out Jacobs.
"Let me take Jonah so you can help Molls." I turn to find Callum right behind me and quickly take him up on the offer. Molly had to have stitches after the birth and as much as she's trying to cover it I know that she's in pain, I can see it. I quickly reach her door and open it. "Let's get you out sweetheart, Take your time there's no rush." She doesn't even argue with me fussing over her which just confirms how much pain she's in as she’s usually a stubborn goose when it comes to accepting help.
"I don't see how you can walk over to the house baby girl." Tom grunts. Shit, I didn't even think of that I look around me as I try to think of a way to get her there. As I see it I have two opinions here. One, I can drive the truck over to the house or two, I can carry her so seeing as I can’t actually get the truck over to the house I go with opinion number two and quickly sweep her up bridel style before she can argue it. "Chris, what are you doing?" she tries to wiggle her body but only ends up winching in pain. "Don't do that baby, You’re gonna hurt yourself." She huffs just as I hear Tom snigger. "Well, what are you doing carrying me?" By the time she asks me this, I'm already heading for the house with both Tom and Callum right behind us.
"Well we need to go home and I can't drive the truck over there so I'm carrying you as the only option that we have is to walk and I'm not letting you walk yet." She goes to argue with me but she must either be too tired to argue or maybe she can see by the look on my face that she won't win and instead rests her head on my chest making me smile. "We'll be over once Katie wakes up, Give you guys some time to settle in." my mom calls out as we walk away from the farmhouse. "Thanks, Mom."
