*Alberto’s POV*
When I finally managed to control my beast, I got out of the car. “Is everything alright, Alberto?” Francisco asked me with brows furrowed as I walked to them.
“Yeah. I’m just tired.” I replied as I gave Giulia a kiss on the cheek.
“Alla fine ci hai fatto visita.” (Italian for “You finally paid us a visit.”) She said, pursing her lips.
“Been busy.” I shrugged, looking back at Francisco, who was smirking at me.
“Posso dire che lo sei.” (Italian for “I can tell you are.”) He said as he pulled the shirt from around my neck. “I see Anita treated you well.” He said, making Isa crack her neck tensely.
“Padrino said you had to talk to me.” She said with a tense voice.
“Ah, yes. Come inside. I need to talk to the both of you.” He said as he turned toward the door.
I was about to walk behind Francisco when Isa’s hand brushed over my cōck, instantly waking it up. For fūck’s sake! It had just calmed down.
I pulled on her hair roughly, making her moan softly. I saw Giulia’s intentions to turn so I immediately released her.
“Did you say something, Isa?” She asked her with brows furrowed.
“No. Padrino just stepped on me.” She mumbled, elbowing me playfully.
“He has always been clumsy.” Giulia told her before turning to follow Francisco.
“You just earned yourself another punishment.” I told her in her ear, making her shiver. I tapped her asš gently before walking behind Francisco and Giulia.
As soon as we made it inside the office, I took the seat in front of Francisco’s desk as he took his seat behind it. “Get your Padrino a whiskey, Isa.” He told her, making her walk behind his chair to pour me a drink.
Francisco pulled Giulia into his lap, rubbing her legs up and down. I rolled my eyes at them, not understanding their relationship one bit.
“I’m listening.” I told him as I tried to keep my eyes off Isa’s beautiful round asš that was right behind him.
“Straight to business.” He chuckled as he smacked Giulia’s asš. “Give us a moment.” He told her, making her scoff.
“You told me to come and now you want me to leave?” She questioned him in annoyance as she stood on her feet.
“I know what I said. I am telling you to give us a fūcking moment.” He said through clenched teeth as Isa handed me my glass of whiskey tensely.
“Papa.” She said as soon as she turned. “Mama.”
Giulia glared at him for a few more seconds before stomping off, cursing at Francisco. “She’ll get over it when I fūck her attitude out of her system.” He chuckled, making Isa groan.
“Papa.” She complained as he waved her to shut up.
He pulled out a cigar, lighting it up instantly. “So?” I asked again.
“That little number you played at the warehouse, cost me a lot.” He said with a sigh as he took a puff of the cigar.
“Meaning?” I asked, feeling irritated that he was even bringing it up. He was cool about it earlier. What changed?
“Meaning that I have tried to keep those asšholes under control for so long. They have no idea that I know who they are and what they are planning against us. Your little number almost ruined my plans.” He said as he massaged his temples.
“What do you fūcking mean?” I asked him. “You know I hate it when you talk all dramatically. Get to the point.” I hissed as I stood on my feet, shoving my hands in my pocket.
“If I keep them happy, then they will give me Ventura without even realizing it.” I gritted my teeth impatiently as I waited for him to continue. “Turns out that they are working with Ventura. They are some sort of family to him and they have been feeding him information about us this whole time. But they don’t know that I’m on to them.”
“So then fūcking kill the traitors.” I told him, removing my hands from my pocket and placing them on the back of Isa’s seat.
“Unlike you, I actually think before killing every fūcker that crosses my path.” He said, puffing his cigar again. “I could kill two birds with one stone if we act wisely.”
“Okay. So why did I ruin your plans? I didn’t kill the asšhole’s son.” I told him as my thumb discretely caressed the back of Isa’s neck, forcing her legs to rub together.
“Because I would never turn on you and they know that. So they requested something of us so we could officially seal our alliance.”
“Why do you want to have them as partners though? You don’t need it! Just kill them and call it a day.” I told him, walking back to my chair and taking my seat.
“More information, obviously. I got intel that the day we are to take care of Ventura, they are all planning to attack us.” He said, gritting his teeth.
“They?” I asked with brows furrowed. “There are others?”
“Yes. A few capos have gotten together to overthrow me. Me? Can you fūcking believe it?” He asked angrily as he slammed his hands on the table.
“So who are they, Papa?” Isa asked suddenly, causing a shiver to run down my spine at how angelic her voice sounded.
“That’s where my information stops. My intel can’t seem to come out with the names of capos that are involved.” He replied. “So that is why I have to give in to their request.” He frowned before closing his eyes. “I’m sorry, baby girl.” He told her, making my heart rate pick up. Sorry? For fūcking what?
“What do you mean?” Isa asked with a shaky voice.
“Santoro requested your hand in marriage.” He replied and I swear I saw the room spin. There was a mixture of emotions, but the most prominent was anger. How the fūck was he considering this?
“Are you fūcking serious?” Isa yelled, breaking me from my trance. She stood on her feet cursing in Italian as Francisco shook his head at her.
“Isa. You will be widowed in no time. Don’t worry.” He said as he tried to get her to calm down, but I fūcking lost it.
“She isn’t getting married, Francisco.” I told him, making him turn to me.
“Alberto, stay out of this.” He said through clenched teeth as Isa stopped pacing. Stay out of this? Fūck no!
“I’m her godfather. I have a fūcking say.” I hissed, leaning forward before punching his desk.
“This is why you told Mama to leave, isn’t it?” She asked him, closing her eyes. “She would never agree to this.”
“Nothing will happen to you, principessa.” He said, making her throw her hands up in anger.
“This isn’t like you, Papa. You would never put me in the hands of the enemy.” Isa told him, almost at the brink of tears. I had never seen her shed a single tear in my whole life. Not even when she fell and scratched her knees as a kid. All I wanted to do was pull her into my arms.
“You are more than capable of protecting yourself, Isa. I have taught you well.” Francisco told her.
“Francisco.” I said, forcing him to look at me with sad eyes. All I felt like doing was knocking some sense into him. “I will help you get the information, but don’t make her do this. This is fūcking wrong.”
“I already gave my word.” He replied, making Isa gasp.
“No, Papa.” She gulped as he stood up and walked toward her. “Don’t touch me! Don’t fūcking touch me!” She yelled at him, backing up.
“Isa, go to your room.” I told her, making them both turn to me again. “I need to speak with your father.”
“If it involves—” She was saying, but stopped talking when she saw my face. She walked out of the office, slamming the door shut, causing one of the frames on the walls to fall on the ground, breaking it instantly.
“Alberto—”
“Francisco, I never go against you, but this isn’t fūcking happening. You aren’t doing that to Isa. I won’t allow it.”
“And go back on my fūcking word?” He asked angrily.
“It’s your fūcking daughter! You are putting her in danger! What the fūck would you do if the one giving you intel told them that you are on to them?” I asked him, making him shake his head.
“That won’t fūcking happen.” He said, making me squint my eyes.
“Who is it?” I asked in anger.
“His wife.” He replied as I shook my head.
“You are sleeping with his wife and want me to believe she won’t betray you?” I asked him in disgust. When the hell did my best friend turn so ignorant? I was an asšhole, but Isa and him are sacred to me. Even Giulia.
“It’s only temporary. She will only be married to him for a few days tops. I just need her to help me get the missing information out of his son. He doesn’t trust his wife anymore, so Isa is my best option now.” He said, making me shake my head. “Her son has a drug addiction and once Isa gives him what he wants, she will be able to get the information out of him that we need.” He said, making me feel like I would throw up at any moment.
“I don’t—” I was saying when he shook his head.
“It’s a done deal, Alberto. I didn’t call you in for that anyway. I called you to discuss our attack on Ventura.” He said, making me stand.
“I don’t have the head to speak to you right now. All I want to do is put a bullet in your head.” I muttered as I chugged the watered down whiskey before walking out of the room.
“Alberto! Alberto, don’t you fuc—” He was saying when I slammed his office door.
“What is going on?” Giulia asked me in panic. “Isa was crying and—” Crying?
“Where the fūck is she?” I asked her.
“She went upstairs and—” She was saying, but I walked off, taking the stairs two at a time. I walked down the hallway, taking long strides to get to her faster.
I opened the door abruptly as soon as I reached her door. “Angel?” I called out, furrowing my brows when I found her room dark and empty. “Angel!” I called again as I moved toward her bathroom. I looked everywhere. Closet, balcony, under her bed, you name it.
I pulled out my phone, quickly dialing her number, finding it off. I kicked her vanity chair against the wall before stomping out of her room angrily.
I walked toward my room as I dialed Edgardo’s number.
“Capo?” He answered on the first ring.
“Did you see Isa leave the house?” I asked him as I reached for the door.
“No, Capo.” He replied instantly while I closed the door behind me.
“I need you to go—” I was saying when I heard something behind me. I quickly pressed the end call button before reaching for my gun.
“It’s me.” My angel whispered, making me relax. I threw my phone on the dresser before walking toward her. “Padrino, I—” She was saying when I pulled her into my arms, crashing our lips together, claiming what’s mine. She was mine and nothing or anyone would change that.
