His Forbidden Goddaughter

Chapter 37 | Blushing Disclosures

Ch. 38 / 45 May 03, 2026

*Penelope’s POV*

“I haven’t really toured the house myself.” Isa commented to her mom as we walked through one of the living rooms.

“It’s fine. We can just talk while the guys finish.” Giulia replied as her eyes moved to me. “And you, Pen?” She asked me while she took a seat on the black couch.

“Me what?” I questioned back, clearing my throat nervously.

“You seem quiet.” She informed me before smirking. “Unless your mouth is still numb from your make-out session.”

“Penelope!” Isa gasped, pulling my hand, so I could sit between them. “You didn’t tell me. Come on! Spill the beans!”

‘Of course, bītch, because you were too busy getting fūcked in every corner of this estate.’ I thought to myself before exhaling. At least one of us was getting dīck, right?

“Weren’t we going to show your mom the house?” I asked Isa, biting down on my lip.

“Not until you spit out some juicy details.” Isa laughed as her mother joined her.

“No need to hold back because I’m here. From what I saw—” She was saying, making me groan and cover my face.

“Signora Blanco.” (Italian for “Mrs. Blanco.”) I complained, not needing to be reminded how close she caught Edgardo and me earlier. “We didn’t even kiss. That time.” I mumbled under my breath. If she would have seen what went down in the bathroom— Dio, I don’t want to think about it.

“That time.” Isa stated, clapping her hands. “So it has happened!”

“I never said that.” I scoffed, feeling my cheeks warm up in embarrassment. Mrs. Blanco was like another mother to me. I did not feel comfortable talking about that in front of her.

“How about I get us some drinks?” Mrs. Blanco offered, standing up. “I have a feeling that I will need it when I get to Isa.” She said, making Isa and I look at each other in confusion.

“What do you mean, Mama?” Isa asked her, shifting in her seat to face her.

Mrs. Blanco was about to speak when a petite girl walked toward us before clearing her throat. “Qualcuno di voi vorrebbe qualcosa da bere?” (Italian for “Would any of you like anything to drink?”) She asked in a small voice as she kept her eyes on the floor. She reminded me a lot of myself when I started working at the Blanco estate. I didn’t want to mess anything up, but once Isa took me in as her friend, things changed for the better.

“Yes, sweetheart.” Mrs. Blanco told her, looking at Isa over her shoulder. “I need something stronger than wine.”

Again, Isa and I furrowed our brows before Isa nodded. “Vodka it is.” Isa told the girl as the girl dipped her chin before turning and leaving us three alone.

I was a little tense about sharing what was going on between Edgardo and me, but I was even more tense about what Isa’s mom had to say.

Mrs. Blanco walked towards the black table that was placed between the couch we were on and another set of chairs before taking a seat on the table. She exhaled as she lifted her eyes to meet Isa’s with a frown. “What is going on between Alberto and you?” She asked, making my eyes go wide and my mouth dry.

“What are you talking ab—” Isa was saying, but her mom shot her a glare, making her press her lips together. “Mama.” Isa blew out a breath of air as I fidgeted with my fingers.

“Your father may be blind, but I’m not stupīd. I saw the way you both looked at each other at the house. The way he defended you against your father, his best friend. In addition, I saw the conditions of his office a few minutes ago and the freshly fūcked faces you both had. I act stupīd so that your father doesn’t notice because you and I both know how that would go.” She told her, clamping her hands together on her lap.

“It seems like you have a pretty good idea of what was going on then. So what are you asking?” Isa replied, flipping her hair behind her shoulder.

“Is it serious or is it like what you’ve had with the others?” She continued questioning her as Isa nodded.

“It’s the most serious I have been in my life.” Isa informed her, making her sigh and close her eyes.

“Cazzo. Sarà un bagno di sangue.” (Italian for “Fūck. It will be a bloodbath.”) She mumbled under her breath as the girl from earlier walked over with the vodka bottle and a few glasses, placing it next to Mrs. Blanco.

“Thank you.” Isa muttered, immediately dismissing her so that we could continue our conversation. Well, more like their conversation. I was lucky that I didn’t have to discuss Edgardo and my situation.

As soon as the girl was gone, Isa immediately reached for the bottle and poured us all a drink before chugging hers right down, making me cringe. I don’t think I was ready to feel the burn down my throat. “It doesn’t have to be like that. There has to be another way.” Isa told her mom as she refilled her cup.

“Di tutti gli uomini…” (Italian for “Of all men…”) Mrs. Blanco scoffed, chugging her drink. “I doubt there is a way other than cutting ties, Isa. Your father is very sensitive about loyalty.” She spat the last word like she knew something about his disloyalty. “And he will feel that Alberto has betrayed him and their friendship.”

“Mama, Padrino loves Papa. He would never betray their friendship.” Isa told her, reaching for her mother’s hands.

“Try to explain that to him.” She muttered under her breath as Isa exhaled in exhaustion.

“Can you help me find a way to tell Papa without their relationship being strained?” Isa asked her as her mother nodded in response.

“I will see what I can come up with.” Mrs. Blanco replied, placing a kiss on Isa’s forehead, making me smile. My mom and I were close, but never this close to talk about my sēx life like they just did.

“Thank you, Mama.” Isa whispered, pulling away to kiss both of Mrs. Blanco’s cheeks.

“My only concern is—” Isa’s mom sighed before clicking her tongue. “Getting your father to go back on his word about the wedding with the Santoro kid. Because knowing Alberto, I’m sure he won’t want to share you.” She concluded, making Isa groan as she poured herself another drink.

*Alberto’s POV*

I placed my hands flat against my desk as I waited for Edgardo to speak. When he told us that there was another problem, I continued my way to my desk, having a feeling that whatever news I’d receive would officially make me lose it.

Francisco sat down, eyeing my desk suspiciously while we waited for Edgardo to pour us a drink before telling us the problem.

“What the fūck happened here?” Francisco asked with brows furrowed as his eyes moved between the mess on the ground, my desk, and my face. “You are usually more organized than me.” He commented, leaning forward on his chair and grabbing a few pages in front of him before he noticed something else.

My jaw ticked in irritation. One thing about me was that I was no liar, but I couldn’t tell my brother that I had fūcked his daughter against the desk while he waited for us outside. “I might have lost my shīt with the latest news about the price placed on Isa’s head.” I bluffed as Francisco lifted the knife I had used on Isa a few minutes ago.

“I’d say you lost more than your shīt.” He declared, handing me the knife that I’d be using on my angel again. I looked at the knife, feeling myself getting hard at the memory of where it had been earlier. Maybe I should get Francisco to wash his hands.

The clearing of his throat brought me back to the present, forcing me to blink away my hazy vision. “Oh.” I muttered when I noticed Edgardo’s extended hand. “Thank you.” I said, grabbing the glass of whiskey and bringing it to my lips as I pocketed my knife.

After gulping a generous amount of the whiskey, I fixed my glare on Edgardo. “Are you going to speak or do I need to force it out of your mouth?” I growled out as he handed Francisco’s drink to him before he took the seat in front of my desk.

I didn’t want to sit. Even after having fūcked my angel, I was still tense as hell.

“Il tecnico ci ha informato che abbiamo un traditore.” (Italian for “The tech guy informed us that we have a traitor.”) He declared as he rolled his stiff neck.

My grip on my glass tightened as my eyes wandered to his arms, finding them clean from blood. “Has he been questioned?” I asked through clenched teeth as Francisco leaned forward, placing his glass on my desk before unbuttoning his suit jacket.

“Yes, but he’s playing the victim.” Edgardo replied, as I nodded before turning to Francisco. We could be fighting and all, but we made a hell of a team when it came to tortūre and questioning.

“Why don’t we pay him a visit, Fratello?” Francisco smirked as my phone vibrated, making me grab it while I flashed him a forced smile.

‘Fūcking annoying phone.’ I thought to myself, looking at the screen when I remembered all the times it had rung while I fūcked my angel.

“What is it, Tito?” I answered in annoyance. He had Edgardo’s phone, so I didn’t understand why he was calling my phone.

“Capo.” He coughed out before clearing his throat. “It’s quite urgent and delicate, so that was why I decided to go directly to you and have insisted a few times.

I clenched my teeth as I allowed him to proceed with the information. If this was in fact useless information, he’d be as good as dead. I wasn’t known to have incompetent fūckers working for me.

“We have been trying to get Daniella out of any and all Morello territory, but she has been refusing—” He was saying, but I scoffed out.

“Kill her.” I growled, feeling extra irritated at him for wasting my time. I could care two shīts about her. I only had time for my angel and no one else. I wasn’t going to let anyone or anything get in our way.

“That’s the problem.” He stated nervously as my eyes hardened. If the fūcker were in front of me, he’d be several feet underground by now. My eyes met with Francisco’s, who was looking back in confusion. “She claims that she is pregnant with your future heir.” Tito declared, making me roll my neck as I pulled on my tight collar. She wasn’t fūcking pregnant. She couldn’t be. Only my angel could have my children.

“Was this confirmed?” I almost growled out, but I kept my anger under control so that Francisco wouldn’t question me further, even though I doubted he wouldn’t.

“No, Capo.” He mumbled, forcing me to pinch the bridge of my nose as I inhaled slowly. Like I needed more fūcking problems on my plate.

“Well, get that shīt confirmed and only then call me back.” I muttered as I ended the call, slamming my phone on my desk.

“What was that about?” Francisco asked me as he stood up and removed his jacket. I knew he’d fūcking ask.

I hated lying to him, but I wasn’t about to admit I possibly knocked up another woman if I ever hoped for him to accept my relationship with his daughter. I mean, we were a long way from disclosing our relationship to him, but I was hoping we could hint at it little by little. Hopefully, he wouldn’t lose his shīt when he found out and I wouldn’t lose my brother because I sure as hell wasn’t losing my angel.

“They think they have found the location of the fūckers that sent the feds to one of my businesses after setting a trap.” I uttered, hoping he’d believe me and we could get going with the traitor we had to question.

“It’s a female?” He asked while he rolled up his sleeves. Fūck. I did say kill her, didn’t I?

“Yes.” I replied, getting up and rolling up my sleeves as well. “It’s unfortunate, but you can’t mess with me and live to tell it.” I declared before meeting Edgardo’s eyes. “Dov’è lo stronzo?” (Italian for “Where’s the asšhole?”)
