Fatty Betty's Diary: My Bully's Crush

Monica’s Plan Unravels

Ch. 214 / 251 Mar 20, 2026

Stacey’s POV

The silence in Dad’s study was deafening, broken only by the faint rustle of papers as I sifted through the files I’d stolen from his desk. My heart pounded with every page I turned, the growing realization of his betrayal making my hands tremble. The elegant decor of the room—the leather chair, the polished mahogany desk, the shelves lined with books—all seemed to mock me, as if the space itself was complicit in his deceit.

Marcus had been right.

Monica wasn’t just helping Dad manage his finances—she was orchestrating something far more sinister. I kept flipping through the pages until an email caught my eye, standing out like a flashing neon sign. It was addressed to Monica, the subject line reading: Final Approval Required.

"Once Stacey signs off, the transfer will be finalized. She won’t even notice the missing funds."

The words stared back at me, cold and unfeeling. My breath hitched as the full weight of their plan settled over me. They were setting me up, using my name to cover their tracks. My stomach twisted in knots, and a wave of anger bubbled beneath the surface, threatening to spill over. How could they? How could he?

My phone buzzed on the desk, the sudden sound making me jump. I grabbed it like a lifeline, desperate for some semblance of control. Marcus’s name flashed on the screen. I swiped to answer.

“Marcus,” I said, my voice shaky.

“I found something else,” he said without preamble, his tone grim and clipped. “Monica’s been funneling money offshore—big amounts, under shell accounts tied to your dad’s businesses.”

“Are you serious?” My voice cracked, the gravity of his words slamming into me. I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms as I fought to keep my composure.

“This isn’t just bad, Stace,” he said, his voice softer now but no less urgent. “It’s a disaster waiting to happen. If we don’t act, they’ll drag you down with them.”

I swallowed hard, my throat dry as sandpaper. My mind raced, a chaotic blur of fear and determination. “Meet me tomorrow,” I said finally, forcing my voice to steady. “We’ll figure out our next move.”

“I’ll be there,” Marcus said, his tone leaving no room for doubt.

As the call ended, I looked back down at the incriminating email. My hands were still trembling, but this time it wasn’t just fear coursing through me. It was resolve. They thought I was a pawn in their game, but they were about to find out just how wrong they were. I wasn’t going to let them destroy me—not without a fight.
