The forest was cold after the rain. There were no dry spots to sleep and the night was much darker since we were deep within the forest. None of it bothered the werewolves. Unlike me, they could see clearly in the night and they have furs to keep them warm.
I stood beside Alpha Deucalion as he watches his pack rest for the night. The clothes I was still in were wet. My body shivers cold. I leaned against him trying to find warmth in his fur.
"Follow me," he told.
I did, not questioning where he was taking me.
We stopped at a large tree away from everyone. Where they could not see us.
"Take off your clothes," Alpha Deucalion instructed me.
I was surprised by his remark. I froze speechlessly.
"Do as I say," he again instructed me.
My head kept away from his. I was afraid to. I felt uncomfortable stripping myself before a man much less a werewolf. I've never done it before.
Alpha Deucalion sense I was tense by his remark.
"You'll become sick if you allow your clothes to be dry on you," he told me. "Take it off and hang it on the tree and lay within my fur for the night for warmth."
I looked behind me as I heard Alpha Deucalion walk off. He lay under the large tree and his back turned as if he was giving me some privacy to remove my clothes.
My head turned away from his and I looked at the low branch I could hang my clothes, trying to find the courage to take off my clothes. I began to hurriedly take off my clothes and looked behind me if he was watching. His eyes were closed. As I took off my clothes I placed them onto the branch to dry. My hand covered my breast and my lower area staring at the alpha, nervously, who seemed to be fast asleep.
"Come," I heard him. My body jumped.
My heart races and my eyes never left his closed eyes praying he doesn't open them to look at me. A cool wind brushes against my skin. I feel as if I was freezing. I hurriedly walked to him and stood at his side in the dark looking down.
"Lay within my fur and be warm," said Alpha Deucalion.
I lowered myself. Both hands are still against my bosom and my private area as I bend down to lay in his fur. My hands soon moved from against me as I felt his warm soft fur against my skin. It was the warmest I ever felt. I curled up against him no longer feeling cold. Alpha Deucalion's body encircled mine, giving me every warmth he could give me.
Not feeling sleepy as yet. I looked at his head as my head rested below his neck. I was cozy and cozier than I'd ever felt. I soon couldn't help thinking about us when the war between him and Bazaar is over. Knowing how powerful Alpha Deucalion was. I never doubt that he will lose the war tomorrow.
"What will happen to us when the war ends? Will we go our own ways to live our lives and forget each other?" I had to ask.
I needed to know if there can be something between us after the kiss we shared in the witches' cave and that we both had feelings for each other.
Alpha Deucalion motioned his head to mine and his nose rubs against my face. It was cold and wet. His nose felt so good against my face. My eye closed at his touch.
"As long as I'm within your world. I'll forever be with you," he responded
I smiled, hugging him.
The morning Alpha Deucalion woke me up before the other were awakened and instructed me to get dressed. His back turned as I went for my clothes and put them on.
Alpha Deucalion men gathered around him as he began to inform them of their plan to put Bazaar to an end. To lure him from the wall away from the human and kill him. A plan he should have allowed to happen long ago.
"And what will I do?" I asked seeing his entire plan didn't consist of me helping him.
"I've decided not to include you in the war, it's far too dangerous for you," retorts Alpha Deucalion.
I was disappointed by his remark.
There was nothing I could say to get the alpha to make me a part of his plan to end Bazaar. He had already made up his mind to not let me be a part of it.
Before Alpha Deucalion left with his men to defeat Bazaar. His beast face rubbed against the side of my face. I hugged him saying our farewell until we meet again. Cali was set to watch over us along with a few others who weren't able to fight alongside Alpha Deucalion. They were children, elderly wolves, and those who weren't ready for a battle yet.
I didn't plan to stay with Cali. I had too made up my mind to help with the war, after all, my kind too was a part of it, and mostly my mom and my best friend. I was worried they were over the wall with the werewolf in human skin pretending to be one of us.
I secretly ran off with the cloak and the bow and arrow I had taken from the witch's cave, hiding it within the cloak. I had reached the wall, I stood away from it behind a tree wondering how I could manage to enter without being caught. I was now known as, the werewolf witch and if I'm spotted I'll truly regret leaving Cali.
Several men who appeared to be woodcutters were running towards the gate. They had axes in their hands. I realized it seemed Alpha Deucalion and his men had started the war with Bazaar.
"There are werewolves attacking each other!" one yelled.
The gate opened and I saw it was a good sign for me to enter the gate along with them. I ran from behind the tree and blend in with them. I hid behind a large barrel before they could spot me.
"Let Bazaar know what is happening," a werewolf protector tells another guard after hearing what had happened.
As the woodcutter went away along with the guard. The werewolf protector climbed the wall to see what was happening. A small bottle of wolf's banes fell from his pocket. I took it up and quickly ran away. My head was covered by the hood of the cloak while everyone scurried away after hearing the news from others about what was happening.
"They've gone mad for each other now after killing thousands of us," a male muttered.
"Red." I was spotted by Delphine.
I ran behind a building hoping to escape her but she caught upon me.
"Please, don't let anyone know that I'm here," I begged her.
She nodded. My body jumped as Delphine hugged me.
"I missed you," she said.
"I missed you too." I returned her hug.
"Your mother had been in a bad state since you've been gone. She thought the werewolf had taken you as his slave."
"I'm fine. He took care of me."
"I need you to help me with something."
"What?" Delaphine hand moved from around me.
"I need you to help me but a stop to Bazaar."
Her eyes widen, surprised.
"He's a werewolf Del, I saw him shift into one."
Delaphine could not believe what I had said.
I showed her the cloak I was wearing and informed her it was what he was using along with the leather gloves to protect himself from the wolf's bane.
Delaphine nodded, still in shock by the news.
"If he truly is, how can we stop him?" she asked.
"I just need him to take off the gloves and the cloak and for everyone to see he is a werewolf."
"It's not going to be easy. He may try to kill us," retorted Delaphine.
"I know, but Alpha Deucalion and his men are on their way here. They can protect us. If we managed to escape after our plan have worked.
She nodded but was unsure that our plan will work.
"Give me a minute Red, let me give this to Ezekiel, he's not far from here," she held a small bag in her hand that had the aroma of food. It seemed she was bringing breakfast to her partner at his work.
"I'll be right here waiting, but don't take too long."
She nodded and hurriedly went off. I sat impatiently waiting on her. Within a few minutes, I heard footsteps coming toward me. I stood up. I began to run seeing it was not her but guards. They caught me and hold my hands from behind.
As they carried me away I spotted Delaphine staring at me within the crowd. My eyes went away from her, disappointed that she chooses to call the guards on me. I couldn't believe that she didn't trust me. My best friend betrayed me.
