Chapter 99

Ch. 99 / 109 Nov 28, 2025

CHAPTER 99 - LIAM’S INVITATIONHarriet was awakened by the kisses peppered on her face. Liam kissed her gently, but quickly and repeatedly. When the man noticed Harriet wake up, he smirked.

"Good morning, Madam," he whispered, kissing Harriet on the cheek.

Harriet reached her hand out to Liam, hugging his neck in a coyish gesture.

"Good morning, Milord," she answered hoarsely.

Liam kept kissing her cheek, making Harriet ticklish and shrug her shoulders. Harriet's laughter made the man laugh too. The two joked around a bit until Harriet's eyes finally opened wide.

The woman realized that it was still dark. The sun had not yet begun to peek at the bottom of the horizon.

Her husband smiled at seeing her confusion. "Get ready."

Harriet, who had just woken up and was still confused, saw Liam suddenly take off his own clothes. She wondered with a blush on her face looking at her husband's perfect body. If the man asked her to get ready and then take off his clothes, what would he do?

So Harriet started to unbutton her evening gown, revealing her cleavage.

But when Liam turned his head with his innocent face, the man just looked at her, confused. He was surprised to see Harriet starting to take off her clothes too. The two stared at each other for a moment.

When Harriet saw Liam's mischievous and playful face appear, she immediately realized something was wrong.

"Hmm, so Madam has other plans?" the man laughed in a low voice, adding, "Alright, how about we play for a round or two before leaving?"

Liam climbed into bed and pinned Harriet who was blushing.

"S-so we are going out? Why didn't you tell me?" Harriet crossed her arms in front of her exposed chest, stopping Liam from groping her.

Of course, Liam didn't stop. He kissed Harriet hot on the lips, parted her teeth and the roof of her mouth, and then used his tongue to dance for a while with her tongue.

"Mm…" Harriet moaned softly.

After kissing and fully awakening Harriet, Liam backed away, smiled sweetly and folded his clothes on the bed. "Hold my clothes for me. Let's go on a date. I remember there is a beautiful place in the forest near the capital."

Ah.

Liam wanted to take her on a date… but naked?

The questions on Harriet's mind were answered when Liam suddenly transformed into a giant wolf. Harriet was startled and sat up. Her white evening gown slid down from her shoulders and showed the pure white skin of her shoulders and cleavage.

The giant white wolf stepped closer and licked Harriet's neck, then nudged her chin, asking Harriet to get out of bed and climb onto his back.

Seeing it all, Harriet laughed helplessly. Luckily this room had high ceilings and a large balcony window for them to get out of. Harriet quickly put on a pale lavender robe over her evening gown and put on her simple white shoes.

She hugged Liam's clothes and saw the giant white wolf with golden eyes lower its body to the floor. Harriet hesitated. Liam was huge, but she didn't want to make him uncomfortable by climbing his body.

HRFF

The wolf snorted softly, glancing at her like a dog waiting for a hug and a caress. Harriet could feel enthusiasm filling her chest. Her husband's other form which was so big and fluffy looked so adorable in her eyes.

For a moment, Harriet just wanted to stroke his fur and put her face close to his. Harriet climbed onto Liam's back and the huge wolf jumped out of the balcony with incredible speed.

His speed made Harriet gasp. In less than five seconds, they were out of the capital, jumping over rooftops towards the remote forest to the West. Harriet, an accomplished equestrian, could balance herself well on Liam's back, but what amazed her so much was how smoothly Liam ran on all four.

Harriet really couldn't feel any shakings while sitting on Liam's back. It felt like riding on something that could float low in the air. Harriet had indeed given up horseback riding ever since she found out about her pregnancy.

She was starting to miss riding, but now Liam was giving her the most amazing opportunity she'd ever had. With this incredible speed, Harriet's right hand was itching. If she wielded Jousting's lance and fought on Liam's back, no cavalry could defeat her.

Harriet laughed happily, half-amused to herself. It had been a long time since she had touched Jousting's lance due to her busy schedule. Maybe now her skills had become rusty.

The road began to change to be an uphill road. The hills that lined the west of the Capital were filled with yellow wildflowers among the low grass. As Liam and Harriet reached the top of the tallest hill, they could see the sun rising over the eastern horizon.

Harriet smiled warmly at the sun. She closed her eyes and prayed silently.

After the sun rose, Harriet heard Liam growl softly.

"Hmm?" she couldn't understand what her husband was trying to say, but Liam suddenly folded his four legs down and turned to Harriet. "Ah, should I come down? We have arrived?" she asked.

The white giant wolf shook his head and gently nudged Harriet's chin. He stuck his tongue out and licked the cheeks and lips of the ticklish Harriet. Then Liam stepped back a little and stomped his feet on the ground.

WOOF!

"Huh?" Harriet still couldn't understand.

Frustrated, Liam closed his eyes and looked down dejectedly.

"I'm sorry… I don't understand, Milord," Harriet read in a book about Lycans that a Lycan's Destined Mate was able to understand what they were saying even though they were in wolf form. Harriet looked a little sad, but Liam walked gently around her.

Liam finally positioned himself to sit behind Harriet, and then swung one of his front paws to motion for Harriet to sit down.

"Oh," Harriet understood this time. But after she sat down, Liam got up again and sped off somewhere. Of course, even Harriet got confused, and furrowed her brows in surprise, "Eh?"

Seconds later, Harriet understood.

"Did he ask me to wait here?" she muttered. She laughed a little then.

In the morning sun, Harriet sat alone on the hill. Harriet looked at her feet and decided to take off her shoes and feel the grassy ground soaked with the morning dew.

The day after tomorrow was the Emperor's birthday, and his birthday party would be held in the evening.

As Harriet was lost in thought, she saw a group of people escorting three large covered carriages on a tree-lined road. Harriet quickly lowered herself, afraid they would see her in only a nightgown and a robe. But that was not the only reason why she was hiding herself.

She could see them from up the hill, and Harriet realized they looked suspicious. They did look like ordinary merchants and their guards, but everyone in the group was fully armed and looked serious.

Closely covered carriages and tight security.

Were they escorting something really important?
