The Alpha Triplets and the Rogue

Chapter 331 Waiting

Ch. 331 / 580 Jan 28, 2026

Mae POV

Leo begins to sway on his feet. Beads of sweat are forming on his forehead, and his skin pales quickly. He is going to pass out.

He presses his hands against the bed, trying to balance himself. He is mumbling something under his breath that I cannot understand.

"You need to sit down," I yell from the floor, but neither Leo nor Raven are paying attention to me. Their eyes are glued to Oliver.

The steady beeping of his life-saving machines becomes erratic. Hopping to my feet, I quickly rush around the room, checking the machines. His heart rate is abnormally high, but I don't know what a normal heartbeat for a werewolf is.

I try to squeeze around Leo to get closer to Oliver, but he is refusing to move. "You need to sit down," I snap at him.

"I'm fine," he replies, but his words are slurred.

I roll my eyes at him and pull a chair to the edge of the bed. I place my hands on Leo's shoulders and force him into the chair. He growls at me but remains sitting in the chair. Leo's eyes begin to flutter, and his head falls forward.

Raven lets out a shocked gasp and rushes to his side. Lifting his head into her hands, she smacks his face gently. "Leo," she hisses. "Leo, wake up. I can't lose you too."

I press the call button for the nurse and glare in Raven's direction. "You shouldn't have let him mark Oliver."

"I saw that Leo's mark would awaken Oliver," Raven exclaims. "But I didn't foresee this."

Raven shakes her head, and she tries not to cry. I don't have time to deal with her. I need to make sure her mates are stable. The feelings of the Luna Queen do not matter at the moment.

A nurse comes running in and stands in the doorway in shock. Raven is sobbing loudly as she tries to wake Leo, and Oliver is beginning to shake uncontrollably.

"What happened?" The nurse asks in shock.

"She let her healthy mate mark her sick mate, and I couldn't stop them," I grumble as I check Oliver's IV line.

"Oh my," the nurse says as she clasps a hand over her heart.

"Are you going to do anything to help?" I scream at her. "If not, go get someone else."

Shockingly, the nurse rushes out of the hospital room. "What the fuck," I mutter as I try to silence Oliver's machines.

Suddenly, Oliver's body begins to convulse, and a yellowish foam spews from around the tube in his mouth.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck," I sputter as I try to suction his airway.

Tears begin rolling down my cheeks. I am losing him. His heart monitor rapidly drops and flatlines. I push Raven out of the way and begin compressions on Oliver's chest.

"What are you doing?" Raven screams at me.

"I am trying to save your mate's life," I scream back at her.

"What about Leo?" She whimpers.

I stop my compressions and stare at her in disbelief. "I am the only one here. You are going to have to choose."

Raven backs away from the bed, and her face turns white with panic. "I can't choose."

I growl in her direction and her eyes widen in shock. I don't think anyone has spoken to her this way before. Turning away from her, I press down on Oliver's chest, and his eyes fly open.

I look up at the machines, but they still aren't detecting a heartbeat. I blink my eyes quickly, thinking my mind is playing tricks on me. When Oliver comes back into focus, his eyes are glued to mine. He wraps his hand around my wrist and lifts me off his chest.

I slowly get off him but don't take my eyes off his face. He tries to swallow awkwardly and taps his throat with his fingers.

"He wants you to remove the tube from his throat," Raven whispers from behind me.

"I'm not a physician," I whisper back.

"He trusts you," Raven assures me and pushes me in Oliver's direction.

I glance at Leo as I make my way over to Oliver. His body is still limp, and he is sliding out of the chair. I carefully pull the tube from Oliver's throat. I rest it on the bed beside Oliver and breathe a sigh of relief when his heart monitor begins to beat steadily again.

Oliver pushes me from the edge of the bed, and once again, I find myself flat on the floor. Oliver hops from the bed as if he hasn't been in a coma for several days. He pulls all of the tubes and wires from his body, and the look in his eyes is one of determination.

I back away from him. I have never seen him look so unstable before, and I am afraid of what he might do. But his attention is on Leo.

Raven tries to step between him and Leo, but he snarls at her and pushes her out of the way. Raven whimpers at her mate's reaction and cowers in the opposite corner.

Oliver picks Leo up by his neck and stares at him awkwardly for just a moment. He tilts Leo's neck to the side and presses his lips to the mark that was left there by Raven.

"Please don't," I cry from the corner. "We don't fully understand what is going on."

Oliver tears his lips away from Leo's neck and glares in my direction. I press my lips together in a thin line. He is going to be the same as Leo. He is going to do as he pleases no matter the repercussions.

Raven is in the other corner holding her breath. She doesn't know what will happen this time, and it is written all over her face. Her eyes are red and puffy from crying, but she tries to remain stoic.

Oliver looks longingly at Raven before he sinks his teeth into Leo's neck. It is like watching the same horror movie over and over again. Oliver seals his mark with his tongue, and I wait.

He lowers Leo back into the chair gently and kneels by his side. He doesn't sway from side to side like I expect him to. Instead, he holds onto Leo's hand and squeezes it gently.

Raven rushes to Leo's other side and takes his other hand. We all wait in silence for him to wake up or die.
