The Alpha Triplets and the Rogue

Chapter 266 Traitor Among Us

Ch. 266 / 580 Jan 28, 2026

Kieran POV

I open the door to my office and see Mae and Tish waiting outside with the two Omegas at their side. Neither of the Omegas meets my gaze, and I wonder what is going on.

"Why haven't you shown them to their rooms?" I ask the Omegas.

Both of the Omegas bare their necks to me, but neither is willing to explain to me what is going on.

Finally, Tish rolls her eyes and steps forward. "Mae wanted you to show her where she would be staying."

Mae keeps her eyes trained on the ground before her and shuffles from side to side. A deep red blush creeps up her neck and stains her face. She looks so cute. I can't be frustrated.

Turning my attention to the Omegas, I said, "You are dismissed."

The Omegas scurry away. Their heads are together as they whisper. I am sure they will spread rumors about Mae and Tish as soon as possible. That is one bad thing about pack life. Rumors spread quickly. Everyone is in everyone else's business.

I hold out my hand for Mae, and she quickly takes it. She then holds her other hand out for Tish. I raise my eyebrow as Tish links her fingers in Mae's, but I don't say anything. I have to keep reminding myself that they are package deal.

I lead the two up the stairs of the pack house, to the top floor. Typically, guests would stay on the lower floors, but I want Mae to be as close to me as possible.

Stopping at the top of the stairs, I point to a door. "Tish, that is your room."

She nods her head but doesn't let go of Mae's hand and go into her room. A growl threatens to rumble in my chest, but I choke it down.

Walking further down the hall, I pass several rooms before I get to the room I want Mae to stay in. "This is your room," I say as I open the door.

Mae gasps loudly as she walks inside. Next to my room, it is the second largest in the pack house. It is decorated in mauve and gold. A seating area is next to a fireplace, and a large king-sized bed in the middle of the room.

Stepping further into the room, I point toward one of the doors. "That is a closet," I say as I open the door. "But it also serves as a panic room. This is where you are to go if we are ever under attack. It locks on the inside."

Mae's face turns white as I talk about the panic room. She swallows hard but nods in understanding.

"This door leads to your private bath," I tell her.

Tish flops down on the bed and whistles loudly. "Exactly how much money do you have?"

Mae turns to Tish and glares in her direction. "That's not polite," she hisses at her friend.

Tish holds her hands up and laughs. "It was just a question."

Mae's eyes search the room and I wait patiently for her reaction. I am nervous she won't like it. "This is too much," she finally says. "I would be fine in a smaller room."

"I wouldn't be fine with you in a smaller room," I admit. "I want you to be close to me."

Mae cocks her head to the side and looks at me curiously. "Where is your room?"

"It is right…" I begin, but the sound of sirens stops me.

Mae's eyes widen with fear but Tish looks excited.

I grab Mae by the shoulders and give her a slight shake, trying to gain her attention. "Remember what I told you about the closet?"

Mae nods her head.

"Go into the closet and don't come out for anyone but me. Press the red button on the wall next to the door. That will lock you in," I tell her hurriedly.

"What about you?" The panic in Mae's voice is apparent.

"I have to protect my pack," I tell her as I lead her toward the closet.

Mae steps inside the closet and reaches out for Tish. Tish joins her in the closet, but she doesn't look amused. I shut the door and listen for the locks to click.

Once I am sure Mae is safe, I run out of the room and down the stairs.

The pack house is in chaos. Rogues are running through the house, tormenting the Omegas. They are demanding to know the key code to get down into the dungeons.

I let out a fearsome roar, and all of the rogues' attention is instantly on me. I can feel each of their eyes narrowing on me as they stalk in my direction. I do not care about my clothes or the damage I will cause to the pack house. I shift into my massive wolf.

Karr instantly comes forward and begins to rip into the rogues one by one. They try to attack me several at a time but they are sloppy and no match for Karr. We have been trained every day of our lives for this.

While Karr rips the throat out of one rogue, another jumps onto our back. Karr manages to shake the wolf off his back and sends him flying into the opposite wall. Before the rogue can regain his balance, Karr is on top of him and sinks his teeth into his neck. His vertebrae snap under the pressure of Karr's jaws. Karr shakes him violently, snapping his neck before dropping him to the ground.

A loud howl sounds off in the distance, and what is left of the rogues begin to run from the pack house.

'Don't let them leave our territory,' I scream down the mind link to our warriors.

'Yes, Alpha,' they all respond.

Shifting back into my human form, I rush around the corner to the door that leads to the dungeon. I stop in my tracks as I see the door wide open. My mouth goes dry as I rush down the stairs. As I reach the bottom of the stairs, I see that Jameson's cell is open, and he is gone.

Footsteps come up from behind me, and I twist quickly, catching the person by their throat. My hand only relaxes when I realize it is my Papa. I drop my hand from his neck and growl in anger.

"There is a traitor among us."
