Chapter 21

Ch. 21 / 71 Jan 16, 2026

Brooke scrunched her nose up as she sat down. "That does not look like soup."

Indianna sat down next to Brooke and caught Greyson's eye as she did. He pursed his lips slightly, but after a minute he smiled slightly and sat down at a different table with Harry and Kal.

"It's quite nice," Alice said. "Healthy."

"I think I'll stick to a lovely slice of pizza," Sasha said, pushing the soup away.

"You promised you'd be healthy with me-"

"I lied. You must not have tastebuds if you can eat that vile food," Sasha said and Indianna laughed slightly.

Alice pouted slightly and turned to Indianna. "You've not been at school for ages. Where have you been?" She wondered.

"I was ill," Indianna said.

"Are you alright now?"

"I hope so," Indianna murmured.

"Indie, do you know what I want to know?" Sasha said, smirking at Indianna.

"What?"

"What's Greyson like in bed?" Sasha said and Indianna choked on her own spit. "He's the dominant type, isn't he? It's not 50 Shades of Grey shit, is it? That stuff is just nasty."

"Sasha!" Brooke gasped and laughed loudly. "You can't ask that!"

"Why not? I know all about yours and Harry's sex life. He likes it rough, baby," Sasha winked and Brooke went bright red which made Sasha smirk.

"Jesus," Brooke muttered and shook her head.

"I'm interested now," Alice said curiously and edged forward, looking at Indianna.

"I wouldn't know what he's like in bed," Indianna said and Sasha's mouth dropped.

"You mean you haven't had sex?"

"No."

"He hasn't tried to do it with you?"

Indianna shook her head.

"Indianna isn't like the other girls he's been with. Greyson cares for her, unlike the others," Brooke said and Indianna frowned.

Did she feel jealous about these 'other girls'?

She knew they weren't with Greyson now, but they were previously.

"He wouldn't force me to do that," Indianna said. "He would no longer have balls if he did."

Sasha and Alice laughed just as Voilet joined them. "I think I joined this conversation at the wrong time," she said, raising her eyebrows questioningly at the girls.

"Indianna hasn't fucked Greyson," Sasha said. "Which we find highly surprising."

"That is shocking," Violet nodded. "He usually fucks and goes."

Greyson snatched Indianna's phone out of her hand and he stiffened. "He's been texting you!" He growled. "Why the fuck didn't you tell me?"

Indianna's eyes were locked on the phone in Greyson's hand. "He killed my dad," she whispered. "He..." Indianna wrapped her hand round her scarred wrist and Greyson frowned- realising now was not the time to be angry at Indianna. He needed to be there for her. He pocketed her phone and wrapped his arms round her, resting his chin on her head. "He killed my dad."

"Shh," Greyson whispered. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I didn't want to worry you."

"He attacked me," she whispered and buried her face in his chest.

"He's not going to hurt you ever again. I promise," Greyson said lowly.

"He's here," she said shakily. "He's been following me. How else is he going to know where I am and what I'm doing?"

"Why didn't you tell me?" Greyson muttered and shook his head. "You should've told me, sugar."

"I don't know why at first," Indianna admitted. "But then he threatened you."

"Your safety becomes before mine," Greyson said sternly, resting his hands on Indianna's shoulders and looking her in the eyes. "Always."

Indianna nodded and looked around the canteen. Everyone seemed oblivious to what was going on. It would be impossible to figure out who was watching them.

"Greyson, what's wrong?" Brooke asked, walking up to the two of them.

"Rogue," Greyson muttered. "Brooklyn, you need to stay near Harry, okay? Rogue is dangerous and you're vulnerable."

Brooke pursed her lips, not liking being referred to as vulnerable, but Greyson was right. She was human whereas Rogue was a dangerous werewolf. "Do they know?"

"They're about to find out," Greyson said. "I just mind linked the guys to join us."

"What's up, dudes?" Kal asked, slinging his arm round Brooke's shoulder as him and the others joined Indianna, Brooke and Greyson.

"Rogue," Greyson said bitterly as Harry barged Kal away from Brooke and held onto her protectively from behind. Greyson's eyes flickered around the canteen before he nodded to the doors and everyone walked out of the canteen and into the empty hallway. "Rogue is here."

"I thought he left after you saw him that night," Ace frowned.

"We thought wrong. We were stupid to assume he would just leave. He's been texting Indianna and he knows what we're doing and saying," Greyson said, tightening his hold on Indianna's hand.

"Texting?" Ace repeated. "When did he start?"

"A few weeks ago," Indianna said quietly.

"Why didn't-"

"The details do not matter right now," Greyson cut Ace off. "What does matter is that Rogue is able to see and hear us. We need to find out who is doing his dirty work and spying on Indianna."

"You think someone else could be watching us?" Indianna wondered.

"I think someone else could be his eyes and ears," Greyson nodded. "Rogue isn't stupid. He wouldn't get too close to us. He definitely would not come to the school. We would be able to detect him in an instant. He's being sneaky... Smart. We need to be smarter."

"Dude, you said the creep has been texting her; track the phone," Kal said. "Have you not seen any spy movies? Always track the phone."

"Kal, this is serious," Ace muttered, elbowing Kal in the ribs.

Indianna looked out of the window as Greyson's car drove deeper and deeper into the woods. Dark figures whizzed in between the trees with incredible speed and Indianna gasped

"Don't worry," Greyson said, not taking his eyes of the road. "They're just pack members."

"They're wolves?" She whispered.

"Yes."

"They're huge!"

"They're border patrols, they can't exactly be tiny, what use will they be defending the pack from rogues?"

Indianna shrugged her shoulders. "How big are you when you're a wolf?"

"Big."

"Thanks, Greyson, that helps," Indianna said sarcastically.

"I'll show you later," he said and the trees soon thinned out to reveal Greyson's large house.

"Do all of the pack live here?" Indianna wondered.

"Not everyone. Most families stay in town, it's mostly teenagers who stay here. However, everyone comes to the pack house even if they don't live here, it's a communal area."

Indianna nodded and Greyson parked the car. "What about my things?"

"Someone will bring them over later," Greyson shrugged and opened the car door. He climbed out and walked round to Indianna's door, holding it open for her. "Come on, sugar, we haven't got all day," he chuckled and Indianna made sure to slowly exit the car. Greyson sighed and shook his head, shutting the door once Indianna was out of the car. "We need to go see Doc."
