The coronation erupted into chaos before it even began.

“This is blasphemy!” Elder Thornwick’s voice cracked across the sacred grove as he stormed through the circle of assembled wolves. “A triple coronation? It’s again every sacred law!”

“Then change the laws,” I said, standing bare-chested in the center of the ceremonial circle, the three bond marks blazing silver across my skin. “Because this is happening whether you approve or not.”

“The council will never—”

“The council already voted!” Alpha Stormclaw stepped forward from the crowd, his weathered face grim with determination. “Seven territories in favor, three against. The Triple Crown is sanctioned.”

“Sanctioned by fear!” another Elder shouted. “By desperation! Not by divine will!”

“Then let the goddess speak for herself,” Lilith said, moving to my right side with fluid grace. The moment she took her position, every crystal in the grove began to sing with harmonic resonance.

“Parlor tricks!” Elder Thornwick spat.

“Are they?” Astrid stepped to my left, her hand dropping to her sword hilt. “Because it looks to me like the goddess is answering pretty clearly.”

“You dare threaten a holy man?”

“I dare protect my mate,” she snarled. “From anyone who threatens him. Even holy men with unholy attitudes.”

The crowd stirred restlessly, wolves choosing sides as the confrontation escalated. I could feel the tension building toward violence.

“Enough.” Nyx’s voice cut through the chaos like a blade through silk as she moved to stand behind me. “We didn’t come here to debate theology. We came here to claim what’s ours.”

“And what exactly is yours?” Elder Thornwick demanded.

“The future,” I said, letting my voice carry to every corner of the grove. “A future where territories stand united instead of divided. Where strength comes from alliance instead of isolation.”

“Pretty words from a man who collects women like trophies!”

The insult hung in the air like a blade waiting to fall. Around the circle, hands moved to weapons as my three mates bristled with fury.

“Choose your next words carefully,” Nyx said, her voice carrying the promise of storms. “Because they may be your last.”

“Is that a threat?”

“It’s a promise,” Astrid said, her sword clearing its sheath with a sound like singing steel. “Keep talking and find out what happens.”

“VIOLENCE IN THE SACRED GROVE!” Thornwick shrieked. “SEE HOW THEY PROFANE—”

“The only profanity here,” Lilith interrupted, her silver light blazing brighter, “is your refusal to accept what the goddess has clearly blessed.”

“The goddess blesses PURITY! Not this… this ABOMINATION!”

“Then explain this.” I spread my arms wide, letting the three bond marks blaze in the moonlight. “Explain why the sacred bonds formed if they’re not blessed. Explain why the territories united if it’s not divine will.”

“Coincidence! Political manipulation! Lies dressed up as—”

He never finished the sentence. The moon exploded with silver fire, bathing the entire grove in light so bright that half the assembled wolves fell to their knees.

When the radiance faded, the three bond marks on my chest had transformed—no longer simple scars, but intricate patterns that pulsed with their own inner light.

“Still think it's a coincidence?” I asked quietly.

Elder Thornwick stared at me, his face pale with shock and something that might have been fear.

“The Goddess has spoken,” Alpha Moonwhisper said, stepping forward from the crowd. “Who are we to argue with divine will?”

“Who indeed,” agreed Alpha Ironclaw, moving to stand beside him.

One by one, the territorial leaders stepped forward to join them. Soon, only Elder Thornwick and his few remaining supporters stood apart from the growing circle of acceptance.

“This isn’t over,” Thornwick said, but his voice lacked conviction.

“Yes,” I said, reaching out to take my three mates’ hands. “It is.”

The remaining Elders melted away into the crowd, their protests dying in their throats. The grove fell silent except for the soft whisper of falling snow.

“Well,” Astrid said, her sword sliding back into its sheath. “That was dramatic.”

“Everything with us is dramatic,” Nyx observed.

“I like it a bit dramatic,” Lilith said with a smile that made the crystals sing again.

“Then you’ll love what comes next,” I said, pulling all three of them closer.

The remaining wolves began to howl—not in protest, but in celebration. The sound rolled across the grove and beyond, carrying news of the Triple Crown to every corner of the territories.

“Ready?” I asked my three queens.

“Ready,” they said in unison.

And together, we stepped into the future we’d fought so hard to claim.

“I was never meant for just one. I was meant for all of you.”
