Our Three-Way Marriage

Chapter 24

Ch. 24 / 30 Apr 13, 2026

Grace’s POV

The motel materializes out of nowhere on Route 49, its flickering neon sign promising vacancy and color TV like those are still selling points in this century.

Cole pulls into the parking lot without explanation, tires crunching over broken asphalt, and I don't ask why he couldn't drive the last twenty minutes home, why he needs this now, here, in a place that probably rents rooms by the hour.

I don't ask because I feel it too—this desperate need for something that belongs only to us, away from the house where Ryan waits, away from the carefully structured arrangement that's slowly suffocating us both.

"Room for two?" The desk clerk doesn't look up from his phone, sliding a key across the stained counter after Cole throws down cash.

We barely make it through the door before Cole's hands are under my dress, fingers desperate against my skin like he's trying to memorize me through touch alone.

I fumble with his belt, frustrated by the simple mechanism because my hands won't stop shaking, because this feels different from every other time we've been together.

"Why here?" I finally ask as his lips find my neck. "Why now?"

"Because I couldn't pretend for another second," he says against my throat, and the rawness in his voice makes my knees weak.

"Couldn't go back to that house and share you tonight. Couldn't watch Ryan touch you or kiss you goodnight. Not tonight. I need you to be just mine, even if it's only for an hour in this shitty motel."

Our clothes scatter across carpet that's stained with things I don't want to think about.

My sundress pools near the door, his shirt lands on a chair that's seen better decades, our underwear gets lost somewhere in the frantic need to eliminate every barrier between us.

He lifts me against the door, my back hitting the cheap wood with a thud that probably echoes through paper-thin walls, my legs wrapping around his waist as he positions himself.

"Grace, God, Grace…" The words come out like prayer, like confession, like he's trying to say something bigger than my name.

When he pushes inside, we both groan at the contact, at the familiar perfection of how we fit together. But this isn't our usual hungry fucking, the desperate claiming we've perfected over months of stolen moments.

Something deeper pulses between us—every thrust deliberate and meaningful, every touch carrying weight beyond physical need.

His eyes never leave mine, and there's something vulnerable in them I've never seen before, like he's stripped himself of more than clothes.

"Look at me," he demands when my eyes flutter closed from the intensity. "I need you to see me, not the Cole everyone thinks I am but who I am with you."

"I see you," I gasp, nails digging into his shoulders as he drives deeper. "I've always seen you."

"No," he says, slowing his movements to something almost torturous.

"You see the player, the best friend, the guy who helps out. But that's not who I am anymore. You changed me, Grace. This baby, this arrangement, you—you've completely destroyed who I used to be."

"Is that bad?"

"It's terrifying." He presses his forehead to mine, still moving inside me with that devastating slowness. "Because I don't know who I am now except yours. Completely, pathetically, irrevocably yours."

The confession hangs between us for a moment before he carries me to the bed, laying me back on sheets that smell like industrial bleach and broken dreams.

He spreads me wide, taking a moment to just look at me like I'm something precious, something worth memorizing.

"You're carrying my child," he says with wonder, his hand pressing gently against my still-flat stomach. "My baby is growing inside you. Do you have any idea what that does to me?"

"Tell me," I breathe, pulling him down for a kiss. "Show me."

He enters me again, slower this time, deeper, his eyes burning into mine with an intensity that makes my chest ache.

This is different from every time before—not just bodies meeting but souls trying to merge, trying to become something inseparable despite the impossibility of our situation.

"I love you," he gasps against my mouth, the words tumbling out between thrusts like he can't hold them back anymore. "Fuck, I love you so much it's killing me."

I freeze completely, my eyes flying wide as the words penetrate my brain.

Cole immediately tenses above me, fear flashing across his face as he realizes what he's said, that he's crossed the one line we never verbalized but both understood.

"Grace, I didn't mean… I shouldn't have—"

But I'm already dragging him down for a desperate kiss, my nails raking down his back hard enough to leave marks that will last for days.

"Prove it," I demand against his lips. "Show me you mean it. Don't just say it—fuck me like you love me, like I'm the only woman you'll ever want."

"Jesus Christ, Grace," he groans, and then he's driving into me with devastating intensity, but it's still not just fucking. It's worship and desperation and love all tangled together.

His lips find my neck, my breasts, whispering my name between kisses like a confession he's been holding back for months.

"You're everything," he says. "You're the first thing I think about when I wake up, the last thing before I sleep. When you're not in the room, I can't breathe properly.”

His voice breaks as he continues. “When Ryan touches you, I want to tear the world apart. This baby, our baby, it's the only good thing I've ever done."

I arch beneath him, taking everything he gives me, meeting his thrusts with equal desperation. This man who was supposed to be temporary, who was meant to fill a gap in my marriage, has become essential to my existence.

He hasn't just satisfied the sexual needs Ryan couldn't meet—he's filled spaces in my heart I didn't even know were empty, shown me parts of myself I'd forgotten existed.

"Cole," I moan, feeling my climax building with an intensity that threatens to shatter me. "Cole, please, I need—"

"I know what you need," he says, his hand finding that perfect spot, his angle changing just enough. "I always know what you need. Let go for me, baby. Let me see you fall apart knowing that I love you."

Those words push me over the edge. I climax with his name on my lips, my body contracting around him in waves that seem endless.

He follows immediately, buried deep as he empties himself inside me with a groan that sounds like surrender, like victory, like defeat all at once.

After, we lie collapsed and panting on sheets that have seen too much, our bodies still intertwined like we can't bear to separate even now.

The motel room is silent except for our breathing and the hum of an ancient air conditioner. In the darkness, I find his hand, our fingers intertwining—sweaty, trembling, but holding on like our lives depend on it.

"I think I love you too," I whisper into the darkness, the words easier to say when I can't see his face, when the consequences feel less immediate.

The words hang between us, beautiful and terrifying, changing everything and nothing all at once.
