(3rd Person P.O.V)
Erika stood outside Victor's mind, unsure of how to proceed. She had never attempted to enter someone's mind before and was nervous about what she might find. But she knew that the information she was seeking was vital to the safety and survival of her people, and she was determined to do whatever it took to gather it.
Erika stepped into Victor's mind with a sense of determination. She had a mission to accomplish: learn as much as possible about Victor's plans for his army, the people he had kidnapped, the dead bodies he had stolen from the grave, and the power and abilities he had stolen.
"Now, how should we do this?" Erika asks Mika.
"I think it would be best to start with his most recent thoughts and memories and work our way backward, like going from Z to A."
"Like starting with the most recent memories and working backward towards older memories?" Erika asks.
"Yes," Mika said, and Erika followed her guidance.
As she explored Victor's memories, Erika was struck by his thoughts' cold, calculating nature. She saw him experimenting on his subjects, subjecting them to cruel and inhumane treatments as he searched for ways to steal their power and enhance it.
Despite her dislike, Erika knew that she had to keep going. She delved deeper into Victor's mind, searching for any hint of his plans or motivations while trying to connect telepathically with Arthur, Vanessa's father.
"Hey, Uncle Arthur, Can you hear me?" Erika asks him, using telepathy.
"Yes, my queen. What can I do for you?"
"I am sorry to disturb you like this, but I know this is urgent. I will explain things in detail later. Right now, I need your help to note down the information I am gathering inside Victor's mind."
Arthur was surprised and curious when he discovered that Erika had gotten inside Victor's mind. Still, knowing the severity of their situation, he suppressed his curiosity to ask her questions. He grabbed his laptop from his desk and opened a Wordpad to type the information provided to him.
Erika first told Arthur what he did with the people he kidnapped from their territory and started walking further inside his while skipping the memories, which is not helpful to him. Erika tells Authur about the cave Victor is currently hiding in and barriers and how to break them, the information about the people he kidnapped, and where they can find the people who are still alive and dead bodies.
Erika became very ferocious, and Arthur's blood started to boil when they learned that Victor was planning to revive their dead ancestors to make them go against them and turn useless dead bodies and corpses into zombies army.
"My queen, is there any way to kill him in his sleep while you are still inside his mind?" Arthur asks while gritting his teeth and clenching his fist. He wants nothing more but to rush over there and kill him then and there, but he knows he can't do that. They still need to gather more information from him. Besides, if he did something stupid while Erika was still inside Victor's mind, there was a possibility that he would hurt her by mistake.
"I wish there were because if there were a way, I would have done it long ago," Erika said, massaging her forehead. She sighs and walks further inside Victor's memory.
As she delved deeper into Victor's mind, she began to uncover a wealth of information. She found memories of when Victor started planning his attack and the people he had kidnapped for his purposes. She saw the dead bodies he had stolen and the power and abilities of the people he had taken.
But as she continued to gather information, she noticed something strange. The connection between her and Arthur is getting weaker and weaker. She tried to focus harder, to keep the link strong, but it was no use. Suddenly, she felt that the connection was broken completely.
Erika panicked. All kinds of negative thoughts come to her mind. Was she stuck inside Victor's mind? Did Victor gets up and realize that she was inside his mind? Was she stuck inside Victor's mind? Did he up his guard so that she could not be able to walk outside his mind?
While on the other side, Victor wakes up with a headache. He can't be able to understand what wrong with him. He slept peacefully without any problem after taking Lycian blood inside his body. Then what goes wrong? Was it the reaction of his body rejecting foreign blood inside his body?
But it was different from before because when his body rejected it for the first time, he started vomiting blood and getting body pain with a high fever. There was a time when he once thought he had died for a second. Besides, his body had to get used to these changes and hardly showed any side effects. Until, he thought, and then it hit him.
Then he realizes that there is a possibility that Erika managed to get inside his mind, but before he can respond to that thought, his headache gets worse. The pain has become so much worse that he passes out due to pain. It was as if someone was tugging at his brain.
On the other hand, Erika returned inside her body, started panting heavily, and felt something wet coming out of her nose. She touched her nose and saw it was blood and blackout. When Melisha and Alex heard a colossal thud, they ran to where Erika was and saw her pass out in the room's corner.
Alex ran to her, checked her pulse, and put a finger under her nose to ensure she was alive while Melissa watched them from outside the room on the edge of breaking down in front of them.
Alex sighed in relief when he felt her pulse under his finger. Alex comforted her mother with one hand while holding Erika in another hand, telling her that she was not in danger and pas out due to overworking herself, but it would be better if they headed back home and had a proper doctor check her. Melissa nodded her head while wiping her tears, and Alex teleported themself back to the castle.
