(3rd person P.O.V)
After sending an email to Logan telling him to send the email to all the people going to come for a council meeting, that email contains orders for all the leaders to declare a lockdown in their territory and attend the council meeting that would happen after 3 to 4 days. It also includes the memo of the things that are going to be discussed by them in the conference. If they have any questions regarding the agenda of the meeting, they can ask about it, Logan or Zack.
Then she returns to the place she was meditating before, letting Mika take control of her body. It didn't take much time for her this time to become one with nature.
This time she controls her urge to delve into this feeling for a long time. She let her spirit travel with the wind while highlighting her senses to feel Victor's energy to find him. She wanders around the different forests, abandoned buildings, and caves, looking for his energy for a long time, when she suddenly feels his life energy. It was faint, almost nonexistent, but it was there. She started following it, giving Victor's life force full attention, and as she got closer to him, it got stronger.
Finally, she reached the barrier which was stopping her from getting him. She puts her hand on that barrier and tries to understand the barrier's nature and the spell's nature which Victor uses to make this barrier. After many tries and errors, she finally understood the barrier's nature. It was a bloodline ability of an elf from a noble family who had gone missing a few months ago.
*How dare he try to kidnap my people and steal their powers and ability. Does he think he can stop me from killing him if he gathers all powers from my people? Did he forget that I am the mother of all creatures? Just wait until I get my hand on you. I will crush you as painfully as possible * Erica thought as pass through the barrier. She faces some more barriers and does the same thing with them.
*Geez, how many walls does this man create to stop someone from entering the cave? Not only that, but he also put illusion magic around the cave to confuse the onlooker. No wonder my search team fails to find him. * Erika thought as she went through the last barrier.
There she saw Victor experimenting on another creature which looked like a Lycian. Erika clenched her fist while gritting her teeth to control herself from doing something stupid. If he found out she was here, she would get into trouble, and she couldn't afford it now.
Then suddenly, Victor started looking around his surroundings as if looking for someone, and I began to panic but calmed down when he saw the needle he was looking for and returned to what he was doing before. He inserts the needle inside the Lycian body and starts withdrawing blood from his body in a blood bag. When the bag becomes full, he removes the needle from the Lycian body, changes the needle, and inserts it inside his arm.
*Well, this is how he steals another person's power. I wonder what other things he did to steal another person's power and ability. I would need to destroy his research after I get rid of him. It takes some time for him to put his guard down and goes to sleep. Until then, I should look around his lab.* Erika thought and started looking around the lab.
The desk in the laboratory was cluttered with research papers and tools on the right side. In the center of the room, a variety of seemingly alive or dead creatures were suspended in blue liquid-filled vessels. Other vessels contained the creatures' body parts, such as hearts, lungs, and eyes. On the left side of the lab was a glass case containing various colored chemicals. Scattered about the floor were empty blood bags and additional research papers.
And right in the very middle of the lab was the autopsy table with a Lycian on it, and beside him was Victor sitting on a rocking chair with a blood bag in his hand.
When the blood bag becomes empty, he removes the needle from his arm and throws the empty bag away. He stretched his body, walked towards the switched board, switched off the lights, and walked towards another room, and Erika started following him.
*It was a normal-looking room for a guy something like him. Because when I guessed how his room would look like, I thought it would look just like his lab, with a closet and bed with it.* Erica thought, walking inside his room.
The room is modern and well-equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The double bed is positioned against one wall, with a soft mattress, plenty of pillows, and a comforter. There is a TV mounted on the wall opposite the bed. Near the TV is a small refrigerator where you can store drinks and snacks. The room is equipped with an air conditioner.
On the other side of the room is a study table with a laptop and papers spread around it with other stationery products and chairs. Next to the study table, there are two bean bags. In one corner of the room, there is a closet. The washroom is attached to the room, and is equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink.
I was curious to go and check his closet to check what was stored inside it, but I controlled myself, thinking that a dignified lady should not touch and look into someone's things.
*Well, a dignified lady should also not enter someone's room without permission* Mika mocks Erika, but she ignores her.
Erika heard some noise and saw Victor getting out of the washroom while drying his hair with a towel. After drying his hair for some time, he throws the towel on the chair and lies on the bed. Erika waited for some time to move and fall asleep. Just as Erika got closer to him and put her hand over his head, Victor turned and grabbed a pillow under him and fell back asleep.
Erika put her hand over her body over her racing heart to calm herself down. Once she was calmed, she waited for him to fall asleep. After making sure that he was asleep, she tried to get inside his mind and try to find his hideout's location and his plans for the future.
