*Third person's pnt. of view*
Dean stared blankly ahead, while the brunette from the previous night snuggled at his side, taken in sleep.
He hardly has any clear memory of the night before, as usual, however he quickly found himself thinking about Jade... as usual.
With a tired sigh, Dean shook his head while thinking out loud "What's the point, drowning in liquor is no help. She's still there."
"Geez I hope you're not regretting our night together." Came a sleep laced voice next to him, startling him.
Dean looked down at the brunette, his breath getting caught in his throat, his body going rigid.
"What? Cat got your tongue Dean? Or maybe you're just ashamed because you never showed up at Daphne's funeral?" Sneered the voice.
"V-Veronica?" stuttered a startled Dean.
"Flesh and blood honey, I'm back! So tell me, what have you been up to? I mean after my daughter passed away, you never text, called, or even write, and I can't help but wonder what kept you so preoccupied." Explained Veronica, with a deadly smirk that only widened at Dean's fear.
"W-what do you want?" Demanded Dean, although he stuttered.
Dean was freaking out, Veronica was Daphne's mom, and like they say, "like mother, like daughter".
He knew Veronica to be ruthless, deadly, evil, a bitch, self-centered, and the list goes on, based on everything that happened few years ago, back when Dean was in high school. Not only that, he was disgusted, he had sex with a woman that was doubled his age, not only so, she's the mother of his ex-girlfriend.
He must have been so out of it the previous night, because he could've recognized her from miles away, but instead he fell right into her trap last night.
"Well, since you asked, I want you to help me get Sarah. Kidnap her I mean. That's all you have to do." Claimed Veronica.
"Oh yeah? Nah, not happening." Said Dean, while he shook his head, getting off the bed.
"Oh come on Dean, don't be such an emotional homosapien, just get me Sarah." Exclaimed Veronica.
"Why? What are you gonna do to her?" Questioned Dean.
"That's for me to know, and for you to find out." Said Veronica.
"No can do." Dismissed Dean, as he turned to leave.
"I know where Jade is." Exclaimed Veronica, as Dean froze in his steps.
He slowly turned around, his eyes deadly as he said "where is she? What did you do to her?"
Veronica smirked, knowing she had Dean where exactly she wanted him, then she said "I don't have her, but I do know where she is, and if you help me, I'll lead you to her."
"And how do you know all of this?" Questioned Dean.
"Um, don't you remember what happened that day? When she left you?" Asked Veronica, feigning innocence, knowing exactly what buttons to push, and knowing exactly what to say to gain control of the love sick Dean.
"Don't have a clear picture." Stated Dean, although his voice was strained, due to the fact that it is mentioned that Jade left him.
"Oh, you poor soul. Okay I'll tell you. You were about to say "I do", when Jake burst through the doors, pulled out a gun, shot you, while Jade happily waltzed in his arms. No one was to call the police because it was all planned. You were supposed to be out of the picture, so Sarah and Damien could find the suitable man for Jade, and that was Jake. However, when they found out that you weren't dead, they went into hiding, they laid low, travelling from place to place. But last road trip didn't end well, because our dear Jade had a car accident, and the last update I have on her, is that she's in the hospital."
"Oh really? And I should believe you because...?" Dean said suspiciously.
"Because, you're worth nothing to me, so what's the point of wasting my breath, lying to you, when telling you the truth will only make you more miserable?" Explained Veronica bored, knowing she already had Dean wrapped around her fingers.
"Mmh." Was Dean's blunt reply.
Dean thought it over, turn in Sarah, just so he could get his hands on Jade... was it worth it?
Yes. It was totally worth it. Jade fucked his life over, and she wasn't going to get away with it that easily. He had to get his revenge.
Although he shouldn't believe Veronica at all, it is the only reasoning that makes logical sense to this whole ordeal.
He had a hard time gaining memory of the wedding after recovering from his gunshot wound. So in all, he only has snippets of what happened, but everything that Veronica said seem to make sense.
I mean why not Jake? Ever since high school Jade had the hots for him, but Dean was in the way, so why not get rid of him once and for all ?
It all makes perfect sense.
Dean looked up at a patient Veronica, as he said "I'll do it. I'll kidnap Sarah, but I'll only give her up, once you lead me to the exact location of where Jade is." Bargained Dean.
"Fine by me." Concluded Veronica.
Meanwhile in the hospital, the doctor looked frantically at the flat line on the heart monitor as he felt his own heart drop.
Fear slowly creeped up his spine, and slithered through his veins, suffocating him.
For a few seconds he couldn't breathe. He just lost a patient. He failed a life, he failed a family.
"Doctor? What do we do?" Asked a nurse who seem ready to pass out.
Do? What to do? There's something he can do? Is it possible? Can he still save her life?
Yes! Of course he can! He's a freaking doctor for Heaven's Sake.
Fear would have to step aside, the doctor breathed in, and counted to five in his head.
Five, he was only allow fear to rule over him for five seconds.
As soon as those seconds were up, the doctor gained his mental strength and bravery as he quickly yelled out an order "GET THE DEFIBRILLATOR!!!"
"Yes sir." Replied the nurse, as she scurried to fetch the defibrillator, that sat quietly against the far wall of the operation room.
Once the nurse got it charged and ready, the doctor did the countdown and said "ready, clear!" And the nurse placed the twin pads on each side of Jade's chest, as her entire body pulsed on the hospital bed.
The doctor, held his hand up, his eyes trained on the heart monitor as he said "ready, clear!" And the nurse repeated her actions, this time causing Jade's body to convulse, her limbs shaking lifeless from the shock of the defibrillator.
"Come on Jade." Muttered the doctor.
As this was taking place, Sarah was in the process of calming down a shaken Geyna, when Geyna suddenly went limp, as her eyes rolled to the back of her head.
"Jade? You're awake!" Exclaimed Geyna.
"Of course I'm awake, I told you I only needed five minutes." Explained Jade, as she smiled, her appearance seeming more rejuvenated.
"Okay well we need to go, we don't have much time. Take my hand." Urged Geyna, and as soon as Jade did so, the peaceful scenery switched to that of a chaotic operation room, where a lifeless Jade laid on a hospital bed, connected to different machines.
"You have to get back in there." Explained Geyna, pointing to Jade's body.
"And how do I do that?"
Just as Jade voiced her question, the doctor yelled "clear!" as yet another electric charge travelled throughout Jade's body, and Jade felt a tug at her ghostly form, just as a faint heartbeat resonated on the heart monitor.
"Just like that." Explained Geyna.
Jade shook her head, as she hugged Geyna and said "I'll see you later sis."
"Later." Replied Geyna.
And as if on cue, the doctor yelled one more time, hope purely evident in his voice as he said "clear."
And the nurse obediently placed the pads on Jade's chest, as the heart monitor came to life with Jade's heartbeat, and it's as if the entire operation room breathed out in relief at the constant beeping, indicating a live beating heart.
"Alright team, let's get her patched up." Declared the doctor victorious, knowing that fear didn't win him over.
Meanwhile, Sarah was silently crying besides Geyna's limp body, as Geyna suddenly gasped, and Sarah was instantly alert.
Sarah looked over at Geyna, and Geyna smiled as she said "Jade is okay."
And although Sarah wasn't sure what Geyna was on about, she felt a wave of relief wash over her, as a smile took place on her lips, and she hugged her daughter.
