*Third person's pnt. of view*
(Two days ago)
"What are you doing?" Snapped Dean, as Sarah's limp body fell over in Veronica's arm.
"Something you couldn't do. Help me get her in the van, and I'll give you the address to where Jade is." Exclaimed Veronica.
"What? Hell no! That wasn't the deal!" Explained Dean.
Veronica pulled out her gun, and aimed it at Dean as she said calmly "I don't give a flying fuck about the deal. Help me get her ass in the van, then I'll give you the address, take it or leave it."
Dean stared bewildered at what unfolded in front of his eyes, but he succumbed nevertheless, and helped Veronica with Sarah's body.
After Sarah was set in the back, Veronica pulled out a paper with the address and the name of a hospital, and she handed it over to Dean.
Just as Veronica was about to pull away, Dean grabbed her arm, cocked his head towards Sarah's body as he said "what about her? How long is she gonna be out for?"
"Long enough for me to restrain her." Was all Veronica replied, then she pulled her arm away, and got in the van, and drove away.
With Tyler's old warehouse as her destination, Veronica was ready to end Sarah once and for all.
Meanwhile, a few hours later when Damien got home, he found himself arriving to a heartbreaking scene. He found Geyna sitting on the couch crying her eyes out. When he asked what was wrong, she explained that her mom was gone. He hurried to the garage, but none of the cars have been moved, he tried her phone, and it was left on the coffee table in the living room. Damien found himself becoming confused and angrier by the minute.
When his cell phone started ringing it was an unknown number, but as much as he wanted to pick up, he didn't feel like dealing with an advertisement specialist, so instead he ignored it, and made his was to the kitchen. And that's when he saw it.
The back door's lock seems as though it was pried open, and the disorganized dishes and objects around the kitchen island shows that something went down.
He instantly picked up his phone to call the police, but then he remembered, they wouldn't really take action until the person was missing for 24 hours, and if they ended up in a dead end, he would never find Sarah... just like he never found Jade.
At the thought of his missing daughter, his cell phone rang again, and it was once again an unknown number, which he of course ignored.
After a very uneasy 24 hours, Damien contacted the police, and although they performed a "thorough" investigation, they have no sign of what happened to his wife, and Damien already knew what that meant, the police was about to give up.
The next day was the most bothersome of all, he could tell the police had given up, and the same number called his phone over a hundred times, and they've left tons of messages, so it couldn't be an ad call.
But then again... who was it?
And that's when Damien placed two and two together.
His wife suddenly goes missing, and an unknown number keeps calling? It had to be Veronica. That meddling bitch never catches a hint anyway.
Without wasting any more time, Damien quickly listened to one of the voicemails. At first he didn't want to believe what he was hearing. Someone found his daughter? Heck a doctor for that matter?
He didn't want to believe it, because this hoax has been pulled on him before, especially with the amount of money that came as a reward for the return of his daughter. So he brushed it off, and ignored calling the number.
Instead he fed his children, and tucked them in, but he couldn't help looking them in the eye, they've lost two important members in their families, and Damien found himself on the brink of insanity.
That night Damien tossed and turned in bed, and he constantly found his mind wandering back to the voicemail, so he made up his mind.
If it's one thing he learned over the years, was to hope.
So with that resolution in mind, Damien finally got some shut eye.
(Present day)
Sarah woke up with a gasp, to find herself bound to a wooden chair, with her hands tied behind the chair, causing a constant pain to resonate around her restricted joints.
She looked around at the dim lit room. It had no windows, and only a door was visible at the far end. She turned her head from side to side, trying to see what else was in the room, but her vision range could only go so far.
"Well, well, well, the queen is finally awake." Came a sickly familiar voice.
"Veronica." Voiced Sarah, in a deadly tone.
"The one and only." Smirked Veronica, as she finally made herself visible a few feet away from where Sarah sat.
"What do you want?" Demanded Sarah.
"Oh nothing, just to get rid of you once and for all." Explained Veronica casually.
"Oh yeah? I wonder how that is gonna work out for you." Now it was Sarah's turn to smirk.
"Huh, maybe you didn't notice the situation. I am free and armed, you're tied to a chair defenseless." Said Veronica, irritated. Why wasn't Sarah scared? But instead she was smirking?
"Aww, am I supposed to be scared?" Questioned Sarah teasingly, then she flashed a deadly smile before she said "trust me Veronica, I would be caught dead before I could ever be afraid of you. Plus if you weren't such a coward, you wouldn't need to tie me up, you would let me free, and we would battle this out fair and square."
"Why you little bi-"
"But then again," continued Sarah, cutting a very angry Veronica off, "why do I need to fight you? For Damien? He doesn't want you. He wants and has me. You're no longer important to him. He couldn't care less about you. You're hardly a memory to him."
"That's it!" Sounded Veronica, as she made her way towards Sarah with her gun pointed.
Just as she was within arm reach, Sarah lifted her legs, kicking Veronica in the abdomen, causing Veronica to stagger backwards.
Sarah then used her legs, and propelled her body off the ground, just to bring it back down on the chair in a harsh impact, causing the wooden material to crack, and shatter under her weight.
Sarah didn't let the pain get to her, she quickly sprang to her feet, getting rid of the rope around her wrist, and readied for a fight, just as Veronica recovered.
Veronica was filled with anger, Sarah's words cut deep. She was always wanted. So Damien had to want her.
He just had to.
"Come on Veronica. Fight me like a woman. Not a coward. Put the gun away. You want to put an end to me? Then prove it. Do it!" Urged Sarah. Ready to put an end to it.
Veronica's anger flared, who was Sarah to declare her as a coward? With the thought she threw the gun aside, and lunged her body forward, Sarah was ready, just as Veronica was about to tackle Sarah, Sarah sent her fist flying, and it connected with Veronica's nose, causing a sickening crack to sound throughout the air.
Veronica quickly retreated, with a bleeding nose. She reached out, and grabbed one of the legs from the chair, then she swung with it menacingly at Sarah.
She swung a second time, and Sarah ducked, as she grabbed herself a chair leg, just in time to block Veronica's deadly swing at her head.
Sarah quickly got to her feet, and the women circled each other.
Veronica was breathing heavily, as she stared daggers at Sarah.
With an angry growled she charged towards Sarah, with her wooden weapon raised, Sarah tried to avoid her angry approach as her feet carried her backwards, she ended up tripping on a piece from the chair and she plummeted backwards.
Veronica noticing Sarah's vulnerable state tried to take full advantage it.
Key word: tried.
Just as Veronica made her violent approach on Sarah, her legs tripped over the same debris from the chair, and Sarah propped her chair leg up, causing the tip to penetrate through Veronica's chest, and out her back, just as Veronica fell lifeless over Sarah.
Sarah laid still for a few seconds, breathing heavily.
Veronica was dead.
With the thought, Sarah mustered up her strength, and pushed the breathless pile of bones off her body, then she stood on her feet, and sauntered towards the door, and out in the open air.
She soon found herself in a familiar area, and although she received some weird stares, Sarah could care less. I mean she was bathed in blood, but that didn't phase her, in fact nothing phased her at the moment.
She wasn't fully in the right state of mind, not when she walked up the steps to her mansion, not when Geyna opened the door, nor when she stood in front of her husband dazed.
Veronica was dead, and that's all that registered in her mind.
(Meanwhile Sarah was fighting for her life/coming home dazed)
After making breakfast for the twins, Damien found himself holding his phone, and with a heavy sigh, he dialed the number making sure his hope was at a minimum, just in case he ended up disappointed.
He waited as the phone rang, each second more anxious than the last, until someone picked up saying "hello?"
Surprised that someone actually answered, Damien cleared his throat and said "hello, is this Doctor Frederick?
"Yes this is he." Answered the doctor in a professional tone.
"May I speak to my daughter? This is Damien Reaves." Explained Damien, hope now very evident in his voice.
" Yes, of course." Answered the doctor, there was a moment of silence, and Damien guessed that he was passing the phone to Jade, and it was confirmed when he heard her voice say "hello?"
"Jade?" Came Damien's voice through the phone.
"Dad?" She questioned, as Damien felt tears suddenly run down his cheeks.
"Yes baby girl it's me. How have you been? I'm sorry honey for taking so long. And for not finding you sooner. And I want you to know I'll be there soon. I love you, I miss you, and I'm sorry honey. I'm so sor-"
"Dad, stop. I know. I miss and love you too. I'll see you soon." He heard Jade say, missing the way she used to cut off his ramblings.
Damien was so overjoyed, he didn't realize that Geyna opened the front door, allowing someone into their home.
It wasn't until he looked up at the bloody hands and clothes that he realized his wife, Sarah, was standing in front of him.
And in a rushed tone he said "Okay. Be there soon baby girl" and then he hung up.
He quickly got to his feet, and embraced Sarah, just as she collapsed into tears, and all Damien could do was hold her.
*Jade's pnt. of view*
"Oh my God, I can't believe it! Did you seriously do that when you were 9?" I laughed, as I looked over at a goofy Jonah.
"Yep, I thought that the pill would help me breathe under water." Explained Jonah, as I burst into a new fit of laughter.
See after I woke up, Jonah brought me lunch, it was a bit awkward at first but then, while we were eating, Jonah's juice went down the wrong pipe causing him to choke and cough, and I couldn't help but laugh.
At first he froze, and I felt bad for laughing, but then he started laughing too, and soon we started talking, and we've warmed up to each other.
We were currently talking about stupid stunts that we pulled when we were kids, and Jonah was sitting next to me, when I heard footsteps abruptly stop at me door, and a very familiar voice said "well, isn't this a f*****g cozy picture."
And my world stopped.
He found me.
