His Dark Obsession

chapter 12 My Rage

Ch. 12 / 161 Apr 02, 2026

Zedkiel

I see red. The urge to rip the girl who attacked what belongs to me bleeds through me, and I attack. Another vicious snarl rips through the halls as I grab her violently and throw her across the hall. She hits the far wall with a satisfying crunch and cries out as Odette screams, but I don’t care. They deserve more.

I look at my little omega, who is hugging herself, trying to shield her exposed breasts, which I wouldn't mind admiring all night and day. Her clothes are ruthlessly torn, which only makes my blood boil further. I yank my shirt off, throwing it at her before I turn to the slumped figure against the far wall.

Only I should be the one to see her body.

"P-please, Zedkiel," Odette whimpers, foolishly daring to step in my way.

She stinks of fear, like always. Does she really think I won’t hurt her just because she is mated to my brother?

How stupid. My eyes flash as I grab her by the neck. "She insulted what is mine, which means she insulted me. I'd step aside if I were you," I warn, easing my hold enough to give her the chance to move.

I know she has probably already linked Alcazer, but I don’t really give a fuck. She slowly pulls out of my hold, but instead of obeying me, she continues to block the path to her bleeding sister.

"Please let her go, she didn't know! Celia was only trying to-"

"Someone is going to die today, Odette. Step aside, or I won't care who it is," I hiss.

"I-it's okay, please l-let her go."

I clench my jaw when my own omega begins siding with those who had insulted her. Her voice is soft, yet it does nothing to calm the burning inferno within me. The smell of blood is getting to me, and the urge to reap vengeance is taking control.

"Stay quiet," I growl, my eyes blazing when I look at her. She flinches, her eyes full of dread as she backs away, which only angers me more.

I turn my anger back on Alcazer's bitch of a mate, feeling my control spiralling. She is shaking in fear as she glances down the hall.

"You were foolish not to obey me," I say quietly, my patience thin.

The sound of running footsteps approaches, and I grab her by her hair.

"Were you trying to buy time?" I whisper coldly into her ear. She whimpers in fear, her entire body shuddering. "How foolish." With those words leaving my lips, I plunge my free hand into her chest, my claws coming out.

Several screams and a growl fill the air as I rip her heart out. The smell of blood fills the air as it splashes across me and the walls around me. Smirking, I let her dead body fall to the floor.

"No!" Alcazer shouts in horror as he runs over, falling to his knees by his dead mate. He lifts her into his arms, his face ashen. "Odette! Fuck!"

The bitch who had hurt my woman is staring at the dead woman, tears streaming down her cheeks as she clamps her hands over her mouth. I would have much preferred it to be her dead body on the floor. I had heard the end of her conversation. Even with Odette dead I am no less angry than before I killed her.

"Zedkiel!" Dad's murderous roar of anger comes.

I see my little omega back away, her entire body shaking with fear. She is probably far more scared of me now than she was before. I look at the blood seeping out of the body below me, tossing her heart at the bitch who now struggles to her feet and stumbles over to Dad, limping.

She gasps with pain before breaking into tears. "Su-supreme Alpha, my sister…" she sobs, only adding to my rage.

"What have you done, Zedkiel?" he growls at me, his face pale. Fear and anger are visible on his face, before he turns to stare at the dead woman on the floor.

My eyes flicker to the woman now cowering behind him. "Ask the bitch next to you. If she hadn't disrespected me, this wouldn't have happened," I snarl, turning away and roughly grabbing my omega's arm. She whimpers but doesn’t struggle as I hold her in my crushing grip.

Smart of her not to piss me off even further.

"You killed your brother's mate, Zedkiel! You can't just walk off!" he hisses.

Snarling, I turn back to him. "I swear, if I stay here for another minute, I will rip you all to shreds," I growl. "She was a chosen mate. It's no big deal! He can just take another."

"All this over what, Zedkiel?" Dad asks, his gaze flickering to the omega.

I snarl in warning, shoving her behind me, not wanting them to look at her. Just then, Chasyn and Ragnar reach us. "Watch it, old man." I threaten.

"Zedkiel," Chasyn murmurs, assessing the situation, his face paling when he stares at Odette.

"The omega is still alive?" Ragnar murmurs, more interested in the woman behind me than the dead one on the floor.

"Mind your fucking business," I hiss before turning, dragging my terrified Little Mouse with me as Alcazer utters an anguished cry.

I don’t care. She deserved it. As for the bitch behind it all, I can hear her sobbing and acting as if she had done nothing wrong. I won’t waste my time trying to prove her wrong. No one will believe me anyway.

We reach my room, and I toss the omega onto the bed. My anger isn’t gone, and I rip my shirt off her, not caring for the tears streaming down her cheeks or how she is shaking with fear as I stare at her torn top. There is a bruise forming on her cheek, and I can see the scratches along her neck and arm, where it seems like the bitch had grabbed her clothes and torn them.

How dare she?"Please," she whimpers, covering her chest as she clambers away from me. Her fear and disgust are beginning to irk me.

"Who is she?" I growl, my heart beating violently.

I can feel my father trying to mind-link me, but I keep my walls up, not wanting to deal with shit right now.

"She's so-someone from school… She… I-I promise I didn't do anything," she whispers.

"How long has she been treating you like this?" I snarl, making her jump.

"F-for as far back as I-I can remember."

And it just carried on, but I know the bitch is the daughter of an alpha, that would hold far more power than a mere omega.

I look into her tear-filled eyes. The urge to pull her into my arms and claim her consumes me and I know I need to leave. So, I don’t reply, simply glaring at her and mind-linking Antonio to retrieve more clothes for her from the Head Omega.

Fools. Why the fuck didn't she have any extras?"You are not to leave this room until you are marked as claimed. I'm warning you, Little Mouse, dare defy me, and you will die next," I hiss, before turning and leaving the room. I slam the door behind me and lock it before I shift, snarling as I run down the hall and jump out of the nearest window.
