Hiding His Alpha Twins

Chapter Twenty-Nine Tara

Ch. 30 / 56 Dec 06, 2025

Alex’s POV

“State your name.” I repeated feeling slightly irritated since I had a lot of things to do before whisking Catarina and the twins away from here.

This was just a distraction that I did not need.

“Well, answer me.” I demanded. The girl looked exhausted, and I felt a flicker of guilt wash over me.

Was there something wrong with her? Why had she come to my kingdom? I had never seen her before in my life.

I couldn't help but feel slightly frustrated as the girl continued to remain silent, her tired eyes filled with a hint of desperation. I had important matters to attend to, and her presence seemed like an unnecessary interruption. However, as I observed her weary appearance, a pang of guilt overshadowed my irritation.

Taking a deep breath, I softened my tone, realizing that there might be more to her arrival than what met the eye. "I apologize if I came across as impatient," I said, attempting to convey a sense of empathy. "It's just that I have a lot on my plate at the moment. Can you please tell me your name and what brings you here?"

“My name it’s.” she started to say but suddenly she fell to the ground, her eyes closed.

I rushed to pick her up, she was unconscious, but I felt a faint pulse.

My initial irritation and concern for my own agenda dissipated, replaced by a surge of worry for the girl's well-being. Balancing her delicate frame in my arms, I called out to my men, urgency lacing my words.

"We need to get her to the hospital. She needs help right now!" I commanded, the worry evident in my voice. Without hesitation, my trusted men sprang into action, moving swiftly to ensure her immediate medical assistance.

Rushing through the corridors of the castle, my heart pounded with a mixture of concern and guilt. How had I not noticed her deteriorating state sooner? The flicker of guilt I had initially felt grew into gnawing remorse. It became apparent that there was something gravely wrong with this girl, something that extended beyond mere exhaustion.

With each passing second, the weight of responsibility settled heavily upon my shoulders. I should have been more attentive, more perceptive as a leader.

I needed to know how she knew Lochlan, who she was. However, I knew that I would not be getting those answers while she was out cold.

“Catarina, what are you doing here?” I exclaimed as she burst through the doors.

“Alex, I’ve been so worried about you, where have you been?” She rushed to me and threw her arms around me.

“Cat, my darling, please let me explain.”

“What’s going on?” Catarina hesitated, her eyes darting between me and the unconscious girl on the bed.

The look of shock and horror on her face sent a chill down my spine.

“What’s she doing here?” She growled and I knew Matilda was fighting to come forward.

“Cat, how do you know this female?” I grabbed her hand and tried to calm her down. She looked as if she were about to blow her top.

“It’s Tara...!”
