Sisca's heart sank.
Had the police been called?
Did that mean the police were already on their way to her house?
She had been so careful about kidnapping Eleanor, how did she get caught?
It seemed that she couldn't bluff her way out of this anymore!
Now, she could only gamble and beg Dominic.
Tears welled up in Sisca's eyes as she looked to Dominic for help.
"Dom, how could Miss La Rosa scare my dad? My dad is an honest and upright person. Miss La Rosa's daughter's disappearance really has nothing to do with us. Please help me."
Dominic glanced at the fragile woman in front of him and walked towards Alessia.
Alessia lifted her head coldly, waiting for Dominic's next move. Her daughter had not been found yet. Was this man going to favor Sisca, as she had feared in the car?
Dominic understood Alessia's subtle expression and a hint of anger appeared on his impassive face. Was his credibility in Alessia's eyes so low?
Although he didn't care, it still made him feel uncomfortable.
With a cold expression, Dominic's gaze passed over Mr. Fraser and fell on the hall inside the house. "Let's go in first and search separately."
Alessia's chest felt like it had been hit by something. She looked up unexpectedly at Dominic's tense handsome face.
She had misunderstood Dominic.
"Sorry!" Alessia pursed her lips, willing to admit when she was wrong, and took a few steps forward.
"You can't come in!" Mr. Fraser had been moved by Alessia's words earlier, but when his gaze fell on Mrs. Fraser and Sisca, he became firm again. Because he was used to listening to his wife when something happened, and then to his daughter, even if he knew it was wrong.
Dominic's eyes darkened. Facing Mr. Fraser's obstruction, he didn't waste any words and simply used his hands to effortlessly pin Mr. Fraser against the door.
Taking advantage of the opening, Alessia had already entered the house.
"Mom!" Sisca shouted. They couldn't let them find the girl. If they did, there would be no turning back between her and Dominic.
Seeing Mr. Fraser easily restrained, Mrs. Fraser, who was somewhat frightened, suddenly woke up. She followed Alessia into the house, wanting to stop her.
However, Dominic stopped her outside.
The man exuded a cold aura, and from his appearance, if Mrs. Fraser were not a woman, he would definitely have acted.
Dominic easily subdued two people on his own.
Sisca felt despair. She heard the sound of police sirens coming from afar.
She didn't know how she had ended up like this.
With everything exposed, all she felt now was fear.
She didn't want to marry Dominic anymore. The only thing left was the fear of going to jail.
"Sisca, you stubborn girl, what are you standing there for? Come over and help!" But Mrs. Fraser was used to being overbearing and still couldn't see the truth. Struggling to push Dominic away and enter the house, she turned her head to call for Sisca's help.
With Mrs. Fraser's call, Sisca's eyes, full of resentment, fell on her.
This look of hatred pierced Mrs. Fraser's heart. She scolded, "You stubborn girl, why are you staring at me like that? Come over here quickly."
Sisca did come over, but not to help. She stood in front of Dominic, tears falling as she pleaded. "Dom, I was wrong. I was just acting on impulse. Can you let the police go?"
"Sisca, what nonsense are you talking about? What do you mean you were wrong? Even if you were wrong, it was this man who played with your feelings first." Mrs. Fraser was furious; she grabbed Sisca roughly.
Sisca let Mrs. Fraser pull her along, but she continued, "Dom, considering I've liked you for so many years, can you forgive me this once? I did this because I love you too much, that's why I felt jealous."
Dominic remained indifferent. Sisca heard the distant sound of sirens getting closer, and the police surrounded the entire yard.
At the same time, Alessia also found Eleanor and walked out with her in her arms.
Now, there was no turning back!
Sisca gritted her teeth and suddenly knelt in front of Dominic, tightly holding onto his clothes, "Dom, I beg you."
"Dominic!" Sisca no longer pleaded, but spoke boldly, questioning, "Do you remember my brother?"
Dominic's gaze suddenly halted at Sisca's words.
Seeing Dominic's expression finally change, Sisca breathed a sigh of relief.
She stopped kneeling and stood up to continue questioning. "Do you remember how my brother died? Do you remember what you promised my brother? Now, are you going to send your lifesaver's sister to jail?"
Dominic's throat moved, and every expression on his face seemed to play back in slow motion. He slowly turned to face Sisca, looking at her. "So, you already knew that your brother died because he saved me?"
"Exactly," Sisca admitted frankly.
"So, after you went to college, did you deliberately appear in front of me?" Dominic's voice was darkened.
For a moment, Sisca felt guilty, but then she hardened her resolve, recounting her grievances in her heart.
"When my brother died, it was only reported as an accident, and our family didn't suspect anything. But after my brother's death, our family suddenly had good fortune. Not only was I sponsored to go to school, but my dad also won the lottery and paid off his gambling debts. So, I became suspicious."
"After spending some time, I found out that you sponsored me because my brother saved you. You are such a hypocrite. You wanted to repay my brother's kindness, but you didn't dare to show yourself, fearing that our family would demand something from you. So, I just took what I deserved!"
"What did you deserve?" Dominic sneered. "Who told you that?"
As he approached Sisca with his tall figure, she kept retreating, unaware of the ground beneath her feet and stumbled.
Even when she fell, Dominic showed no intention of letting her go.
At this moment, his expression was truly cold, giving a freezing sensation to those nearby. He settled his accounts. "Yes, your brother saved me all those years ago, but he didn't die because he saved me. Over the years, I've taken care of your family, and that debt of gratitude has long been repaid. Are you still trying to blackmail me with this? If it weren't for the debt of gratitude for that stone, and if you dared to harm my daughter, I would make you regret being born."
Dominic suddenly reached out and grabbed Sisca's neck, his voice full of threat. "Sisca, you better be sensible before I change my mind. Shut your mouth, or I'll make sure you never set foot in prison!"
With that, Dominic flung Sisca to the ground forcefully.
Sisca's face turned blue-gray, and her eyes showed a dead look.
She knew that Dominic had always been grateful, but she hadn't expected that even now, when she tried to blackmail him with her brother's memory, it wouldn't work.
It was all Alessia's fault. Alessia was a witch.
Even after the divorce, why did she have to come back? Why did she have to have three children?
If only Alessia were dead!
This thought had crossed her mind countless times, and now it was swirling wildly in her head.
Alessia was standing on the steps, holding Eleanor. If she were to fall...
As this thought took shape, Sisca rose and rushed towards Alessia, heedless of the consequences.
Sisca's movement was fast, it happened in an instant.
Alessia was too close, and the chance of avoiding was almost zero.
The approaching police, including Mr. and Mrs. Fraser, were shocked to see what was about to happen.
They couldn't help but wonder: Has Sisca truly gone mad? How dare she attempt murder in front of the police?
