"Kiss, kiss, kiss!" the twins chanted happily.
"That's enough!" Angela snapped back at them, they covered their mouths and stayed quiet. Angela sighed and walked to Antonio, he stared into her eyes, those ocean eyes were drawing her to him, she felt like she was losing her breath and drowning in them. Antonio's gaze was unmovable from her lips, teasing her badly. Angela closed her eyes, fighting against all odds to kiss his lips, stood on her tiptoes and kissed him gently on the lips. Her lips brushed against his warm ones but to her surprise he didn't force it like he usually does nor take it into a deep kiss. He opened his mouth a little, and she went in, taking the lead then he stopped abruptly. She opened her eyes and found him grinning, that made her stomach a bit sick as butterflies settled in there.
"That was nice but I actually wanted a kiss on the forehead, not the lips. You are so sweet Angela, but you should know there are kids present." He smirked at her. Angela looked at the twins covering their faces, her own face flushed with embarrassment. "Well, you should have said so!" She snapped in annoyance. "Even if I did, what difference will it make? You are so in love with me you can't help it." He shrugged. Angela was holding back from cursing at him before she could say another word, he pulled her by the waist and kissed her forehead then a peck on her lips. Angela was still processing what just happened. Why is he being this gentle with the kiss? Then she remembered his acting skills. It made her feel a lot better. Award-winning actor, well not a surprise!
"Well how romantic." Courtney announced with a soft applause. She drew their attention towards her. "Who is that?" Lily asked. "She looks so beautiful." Lia added. Courtney's face lit up hearing the compliments from the twins. "Well, well I do look beautiful, don't I? You two are so adorable." She went to their bed and played with their noses talking to them in a cute little tone. The girls laughed. "I love them, they are so cute, my adorable puppies." She said, staring at them with a smile and head tilted to the side. The girls giggled again. Suddenly her phone rang, she glanced at it and quickly stood on her feet. Antonio and Angela looked curious. "I will head back, got an emergency, don't be late for the introduction dinner." She said to no one in particular. Angela felt her chest tightened at the thought of moving her present situation to an even more uncomfortable one. "Can.. I stay with them?" Angela asked slowly. "I don't think it's a good idea Angela." She said, Angela nodded slowly and forced a smile. "Bye… my cupcakes!" Courtney waved at the twins. "Bye!" The kids shouted and she left the room. Jace walked towards Angela. "You can go Angela, they are better now, I will take care of them." He said softly. Angela hesitated. "Kerry… where the hell is Kerry?" "She left with her boyfriend two days ago, we haven't seen her since then." Jace answered. Angela took a deep breath. "What am I going to do with her?" "We will be fine Angela." Liya said with a big smile. "Promise me you won't fall sick again." Angela said she took Liya's hand and gave her a soft squeeze. "I promise." The girl smiled back. She turned to her twin on the other side. "Do you promise Lia?" "I promise." Lia replied. "I love you two so much." She said and kissed them on the cheek. Antonio turned to leave. "Wait!" Liya shouted. Angela turned to her. "Not you, your husband." The girl replied bluntly. Antonio turned around with a curious expression in his eyes. "Are you gonna visit us again?" Liya asked, her eyes wet. Angela was dumbfounded. What the hell is this attachment? I wonder what he said to them to form such a bond. The twins rarely interact with their mother's boyfriend, all of them tried but failed and none are half as bad as Antonio. Are my little Angels into bad guys? Angela moved her gaze to Antonio's face. "It was fun being with you, I would love to visit again." He smiled at them. "Yes!" The girls giggled loudly. Antonio went to each of them and kissed the back of their hands. "Now, I will take my leave." The girls giggled loudly, their hands covering their little faces. Angela kept rolling her eyes at his every move. Jace noticed and shook his head trying not to laugh. "Bye babies." "Bye Angela!" Angela walked out of the room and saw Antonio waiting for her, she said no word and awkwardly walked in front of him while he followed behind. They got to the passageway, and she stopped.
"I hate to say it but I am really grateful for your help, you don't know how glad I am.. so so.."
"I didn't do it for you." Antonio cut her off and walked closer to her. Angela tried not to get mad or annoyed, she looked down. "I know but.." Her breath ceased immediately he kissed her, he rubbed his face, kissing her neck over to her ear and whispered. "If you really want to show your gratitude, then I have a surprise for you in my car."
