"Niko, take her upstairs," King commands, his voice low and firm, though I can't see him through the tears streaming down my face.
The sex we just had was the most intense experience of my life. It was a wild, overwhelming storm of pleasure that left me feeling shattered and strangely whole all at once. Now, I'm caught in a whirlwind of emotions that are too raw to understand.
Once I'm in King's bed, Niko gently combs his fingers through my hair, murmuring praises that make me feel like something special, while King wipes between my legs with care. I catch the worried look in his eyes, like he's afraid that they went too far. The tears probably make it seem that way. But they didn't hurt me. I've never felt this good-being used, letting them take what they wanted from me, filling me with so much fucking cum. I just wasn't ready for everything else to unravel along with it.
"I'm okay," I croak out, trying to sit up. But Niko shifts me gently so I'm on my side, his body pressing up against my back, keeping me grounded.
King returns from the bathroom, climbing into bed next to us. His eyes stay on mine, that same tortured expression still in his gaze. He's propped against the pillow, but he doesn't touch me. It's like he's holding back, believing that I don't need him as much as I need Niko right now.
But I need him to touch me.
"How do you feel now?" Niko asks softly.
"Good," I reply, offering a small, content smile. "That was fucking amazing. Please say we're doing it again soon."
Niko chuckles. "You enjoyed it that much?"
"I loved it," I admit, still breathless. "But my pussy's sore as hell."
"I bet it is. You let us use you like you were made for it, sweet girl." I suddenly feel his cock hardening against my ass, but he continues to just cuddle with me.
I scoot over to King, and Niko stays close, his arms wrapped around my waist. I rest my head on King's chest, and when he doesn't push me away, I let my fingers tentatively stroke his beard. He feels distant, and I don't know why, but something in me wants to pull him back in. He needs that reminder that I'm still his, just as much as I am Niko's.
"Was it as good for you as it was for me?" I whisper, still tracing the roughness of his jaw.
His lips twitch. "How could it not be? You're fucking perfect, kitten."
The way he says it, raw and honest, tightens my chest. I want to say something, but my throat closes up. Instead, I just stay there, listening to the steady thud of his heart. It's so soothing. Within minutes, I can hear Niko snoring softly behind me, his breath warm against my neck.
Damn. I guess the threesome really took a lot out of him.
"Can I ask you something...personal?" I murmur, still stroking King's beard.
He hums in response.
I tilt my head up to look at him. "How did you get that scar over your eye?"
I've never asked him before. Maybe because I barely notice it anymore, or I figured he'd never tell me. But when I first met him, the scar was still somewhat fresh. I always wondered what happened, and right now seems like a good time to ask.
He frowns. There's a long silence before he finally answers, his eyes never leave mine. "I never knew my father. I doubt my mom knew who he was either. She sold her body for money, mostly for drugs, I suppose sometimes to keep me fed. She always had random assholes in the house, a lot of them beat on her. But I was overprotective over her and fought back."
My heart squeezes tightly, but I force myself to keep my expression neutral. He's not the kind of man to want me to feel sorry for him.
"I was fifteen at the time," he continues, his voice low and steady. "One night, my mom got into a fight with her boyfriend. He took a knife and started cutting her, so I jumped in, and the fucker managed to get me. But it wasn't enough to stop me. I beat him half to death. My mom called me a fucking monster and threw me out. That's how I ended up joining the Crimson Reapers. I needed to survive, and that's exactly what Jax offered me."
Don't cry. Don't cry, I chant in my head.
I figured as much, but now I know just how much he has been through. Why he is the way he is. He's always had to be strong, even as a child. I know it's silly, but I have this overwhelming feeling to want to protect him, to show him that he can be vulnerable with me.
He chuckles, brushing his thumb across my check like he can read my mind. "You're doing a good job holding it together."
I give him a tight smile, blinking back the tears. He tilts my chin up, his thumb grazing my lip. "But seriously, I don't want your tears, kitten. Save them for when you're coming apart on my cock."
I laugh softly, the tension breaking, and I decide not to press any deeper into his past. Not tonight. He's shared enough with me.
"Can I really have both of you?" I ask after a moment.
He nods. "I realize that he can give you things I cannot. I can't take care of you and Zuri by myself."
I frown, shifting so that I can get a full look at his face. "Why do you feel that way? You've done nothing but protect us since we got here. Shit, you even put yourself on Gray's shit list for us."
His jaw tenses, but he doesn't say anything. The weight of my words seem to hang in the air between us.
"Go to sleep, kitten," he finally murmurs. "I'm sure the baby will be up soon and we'll have a shitstorm to deal with tomorrow. You'll stay here with Mason."
I furrow my brows. "What's going on?"
I quickly shut my mouth. If he didn't tell Niko, why would he tell me? Gray has always made that clear I didn't know anything about what's going on in his gang. My father did the same.
"We might have a turf war on our hands with Bones, the leader of the Iron Serpents. He's been sending spies to gather intel on our clients."
Holy shit. He's actually telling me about it.
King chuckles softly when he sees the shock on my face. "I told you kitten, I'm not going to baby you or shield you from what we do. Especially if you're going to be with me me and Niko, you need to know."
With me and Niko. That sounds...serious.
King studies my expression, a glint of amusement in his eyes. "What? Isn't that what this is? A relationship?"
I take a moment to absorb his words. The way I'm lying here, sandwiched between them, with Niko snoring gently behind me and my head resting on King's chest-it feels more than just sex. But panic tightens in my chest. I'm married. How can I be with two other men? How can this work when Gray has sworn to watch our every move? What if I still need to leave to keep them safe from him?
Then there's Zuri. How the hell will I explain to her that I'm with two men who aren't her father?
"Shh, you're thinking too much. Just sleep," King murmurs, planting a kiss on my forehead.
I nestle closer to his chest, the exhaustion finally catching up to me. The steady rhythm of his heartbeat calms me, and soon, I drift off into a deep sleep, wrapped between the two men I'm beginning to realize I might be falling helplessly in love with.
