Between Four of Us

Chapter 135

Ch. 135 / 250 Jun 22, 2025

Jade sat frozen in her seat, wishing more than anything that a hole would appear beneath her and swallow her whole. The weight of embarrassment pressed down on her, her cheeks burning crimson. Gasolina Queen, they’d called her. Gasolina Queen! And now, here she was, sitting across from the three most intimidating, infuriatingly handsome men she’d ever met, being teased about something she couldn’t even defend.

Enzo leaned back in his chair, his dark eyes gleaming with amusement as his lips curled into a smug grin. “You look like you’re about to pass out, Jade.”

Thiago snorted, barely holding back laughter. “Honestly, I thought you were about to faint when we told you why you’re here.”

“I still might,” Jade muttered under her breath, trying to regain some semblance of composure.

Milan, seated at the head of the table, was the picture of calm as always. He studied her with his sharp, icy-blue eyes, a faint smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. “Relax, Jade,” he said smoothly. “We’re not here to torment you.”

“Speak for yourself,” Thiago quipped, earning a side-eye from Milan and a chuckle from Enzo.

Jade sighed, pressing her hands to her face. “I just… I can’t believe I thought you were going to fire me.”

“To be fair, after that performance last night, we could have considered it,” Enzo teased, his voice dripping with mock-seriousness.

Thiago laughed outright. “Yeah, but instead of firing you, we figured we’d give you an official welcome.”

Jade dropped her hands, glaring at them all. “You think this is funny, don’t you?”

“Very,” Enzo replied without hesitation, his smirk widening.

“Enough,” Milan said, though the faint amusement in his tone betrayed him. “Jade, we brought you here for a reason. You start working in two days, so we wanted to give you a brief introduction and let you know what to expect.”

The sudden shift in tone snapped Jade to attention. She sat up straighter, forcing herself to focus despite the lingering embarrassment. “Right,” she said, clearing her throat. “I’m listening.”

Milan nodded approvingly. “Good. First of all, you’ll be picked up by a private driver whenever we have a flight. Punctuality is important, so don’t keep him waiting.”

“A driver?” Jade repeated, blinking in surprise. “Every time?”

“Yes,” Milan confirmed, his voice firm. “You won’t have to worry about transportation. That’s part of the package.”

“Well, that’s… fancy,” Jade mumbled, more to herself than anyone else.

“Everything about this job is fancy,” Thiago said with a wink. “Get used to it.”

Jade ignored the flutter of nerves in her chest and nodded again. “Okay. Got it. Private driver.”

“Second,” Milan continued, “all of our flights are private. You won’t be dealing with commercial airlines or random passengers. It’s exclusively us and our selected guests.”

“All private flights,” Jade echoed, her eyes widening slightly. She had heard about private jets, of course, but the idea of being on one regularly—and working there—felt surreal. “Is there a set schedule, or…?”

“The schedule varies,” Milan explained. “You’ll need to be flexible. Sometimes we’ll have meetings abroad; sometimes we’ll travel for business deals. You’ll know ahead of time, but the hours might not always be typical.”

Jade nodded slowly, absorbing everything. “I understand.”

“Now, onto appearances,” Enzo said, cutting in with a grin. “We pride ourselves on maintaining a professional image. As part of your role, you’ll have a makeup artist on call for flights.”

Jade’s eyebrows shot up. “A makeup artist?”

Thiago chuckled at her expression. “Yes, Jade. You don’t have to worry about doing your own makeup or hair. The artist will be there to make sure you’re always picture-perfect. First impressions matter.”

Jade blinked, her mind spinning. “I—I’m not really used to all this. Private flights, drivers, makeup artists…”

“It’s all part of the job,” Milan said, his tone patient but firm. “You’re part of our team now, and we expect you to adapt. That said, you’ll be compensated well for your time.”

The room fell quiet for a beat as Jade processed everything. It wasn’t just a job—it was a whole different world. One she had never imagined stepping into.

“And your uniform?” Thiago added, breaking the silence. “Claire will hand it to you later.. You’ll need to wear it for every flight.”

Jade managed a small smile, despite still feeling overwhelmed. “I guess I’ll be flying in style then.”

Enzo grinned. “You’ll look the part, that’s for sure.”

Milan gave her a steady look, his blue eyes cutting through the lighthearted banter. “We expect professionalism at all times, Jade. Last night was… an exception.”

Jade’s face turned red again. “It’ll never happen again, I swear.”

“Good,” Milan said simply, as though he had no doubt.

Jade fidgeted with her hands, finally finding the courage to ask, “So… what’s the first trip? Where are we going?”

Thiago leaned back in his chair, a playful glint in his eyes. “Paris.”

Jade’s jaw dropped. “Paris? As in France?”

“Yes,” Milan replied, his lips curling into the faintest smirk. “We leave tomorrow morning. I suggest you rest and prepare yourself.”

Paris. Tomorrow. The words echoed in her mind like a dream she hadn’t quite caught up to yet.

“Looking forward to seeing you bright and early,” Enzo added, standing up from his chair and stretching lazily. “Don’t be late.”

Milan rose to his feet as well, signaling the end of the meeting. “Claire will handle the details and send everything you need.”

Thiago gave her one last grin as he stood. “Welcome aboard, Gasolina Queen.”

Jade groaned, burying her face in her hands. “Can we please stop calling me that?”

“No promises,” Enzo said with a chuckle as they filed out of the room.

Once the door closed, Jade sat there for a moment, staring at the table in disbelief. Paris. Private flights. A uniform, a driver, and a makeup artist. How had her life changed so drastically in just a few days?

“This is insane,” she whispered to herself, but despite the chaos in her mind, she couldn’t stop the small, excited smile that tugged at her lips.

Tomorrow, Paris.
