After they returned, Tony and Ben were silent for a long time when Nelly announced that she was returning home.
Although they knew this day would come sooner or later, they felt it was too soon.
“Nelly , are you not going to stay here for a few more days?” Tony queried Nelly after much deliberation.
Nelly responded, “Yes. My grandfather will be worried if I stay any longer.” Tony pondered for a long moment. “Nelly , what about us?”
Nelly kept mum as she looked at them.
Tony continued, “Nelly , we have thought about it. Ben and I will return to Darknetz with Thalia and undergo training there.”
Nelly knew about that matter for a while, but she had put it on the back burner since she was so focused on returning home.
Now that Tony brought up this matter, she finally remembered this. Nelly queried, “Have you thought it through?”
Tony and Ben nodded fervently.
After giving it some thought, she said, “Okay, I understand.”
“Nelly , you are agreeing to this without much consideration,” Tony stated.
“I've been thinking about it and preparing for this day since I learned about your involvement with Darknetz. Since you have made up your mind, I'll respect your decisions,” Nelly replied as she studied them.
“Nelly ...” Tony 's eyes reddened. He was the most mature of the three children, but he was the first to become emotional at that moment.
Furthermore, Tony was no longer someone who kept his emotions to himself all the time. He had been attempting to express himself more effectively.
He walked over and buried his head into Nelly 's arms. “Nelly , I'm regretting this decision suddenly. I can't bear to separate from you...”
Upon hearing that, Nelly grinned. “Then, why don't you stay by my side forever? When you grow up, I'll help you find a Luna . What do you think?”
Tony raised his head and muttered begrudgingly. “Nelly , can you not ruin the atmosphere?” Nelly smiled. She raised her hand to gesture at Ben to come over.
With Tony and Ben standing in front of Nelly , she stated, “I must admit I never imagined that you two would join Darknetz at such a young age. Deep down, I wish for you guys to live normal lives. Then, I won't need to be so worried about you guys. However, I'm aware that each of you is a brilliant individual with your ambitions and views, nevertheless. So long as you act with integrity, I'll support you regardless of what you do.”
After they returned, Tony and Ben were silent for a long time when Nelly announced that she was returning home.
The two nodded, as they listened to her.
“Also, don't worry about our parting or even me. Simply put, you guys are leaving me earlier than expected. Don't worry. I will not feel bored while you guys aren't here. You don't have to worry about me because I still have to work, take care of Gramps, and go dating,” Nelly articulated each word calmly.
Nelly really had the ability to comfort others.
Although she had an ineloquent nature and had trouble expressing herself, she never stopped herself from doing so when educating her children. Her words struck a chord with them and successfully put them to ease.
Tony and Ben felt a lot better, hearing her words. Their concerns had been assuaged. “We understand, Nelly ,” Tony said.
Nelly stared at them and beamed warmly. At that moment, Donna harrumphed.
Hearing the commotion, the three of them looked in the direction of the sound and saw Donna pouting. “What's the matter?” Nelly asked.
“Nelly , you are hugging Ben and Tony because they are leaving. I'm still by your side, but you don't care about me anymore.” Donna was jealous.
Everyone laughed upon hearing that.
“Also, Tony and Ben only think about you when they are leaving. They didn't even think about me. I'm merely an extra in this family—”
Before she could finish her words, Ben walked over to her and carried her to Nelly , hugging her. “Is this enough?” Ben inquired.
“No, there's still Nelly and Tony!” Donna replied.
Therefore, Tony and Nelly extended their hands and hugged her. “Hehe!” Donna 's lips curled into an impish grin.
“Tony, Ben, don't worry. I'll take good care of Nelly ,” she said sweetly.
“You have to take care of yourself too. Tell me if anyone bullies you. I'll punish him for you!” Tony promised.
Donna pondered for a while. “Although I'm not as clever or talented as you guys, I'm not a pushover!”
Tony and Ben observed Donna 's smug demeanor. “I guess you're right. Those who cause trouble to you might meet their demise instead.”
Donna grinned. “That's true.” Tony reached out to pat her head.
The interaction between the three children was very endearing, so Nelly could not help but grin as she listened to them.
At that moment, the door suddenly opened, and Alpha Kilian entered the room.
Alpha Kilian 's expression softened as he saw them talking and laughing. He walked over. “What are you guys talking about?”
When Nelly saw it was Alpha Kilian , she instinctively glanced at Tony and Ben . They exchanged glances and communicated non-verbally.
“Did you tell your father?” Nelly asked with her gaze.
Tony was stunned for a moment before shaking his head to express he had not. Nelly narrowed her eyes as if saying, “Then, what are you going to do now?”
Following that, Tony turned to look at Ben . Ben immediately shook his head to state, “Don't look at me. I don't dare to say it!”
Tony gestured with his eyes to probe Ben , “Daddy dotes on you the most. You go and tell him.”
“You already used that excuse back in the uninhabited zone. This time, it's your turn.” Ben gestured back. I'm not going to be fooled this time.
“I-I really can't do it.” Tony was troubled. Therefore, their gazes turned to Nelly .
Nelly immediately shrugged, stating, “You guys need to deal with this yourselves.”
