Meanwhile, Nelly was sitting in the living room and waiting for something exciting to happen. Dave had just finished taking a shower and looked all fancy in his new clothes, like a prince from a fancy family.
As Dave was about to head downstairs, he spotted Nelly sitting there all graceful and elegant, like a swan. He froze for a moment before deciding to go downstairs anyway.
Just as he was about to leave the house, Nelly called out to him, "Dave!"
Dave looked at Nelly with a mysterious glint in his eyes, but he quickly asked with a smile, "Hey, what's up? Can I help you with something?"
Nelly nodded and Dave walked over to her. "Is it about Alpha Kilian?" he asked. Nelly replied with a smile, "You guessed it!"
Dave took a deep breath and said, "Alright, have a seat and let's talk about it." Nelly nodded and sat down on the couch.
"So, what do you want to know?" Dave asked, curious about what Nelly had on her mind.
Nelly decided to get straight to the point. "Did Boss hurt Alpha Kilian?" After a brief pause, Dave shook his head and said, "No."
Curious about what happened, Nelly asked, "What happened yesterday?" Dave hesitated for a moment before looking at her and saying, "Well... about that..."
But Nelly interrupted him and said, "It's alright, I don't want to force you to say anything you're not comfortable with. Just give me yes or no answers." She turned her laptop towards him, revealing a blurry video.
The video showed two figures fighting a group of men. Dave immediately recognized it as footage of him and Alpha Kilian taking down an enemy's worksite the previous day.
Nelly stayed silent, watching Dave's reaction to the video. When it ended, she closed the laptop and said, "You know what? I think I already have my answer."
Dave looked at her, surprised, and asked, "Where did you get this video?"
"Somebody saw it and uploaded it online. Even though it got taken down quickly, you can still find it through special channels," Nelly replied calmly. "But don't worry, this is the lost copy of the video."
Dave was shocked by her response, but he quickly composed himself. "Why did you ask about this if you already knew?" he asked, curious.
"I wanted to know more about Alpha Kilian's situation," Nelly replied. Dave hesitated for a moment before explaining, "Last night, Alpha Kilian and I got a call that one of DX's bases was attacked. We thought it was the Midnight Fang pack, our rivals. But after checking the surveillance footage, we found out it was actually another rival organization that DX had a grudge against. Alpha Kilian didn't take it lightly, so we went to retaliate."
Nelly questioned him further, "So you guys took over their worksite and defeated forty to fifty of their men?"
Dave frowned slightly and said, "I'm not sure about the exact number, but it wasn't that many." Nelly was left speechless by his response.
After a pause, she nodded and said, "Okay, now I understand." Dave looked at her and asked, "Aren't you mad at him?"
Nelly replied, "I would have done the same thing in his shoes. Even though I'm worried about him, I wouldn't have stopped him. We can't just sit around and do nothing when we're worried, right? We try to work with each other instead of stopping each other."
Dave stared at her, realizing why Alpha Kilian respected her so much. She was a woman of substance who didn't control him for her own selfish desires. Dave felt a bit jealous of Alpha Kilian, something he had never experienced before.
Still unsure, Dave asked, "Aren't you worried that he might be in danger?" Nelly responded, "I wouldn't be asking you all this if I wasn't. But we can't let our worries stop us from taking action, right? We support each other."
Dave nodded, understanding her perspective. "You're right. I think I understand what you mean now. Thanks for the advice."
Nelly hoped she hadn't given him the wrong advice, but Dave reassured her that she was right. He thought Alpha Kilian was lucky to have someone like her by his side.
Nelly smiled faintly and said, "You should tell him that."
Dave chuckled and said, "I will, next time I see him." Nelly nodded in response.
Before leaving, Dave asked if there was anything else she wanted to know. Nelly replied, "There is one more thing..."
