Alpha King of Ruin and Desire

Chapter 51

Ch. 51 / 150 Dec 30, 2025

The Grand Council Hall was a mausoleum of ancient power, cold and cavernous. Twelve senior Elders of the Eastern Packs sat ranged in a horseshoe, their faces stern and unforgiving. Torches cast long, judgmental shadows, leaving Amelia Thorne starkly illuminated and exposed on the polished marble floor.

She faced the acting head, Elder Solon, but her focus was on the first row of accusers: Octavia, radiating malice; Theodora, smug and watchful; Alpha Zoran, her former Ex and chief conspirator; and her own father, Lord Alaric Thorne.

Elder Solon initiated the proceedings, his voice deep and accusing. “We address grave matters of financial malfeasance and political treason brought against Amelia Thorne. The charges are not trivial: the misappropriation of charitable funds amounting to millions of Royal Crowns diverted from Pack relief programs over ten months. The penalty for such corruption is absolute.”

Solon yielded the floor to Amelia’s father. Lord Alaric Thorne rose, the picture of a heartbroken man choosing duty over blood, but his voice was unwavering steel.

“Elders, the evidence of financial fraud is, regrettably, irrefutable,” Alaric stated, casting a dramatic look of sorrow at Amelia. “Furthermore, her decision to marry Alpha Kian, King of the Nightshade Pack, is an act of ultimate political betrayal and treason against the Eastern Coalition.”

He completed his fatal duty. “I formally ask the Grand Council to strip Amelia Thorne of all titles and privileges pertaining to the Royal House. She must be declared an Outcast for corruption and discarded from the Thorne name.”

Elder Solon nodded gravely. “The floor is now open for the Council to address the accused.”

The barrage began instantly. The Elders launched into a furious condemnation.

“The documents show deliberate obfuscation! How dare you steal from the vulnerable?” Elder Amara snapped.

“This financial rot is merely a symptom of deeper treason!” added Elder Silas, his voice tight with rage. “You traded your honour for the bed of a savage King!”

Then, the true conspirators delivered their personalized blows. Alpha Zoran, her ex-fiancé, rose, leveraging their history with a superior sneer.

“You always prioritized sensation over sense, Amelia. This is why you could never be my Luna,” Zoran spat. “You lack the moral fiber for leadership, and the Nightshade King will discover that soon enough—after we have rightly put you away for good.”

Octavia leaned forward, her voice cutting through the hall like a razor. “You look like a thief dressed in ill-gotten gains, Amelia Thorne. No matter the title he gives you, you will always be what you were here: a spoiled, selfish mistake, a disgrace to the Thorne name!”

Theodora offered the final, patronizing strike, her expression a mask of pity. “I truly pity you. You clung to that northern brute for power, but his title can’t protect you from the truth of your ledgers. Remember this consequence of choosing ambition over integrity. You have shamed this lineage for the last time.”

Amelia stood still as the voices of the Elders and her accusers overlapped—a relentless, furious bark of condemnation. She let the verbal assault wash over her, enduring the overwhelming weight of their collective power until the room fell into a tense, expectant silence.

Elder Solon finally spoke, his tone heavy with the imminent sentence. “Amelia Thorne, you have heard the charges and the overwhelming evidence. Do you have anything to offer in defense, or shall we proceed with sentencing and the declaration of Outcast?”

Amelia took a deep, steadying breath and stepped forward. Her voice, though low, carried an undeniable authority.

"I have no defense for the charges of financial fraud presented," Amelia stated simply.

A wave of confused murmurs broke out, quickly followed by satisfied exclamations from those who believed she had confessed.

Amelia continued, her gaze fixed on the front row. "I admit that $5.3$ million was diverted from Pack charitable funds over the last ten months. The documents detailing the fraud are, indeed, the truth."

She paused, letting the shock settle before delivering the final, devastating blow.

"However, I was not the author of this crime, nor the beneficiary. I was the convenient scapegoat. The documents you reviewed were intentionally incomplete in detailing the perpetrators."

Elder Solon narrowed his eyes. "What are you implying? We have your name on the authorizing documents!"

Amelia ignored him. She reached into her jacket and placed a slim, encrypted data-chip onto the marble floor, where the light caught its metallic gleam.

"I have the original, unedited financial ledgers. And they will show you precisely which members of this Council, which individuals of the Royal Line, and which ambitious Alpha were the true architects and beneficiaries of the theft. The funds were funneled directly into offshore accounts belonging to those who sought to purchase political favour and orchestrate a takeover of the Eastern Coalition."

Her gaze met Alpha Zoran’s—his false composure instantly crumbling into horrified recognition. Theodora’s jaw dropped. Lord Elaric Thorne froze, his performance utterly ruined.

"I did not come here to defend myself against a charge I willingly took on to expose a far greater rot," Amelia announced, her voice rising to fill the vast hall. "I am not the traitor. I have the evidence to show that the real traitors are sitting among you, guilty of sedition and Pack-wide conspiracy."

The Hall erupted into chaos. The Elders shouted, while Zoran lunged forward in a fit of panicked rage. Amelia stood her ground, the calm eye in the political hurricane, the digital evidence glowing innocently on the floor, leaving everyone surprised and terrified.
