“Oh my gosh,” I exclaimed, grabbing my phone off the table and showing Emma. “What do I do?”
Emma’s eyes went wide, “I don’t know! Answer it?”
I grimaced, but I knew I needed to talk to him, “Fine! I’ll be right back.”
I quickly stood up and ran out of the restaurant as I answered the call, “Austin?”
“Oh, Chloe,” I could hear the relief in his voice. “I just want you to know that I understand if you decide not to stay with me, this obviously wasn’t supposed to be part of our plan. But I’d really like for you to give it a chance.”
I sucked in a deep breath, unsure of how to respond as I hadn’t come to a decision yet, “Um, honestly, I really don’t know yet.”
Neither of us said anything for a solid minute, in which during that time, I had found a bench to sit on away from all the passing people.
“Austin, listen. I want kids, but I never saw myself being a parent this young. I mean, I wanted to be established in my career,” I finally said, breaking the silence. “You’ve got to understand that I do really love you, but this is a huge loop I’ve been thrown.”
“And I love you too, Chlo, which is why I want you to take all the time you need,” he replied. “Could we maybe hang out on Saturday? Just take the chance to talk through our feelings, together.”
I sighed, “Unfortunately, I can’t. But I would like to do that. I’m just not actually in Savannah right now.”
“Oh, okay. Well when will you be back,” he questioned, sounding more like the Austin that I had been spending the last month with.
Despite the fact that we were in the middle of a serious conversation, laughter took over my body, “I- I’m sorry, this has just been a crazy week. Emma and I planned for the weekend at Disney, we got here tonight. Between all the chaos of everything, I completely forgot to mention it to you. But we’ll be home Monday morning.”
And as if things couldn’t possibly get worse, it began to rain, or really I should say pour. Which only made my laughter worse, and I was now getting weird looks. I mean picture it, you’re walking through Disney Springs and you see a girl hysterically laughing in the pouring rain.
“Uh, Chlo? Are you okay,” I could hear the concern in his voice and quickly explained that I was fine.
Per the fact that it was raining, I cut the call short and let him know I would be in touch when I got the chance before rushing back into the restaurant.
Upon making it into Emma’s view, she burst out laughing- the drink in her mouth spewing out.
She eventually calmed herself enough to speak again, “Well, you definitely seem to fit the vibe of the restaurant now!”
And upon finishing her sentence she began laughing again, in which made me begin laughing as well. We had chosen to eat at Rainforest Cafe, which is, as you can assume, a rainforest themed restaurant.
“Oh jeez, I do, don’t I? Once we order, I’m going to run over to the gift shop area and see if they’ve got at least a shirt I can get,” I laughed.
I managed to find a t-shirt and changed in the bathroom. After dinner, the rain had thankfully stopped and we walked around Disney Springs for another hour.
Eventually, we headed back to the resort and went to bed since we would be waking early.

“You almost ready,” Emma called from the bed where she was putting on her shoes.
I was finishing my mascara, which was the last of my makeup I had left to do, “Yeah, coming now!”
I put the mascara back in my bag and double checked my hair before doing a twirl out of the bathroom door.
“How do I look,” I questioned, a big smile plastered across my face.
Emma grinned, “Amazing! We have to go to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to get the sparkles in our hair!”
I giggled before grabbing my fanny pack off the bed and clipping it on. I quickly grabbed my phone and the other few things I needed to put in it.
“You have our Magic bands right,” I asked Emma, who had begun digging through her suitcase to find them.
She stood up and held them out to me, “Right here!”
I grabbed mine and put it on before ushering her out of the room.
Today, we’re going to Magic Kingdom, which just so happens to be my favorite park.
We took the shuttle from our resort to the entrance and managed to arrive just as the gates opened. We joined the end of the line, which moved much faster than Emma and I expected. Before we knew it, we had made it in and had joined what seemed to be the shortest line, Haunted Mansion.
By the end of the day, we had eaten so many snacks and ridden so many rides, some multiple times, that we turned in early and passed out.
Or at least Emma had passed out… I, on the other hand, spent the next two hours tossing and turning with my mind racing about my Austin situation. While today had been a great distraction, as I hadn’t really had time to think about it all, it also made me more anxious about it all.
Here I am, supposed to sit down and talk with Austin about the whole mess when I get back, but I’ve been too busy to really get my thoughts in order.
But if I’m being honest, it had also made me realize how much I was missing him, how much I just wanted him to hold me and tell him how I was feeling. But if I just start spewing my thoughts to him, the good and the bad, I feel that it may scare him off or make him think differently of me.
And more than anything, I know that it’s what needs to be done, regardless of the outcome. But unfortunately, my biggest concern is Blair. I had no inkling of an idea as to what she actually wanted out of Austin. Marriage, him to actually step up and be a father, just child support? But honestly, I think I was most scared to voice my opinion because I had no idea what type of affect my thoughts would have on Austin. That last thing I wanted to do was loose him, but I would never want him to loose the opportunity of being in his child’s life.
