"How's your day, my little boy?" Kean Santillan chuckled while carrying Alistair in his arms.
"Awesome. Mommy and I went to the zoo and we ate a lot of yummy foods, grandpa," the boy replied.
Miracle giggled before caressing Alistair's back. "I think my son is still tired, daddy. There are as many extra-activities done at the zoo. I'm even more tired than him, he's the one who's very naughty," he laughed.
Her father pinched her son's nose gently. "It's my grandson's fault. Don't worry. I'll buy that zoo so you can visit it anytime you want."
"Dad." He widened his eyes at the father.
"What?" I wondered about its question.
"Stop spoiling Alistair so much. Maybe that's what you're doing while I'm gone, huh?" he rebuked her.
"I just love seeing my grandson being happy, son. Give it to me. You know that he's my favorite," he replied.
"How can he not be your favorite when he's your only grandson?" he asked in surprise.
Kean let out a laugh. "Yeah. Your brother is slow."
"No way, I don't like Lianne for her!" His artistic moan was immediately followed by his son's grimace.
"I like Ate Lianna. She always gives me chocolates," he replied.
She narrowed her eyes. "When did you turn away from people who spoiled you? Hmm, Your Majesty?"
Alistair just smiled a bit. "Everyone's spoiling me so I love everyone."
"That answers my question, little kid," he laughed and then kissed her on the cheek.
"By the way, Audrey, you're already here for two weeks. Do you still have no plans to return to the company? You're too busy with your gallery, you can still handle it even if you're working with your brother," her father said.
She shook her head. "I've only been here for two weeks, dad, and then I'm immediately annoyed by the look on my brother Aundrei's face? Can I always be beaten up every time I'm working with him."
"I just want to ask you, son. Or you can handle the other company for a while. I also want to rest first so I want you to take care of it. Can you handle it even if you have a gallery?" It's a question.
She bit her lower lip. He also wants to be busy so that he can forget for a while. Whenever he does nothing, all the pain that happened the night he left Trigger comes back.
So she feels, when she pours attention on work and on the child she can forget everything.
She was about to answer when she felt a familiar feeling on her throat.
He hurriedly ran to the bathroom and vomited. He wanted to stop himself from vomiting because he was only expelling pure water but he could not stop it.
"Audrey? What happened? Are you okay?" his father asked worriedly from outside the bathroom.
Miracle looked at her reflection on the mirror as she swallowed multiple times. She's supposed to get her period last week but she didn't.
Every morning he also vomits for no apparent reason.
"No," she whispered while clenching her fists.
"No, Miracle. I can't. I can't," he whispered emphatically before touching his stomach.
She closed her eyes to feel the warmth of it. She didn't know if she was just daydreaming but she could feel her heart bouncing with joy as she felt her stomach.
She might be pregnant, that's good news. But she knows exactly who the father is, and that's the bad news.
Miracle gripped the sink tightly as she watched the pregnancy test she used.
She couldn't breathe properly because of it. Even if he denied it, it would be impossible for that to happen.
He was not mistaken. She's really pregnant, again, with Trigger.
It was only now that what the man had said that night entered her mind. He's asking her why she agreed on making a life with him even if she's planning to hurt him. Trigger knew there was a possibility she might get pregnant so it makes her wonder why she consented.
But how can he answer that if he is also confused about the reason? She gave up her body, she made love with him multiple times without complaining, with no regrets, so she is also asked if she still thought of revenge or does she still really love the man?
"Who did you fool?" he laughed, questioning himself. "Of course, you still love him, idiot."
She held the pregnancy test tightly and came out of the bathroom. She reached out to the family in the dining area who were busy talking.
fooled me so I guess I'm really carrying a child inside me. I'm carrying Trigger's child, again. "
Her father chuckled. "Even though we're all angry with your husband, I'm still happy with that news son. And he deserves to know about it, about Alistair too. When are you going to tell him?"
Her eyes darkened when she remembered how Trigger denied Alistair when he was still a fetus.
"Never. I will never introduce my children to him, dad. I can make them happy without their father," she answered.
Aundrei let out a chuckle. "Don't make the pregnant woman angry anymore. I'll just name it there, huh?"
He stared at it. "You wish. Last time you tried changing Alistair's name to Wakanda. You thought I'd be happy there? You're too addicted to marvel."
Laughter filled the dining room table because of what he said. But it was interrupted when a maid came out from nowhere.
"Ma'am Miracle, someone is looking for you outside the mansion."
She looked at the maid before smiling. "Who is it?"
"Her name is Shanelle and she needs to talk to you." Her eyes widened when she heard that name.
How did Shanelle know she was here? And did it actually fly to California to talk to him?
He knew her best friend and she wouldn't bother to travel that long for nothing. That means it has something important to say to him.
"Excuse me, mom, and dad. It's a friend of mine," he said goodbye to them before rushing out of the mansion.
She sat beside her older brother who immediately smirked at her. "Why are you pale? You miss your wife?"
Miracle rolled her eyes before putting the pregnancy test on the table. Aundrei's eyes immediately widened when he saw that.
"Holy fucking shit, you're pregnant ?!" its hysterical cry so even their parents were shocked.
"Audrey, a-son, is that true?" her mother asked tearfully.
Miracle nodded her head with her reddened cheeks. "I think so, mom. But I'll still ask Dra. Haley to confirm it. But this pregnancy test never fooled me so I guess I'm really carrying a child inside me. I'm carrying Trigger's child, again. "
Her father chuckled. "Even though we're all angry with your husband, I'm still happy with that news son. And he deserves to know about it, about Alistair too. When are you going to tell him?"
