Plaisir Interdit was exactly how I remembered it; gleaming marble and hardwood floors, extraordinary art pieces, ornately sculpted wall detailing, and glittering chandeliers hanging from coffered and vaulted ceilings. It was weirdly quiet without any parties going on, though as we stood in the foyer, we could distinctly hear someone likely getting paddled based on the thwack sound, followed by moaning and muffled voices.
I smirked and bit back my laugh as Jon turned toward the sounds and looked interested. I gave him a light nudge and he smiled sheepishly at me before we headed up one of the rounded staircases to the second floor. We left our stuff in one of the rooms, I noticed he had gotten a larger bedroom this time – one with a king bed.
“I don’t have to be naked right now, do I?” I asked while setting my toiletries on the bathroom vanity.
“Not if you don’t want to be,” he called back. “But I do have something for you to wear before we go back down.”
Excitement sparked through me and my heart started beating faster, I swept my hair to the side and started finger combing it as I tried to stop myself from jumping up and down like a child in a candy store. I heard the dull thudding of Jon’s shoes as he crossed the bedroom and stood behind me in the bathroom mirror. His hand came up to hold my chin as he kissed the corner of my mouth, his eyes never leaving mine in the reflection - thunderstorm gray to arctic blue.
His lips pressed to the shell of my ear as he spoke, “Close your eyes.”
A shiver shot up my spine as his breath tickled my ear. I closed my eyes and focused on the quiet sound of his breathing and the scent of his smoky cologne. After a moment a cold weight hung from my neck and he swept my hair back before running both hands down my arms.
“Open.”
Oh, Jon, it’s beautiful. My hand went to the diamond heart pendant instinctively, stroking it with trembling fingers. “It’s too much—”
“No,” he said with a chuckle. “Adding you to my Centurion card was too much, I think this is just enough.”
I laughed and blotted under my eyes at the rogue tears. “Do you want the credit card back?”
“Not at all,” he answered quickly. “And this has a far different meaning; I was supposed to give you bracelets to contrast the ones Patrick gave you, but I wasn’t sold on them at the time. I think, especially after this week, that now is the right time, and this suits you more.”
I could see the slight colour difference between the two pieces of jewellery; the bracelets were a less shiny more natural shade of silvery-white, while the box chain and the heart pendant itself were gleaming pearly-white. Platinum bands and a white-gold collar. I especially loved the three small pink gems accenting the heart outline.
“I love it, thank you, Jon,” I told him after a moment, struggling not to cry again. God, I was an emotional wreck.
He grinned and kissed my shoulder. “I thought the pink would match your tattoo.”
I groaned and pulled away from him, dumb college decisions had a habit of turning me off. “The first thing I’m using the AMEX for is laser removal.”
Jon laughed and tightened his grip to stop me from getting away. “It’s adorable, and every time I see it, I’m exactly where I want to be,” he said softly.
I blushed and couldn’t meet his gaze in the mirror anymore. He wasn’t usually romantic, or sweet even, but when he was I always got a bit flustered. We stayed there for a while longer, just letting his hands roam over me while I leaned back on his chest and enjoyed the closeness. I wish it could always be like this.
“Thank you for talking me into coming here,” I said finally.
“No, thank you for coming, sweetheart.” He paused and gave my ass a light smack. “Head downstairs, I’ll come find you in a minute.”
I closed the door to the bathroom behind me, he wanted to meet me downstairs and that gave me the perfect window to change into the dress that I bought just for the trip. The semi-sheer, black mini dress that barely covered my ass and was cut across the shoulders in a straight line. I slipped off my panties and bra, quickly stashed my clothes in the bag and kicked it under the bed before hurrying down to the bar.
The bar was attached to the panelled room where I had my initiation, it was done in a similar style; dark panelled walls and matching floors, dimmed crescent wall sconces, and low-hanging red lamps that gave the room a seductive glow. The bar itself was set against the far left wall with racks of fancy booze behind the counter and red leather barstools. There were three people in the room; two men at a table in the corner, and a woman at the counter, reading something on her phone. I ordered a glass of merlot and leaned against the counter, trying to save my aching feet and hide the fact that I was staring at her from the corner of my eye.
I couldn’t stop staring at her, she was enchanting; her raven hair hung in artful waves down her back with two bleached white locks framing her face, her jaw was sharp and cheekbones high with wide, full lips pulled into a thoughtful frown. I didn’t think she wasn’t pretty, not in a conventional way, but she was striking, interesting to look at and almost captivating. She had the air of a dominatrix; with the chunky, glittering stiletto booties, tight black leather pants, and slinky red camisole with a plunging neckline that perfectly showcased her massive tits.
I felt like such a creep as I gawked at the woman, but I just couldn’t stop – she looked so familiar! I had no idea where I would’ve met her, she was older, around Jon’s age, and I wondered if maybe she was also an attorney that had once worked at the firm. There were a lot of them in the Club, it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary.
“May I help you?”
Oh shit. My face burned as I realized she was talking to me, one perfectly sculpted eyebrow raised questioningly. Her eyes were a warm hazel colour, a green and amber blend that I couldn’t look away from. “No, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to stare—”
She laughed and my stomach flipped. “It’s quite alright, darling. Take a seat, why don’t you.” I did as she asked and she smiled warmly as she turned in her chair, directing her full attention to me. “Oh, that’s beautiful!” she cried, reaching out to touch my necklace.
I laughed and glanced down at her hand, noticing her extremely long burgundy lacquered nails. “Isn’t it? My boyfriend just got it for me. I’m Lydia, by the way.”
She smiled and her eyes glittered in a way that made me uneasy as I shook her hand. “Charmed to meet you, Lydia.”
Her skin was cool to the touch and I felt cornered as she stared me down. Her lips perfectly matched her nail polish – it was intimidating how put together and well-groomed she was. I didn’t have much time to focus on it before I heard Jon call my name as he strode towards us. My lips parted as I noticed he had changed into a dark-blue long-sleeve V-neck with the sleeves pushed up his forearms, and his hair messily swept back. The hot English professor. Suddenly I wished I hadn’t left my panties upstairs as I desperately clenched my thighs together.
Jon kissed my cheek and rested his hand on my lower back as he leaned against my side. His eyes locked on the woman beside me and he stilled, his hand frozen and his eyes widened fractionally. “I didn’t know you were here this weekend,” he said coldly.
She shrugged daintily and smiled. “A birdy told me that someone was headed up to Washington for the weekend, I figured I would just drop by, you know how it is.”
They know each other. That much was obvious, Jon was clearly hostile though as he stared the woman down. After a moment she sipped her glass and lounged back, carefully crossing her long legs.
“Aren’t you going to introduce me?” she asked after a minute, eyes locked on his.
He clenched his jaw and glanced down at me. This was awkward as fuck and I was just about ready to sneak away when he spoke, “Lydia, this is Christine. My ex-wife.”
I think I almost puked on the bar. I had heard Jon on the phone, telling Maritza that he was in Washington this weekend but when he got back he’d like to go for dinner with her. She didn’t know I was with him, otherwise, I doubted she would’ve told her mother. There wasn’t anywhere for me to run as the two of them looked at me expectantly and I plastered my best interview smile and tried not to portray the fact that I felt like I had just been run through with a machete.
“It’s great to meet you, Christine,” I said happily, forcing myself to sound upbeat. “Jon rarely talks about his private life, it’s so good to finally put a face to the name.”
Christine’s impeccable smile faltered for a fraction of a second and she drummed her long, claw-like nails on the table as she turned her attention to Jon. “You ‘rarely’ talk about your family?” she asked a little too sweetly.
“No,” he said haughtily. “I rarely talk about you, there’s a difference, Lydia’s just being polite.”
“Don’t throw me under the bus,” I snapped at him, narrowing my eyes as I turned in my chair. “I’m sorry, Christine, he’s been a prick lately.” Why did her name feel like acid in my mouth? Why did I feel so horribly inadequate next to this beautiful woman who hadn’t done anything to me?
She laughed again, the high-pitched trilling sound raised goosebumps on my skin, I glanced back at her warily and leaned into him for comfort. I had an uneasy feeling suddenly, and I was mostly certain that she had known who I was before I actually introduced myself.
“He’s always been a prick, sweetheart. Don’t expect him to be any different now.”
Sweetheart. I bristled and stood up at Jon’s urging, when I looked up at him I noticed the smirk tugging at his lips as he guided me away without a goodbye, I offered her a small smile in apology as we left. I waited until we were almost through the lobby and headed down to the basement before I finally said anything.
“I don’t think I want you to call me sweetheart anymore,” I told him quietly.
He leaned down and kissed the top of my head, his hand stroking up and down my arm comfortingly. “I’m sorry,” he murmured. “Old habits die hard, and all that. How do you feel about ‘dove’?”
My heart fluttered and I stopped, causing Jon to stumble into me as I turned and wrapped my arms around his neck, my fingers threading through his hair while I kissed him. His hands splayed wide across my back as if trying to hold all of me.
“Dove it is,” he said with a chuckle.
I laughed and tucked my head against his shoulder. “I love it.” I paused and pulled away, assessing him closely. “I don’t know what I pictured when I imagined your wife, but she certainly wasn’t it.”
A muscle twitched in his jaw and he slipped his hands in his pockets as he gazed curiously back at me. “She’s something else, that’s for sure. But I’ll go out on a limb and say you probably didn’t expect her to be a Madam here, Madam C. She only comes down for large events.”
“Madam?” I asked, shocked. Jon was so in control; did they share that? Or was she submissive to him? Wait—“Was she here for the auction?”
He looked away guiltily. “Yes.”
“You didn’t just disappear to visit Eloise, did you?” I demanded, sudden bitterness gripping me like a vice.
Jon rubbed the back of his neck and stared down at the floor. “No.”
“I didn’t even know you were still married at that point!” I backed away a few steps and swallowed hard. “Have you seen her since?”
“We were never exclusive, Lydia. I didn’t think it was something I needed to share—”
I cut him off, struggling to keep my voice down. “Excuse me? We have literally never used condoms, I only saw your clean report a week after we started fucking around, and you have the audacity to sit here and tell me that something that could affect my health wasn’t info you wanted to share?”
“I wasn’t the only one sleeping around,” he snapped, his eyes hardening.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” I screamed, completely losing my cool. “You met every single person I fucked! People that get tested regularly and wear condoms! That isn’t the same as fucking your wife and purposely not telling me.”
He was silent, and my lip trembled as I tried not to cry. After a moment I took a deep breath and tried again, more calmly. “You didn’t answer my question.”
“No, I haven’t seen her since the auction,” he answered softly. I wanted to believe he almost sounded apologetic. “Nothing penetrative happened at the auction either, and if it had, I would’ve used a condom. I’m not a complete asshole.”
I wasn’t quite sure I believed him, why would he have kept something like that from me otherwise? Not to mention that he didn’t exactly ask about my sexual health before telling me to bend over his desk. “That sounds so robotic,” I replied with an eye-roll. “What do you mean ‘nothing penetrative’?”
“Exactly what it sounds like; my cock never went in any orifice.” A sly smile crossed his face and he glanced away to compose himself. “It hasn’t since we decided to have a baby, if you’d like to know the truth of the matter.”
My confusion was palpable as I stared at him. He and Christine hadn’t split up until Maritza was a teenager – was their sex life dead long before then? “Wait, why not?”
“You’re my and Patrick’s submissive, you do what we tell you. If we decided tomorrow that we’d never fuck your pussy again, then that would be our choice as the dominants. That was her choice as my dominant.”
My jaw just about hit the floor, the entire hall felt like it had tilted sideways as I tried to make sense of what he just said. I never once expected Jon to have a submissive side, he didn’t even like it when I teased him about taking control.
Jealousy is a nasty mistress because my immediate thoughts went to the unfairness of him allowing her to top him but not me. I couldn’t help my pout as I whined about the injustice, “You beat my ass black and blue with a crop when I tried to pin you to the bed.”
He laughed and reached out to stroke my cheek, grinning wickedly at me all the while. “Dove, I have a strong respect for my Mistress, and if you were a dominant I would offer you the same authoritative respect, but you giggle about it and tease and generally just keep acting like a brat.” He paused to tilt my chin up and press a quick kiss to my lips. “Maybe if I didn’t like seeing you kneel in front of me or kissing my feet, then I would be happy to let you try your hand at control.”
The amusement was obvious in his voice and I flushed despite myself. “You said you taught Patrick, would you ever show me anything?”
“Anything specific?”
“The paddles and stuff,” I said quickly. “You said that takes time and patience to learn.”
“If you’re good for us tonight, then I’m sure I can take some time to teach you,” he said wryly.
Us? My heart started pounding and as he looked past me and cocked an eyebrow at someone I spun on my heel. The world stood still as I sprinted to the doorway and threw myself into Patrick’s waiting arms. He had only been gone a week, but it felt like a lifetime as I nuzzled into his light gray, double-breasted suit jacket. Home, that’s what he smelled like; like wood and earth and spice – possibly cinnamon, and I inhaled it deeply as I closed my eyes and dug my nails into his shoulders.
I listened to his heart pound and it made filled me with warmth to hear him react to my presence. “I missed you so much,” I whispered.
“I missed you too,” he mumbled into my hair. One hand rested just above my ass, the other at my shoulders, I had never felt so wanted and loved. “I forgot how good you smelled.”
I laughed and smacked his chest playfully. “Try not to sound like a murderer.”
He grinned and I gazed up at him in fascination; FaceTime and Skype could never actually portray how beautiful his eyes were. “I believe there was something you promised to tell me once I was home.”
I tried to hide my smile by focusing on his jacket as I fussed with the buttons. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“I had a long flight, kitten,” he teased, his hand coming up to cradle the back of my head. “Don’t leave me hanging now.”
He tilted my head back and I pulled away just as he leaned in to kiss me, his lips less than an inch from mine as I reached up to hold his face. “I love you, Patrick,” I told him quietly. I wasn’t overwhelmed this time, I wasn’t emotionally strung out and confused – I was saying exactly what I knew to be true, and it felt wonderful to say that to him.
“I love you, too,” he answered instantly. “I’m so sorry I hurt you, I know it’ll never make up for it, but it’s true, and I’ll never stop trying to make up for it.”
I shook my head and kissed him hard, letting my tongue massage his. I moaned shamelessly, I forgot how good he tasted. He had been into something sugary, a common occurrence that I liked to tease him about, I’d never met someone with such a strong sweet tooth. “Stop apologizing,” I gasped between hard kissed. “I don’t want to worry about it right now.”
Jon cleared his throat loudly. “Should I let you two just go at it on the hall floor?” he asked.
Patrick laughed and I blushed, I completely forgot we had an audience. I glanced over at the other man as Patrick straightened up, I refused to let him move even an inch away now that I had my arms around him. Jon smirked at me and I smiled shyly back at him. It was so different now; the physical affection, the dates, the pet names, when everything started it was all just sex, and yeah it still mostly was, but there was more now. I couldn’t go back to the way it was, I certainly couldn’t imagine what it would be like to suddenly lose one or both of them now that I had been spoiled.
“We have something set up for you,” Patrick told me suddenly, making me jump. “Just the three of us.”
I narrowed my eyes at Jon. “You lied just to get me here, didn’t you?”
He held up his hands in surrender. “Guilty as charged, but I’m sure you’ll forgive me once we have you naked and tied up.”
Oh. My pussy tightened and warmth spread through my abdomen as I glanced between the two of them. No, I really couldn’t go back to how it was before, dildos just wouldn’t cut it and I had no fucking clue how I’d even begin to find someone make me feel the way they did.
