One Year Later. En Route to the Exclusive Clinic.

Xavier's grip on the car's armrest was so tight, it looked like it might snap off. His knuckles were as white as snow, and his heart was hammering in his chest like a jackhammer. His breathing? Shallow. His mind? In full panic mode. His assistant, Kurt, looked like he'd been thrown into a storm without a life raft. The poor guy was clearly way out of his depth.

"Faster, Kurt!" Xavier barked, practically leaning into the dashboard as if that might make the car go faster. "My wife's in labor! The sooner we get there, the better!"

Kurt, flustered and way too green for this kind of chaos, glanced nervously at the road. "I-I'm going as fast as I can, sir! But the traffic's... it's insane!"

"Not fast enough!" Xavier groaned, his eyes wild with panic. "Do you understand what's happening? My wife is about to give birth! I need to be there-like right now! The universe is clearly conspiring to keep me away! Do you have any idea how that feels?!"

Kurt's eyes darted between Xavier and the road like he was in a full-on existential crisis. "I... I don't know-well, I've never... given birth... yet?"

"Yet?!" Xavier's head whipped around to glare at Kurt like he'd just announced he was from another planet. "Are you even a woman, Kurt?"

Kurt, wide-eyed, gulped. "Sorry, sir! I'll-I'll try harder! You just focus on... whatever it is you focus on when you're, uh... well, panicking like this."

Xavier sighed, rolling his eyes to the heavens, then muttered under his breath, "I'm losing my mind... She's in there, alone, and I'm stuck out here, stressing out... What if something happens? What if the baby's late? What if she's in pain? What if-what if-If anything happens, I'll hold you responsible!"

"Alright, alright!" Kurt snapped back, his nerves finally breaking. "You're making me nervous now, sir!" His voice was tense, more on edge than Xavier, if that was even possible.

"I've never seen you so-"

Before he could finish, Kurt's hands shot down to the accelerator in a panic, slamming the pedal as though his life depended on it.

The car lurched forward so fast Xavier was thrown back into his seat with a loud thud, stunned for a moment by the sudden jolt.

Oh, hell no... Xavier's mind reeled, ready to unleash a storm of curses, but before he could get a word out, Kurt cut him off.

"We're here, sir!" Kurt said, his voice a mixture of relief and sheer terror.

Xavier didn't even register the car screeching to a halt in front of the exclusive clinic. His body moved before his brain could catch up. He was out of the car and halfway to the entrance before Kurt could even blink.

As soon as he entered the hospital, a nurse with a clipboard in hand spotted him and hurried over.

"Mr. Blaze, you're here." Her voice was calm, professional, in complete contrast to the chaos Xavier had just been through. "Mrs. Blaze is in the delivery room. We've been expecting you."

Xavier nodded furiously, his heart racing like a runaway train. "Yes! Yes, I'm here! I'm here! Let me in!" He practically followed the nurse at a sprint, every nerve in his body focused on one thing: Serena.

Inside the Delivery Room...

The moment Xavier entered, Serena's eyes were wide with pain and determination. She was gripping the bed tightly, her breathing shallow as she fought through the contractions. The second she saw Xavier, she reached out for him, her hand grasping his like it was the only lifeline tethering her to the world.

"Xavier...!" she gasped, her face pale from exhaustion and the intensity of the pain. "You... you finally made it..."

"I'm here! I'm here," Xavier replied, his voice trembling as he rushed to her side, kneeling by her, panic flashing in his eyes. "I was so worried... I thought... I thought I'd never make it in time... Are you okay? Is the baby-?"

Before he could finish, Serena grabbed a handful of his hair and yanked him down with such force that he yelped in surprise.

"OW!" Xavier cried, stumbling into her arms. "Serena, what the hell?!"

"Don't ever leave me again!" she cried, her voice strained through clenched teeth as another contraction hit. She held on to him even tighter, her grip like a vice. "And stop asking dumb questions! I'm in pain-why would you think I'm okay?!"

Still half-pinned to her chest, Xavier blinked in shock. "I-I thought... I thought you wanted me here!"

"I do!" she gasped, squeezing his hand. "But right now, I need you to shut up and just... just hold on to me!"

"I'm holding on! I'm holding on, just don't pull my hair out!" He winced, adjusting his position. "I've never-never been this terrified in my life, Serena..."

Serena shot him a look that was a mix of pain and amusement as another contraction hit her like a freight train. "Then stop panicking! You're stressing me out more than the baby is!"

Xavier blinked, trying to pull himself together. "I'm... sorry. I just... I don't know what to do!" His voice softened, and he gently brushed her hair back from her forehead, his touch tender. "I'm here now. I won't leave you. I love you so much, Serena... You're doing amazing."

Serena let out a shaky breath, her grip on his hand tightening even more. "Shut the fuck up! Ahhhhh...."

She screamed in agony, her hold on his hair tightening, making him wince in pain as he screamed at the same time, "Ahhhhhh!!!"

"Shh, Mr. Blaze, please don't scream... Mrs. Blaze is about to give birth," the doctor said, his voice a calm contrast to the chaos around them.

Xavier froze at the sound of the doctor's voice, suddenly realizing what was happening. He quickly shut his mouth, not daring to even breathe as he held in the pain, his face flushing red from the effort.

Moments Later...

The cries of the baby filled the room, and for a moment, the world seemed to stand still. Xavier's breath caught in his throat as he watched Serena, exhausted but radiant, hold their child for the first time.

He blinked rapidly, unable to speak, his eyes filling with tears of overwhelming joy.

Serena, despite her exhaustion, smiled up at him. The pain of labor already beginning to fade, she whispered softly, "Xavier... meet our son."

Xavier's heart swelled with emotion as he reached down and gently touched the baby's tiny hand. "He's perfect," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "Just like you."

Serena laughed softly, her tears mixing with her joy. "I think he looks just like you."

Xavier smiled, his gaze never leaving their son. "I think he looks like both of us... a perfect combination."

"Just like our family," Serena whispered, her voice full of love. "Complete."

Xavier leaned down, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead. Then, his voice thick with gratitude, he whispered, "Thank you, Serena... thank you for giving me this gift. I know it was so hard... I'm sorry you had to go through all that pain."

He paused, his hand gently cupping her face. "I promise-no more babies. I couldn't bear to put you through that again. You've given me everything, and I'll never forget this."

Serena smiled softly, her exhaustion still evident but the love in her eyes shining through. "We'll be okay," she whispered, squeezing his hand.

"Forever, Serena," Xavier murmured, his voice full of conviction. "I'll love you and our little one forever."
