When the door of the treatment room opened from the inside, Lita walked forward and dragged Doctor arm.
"Dr. Owen, let me get in and see Ethan. I promise you that won't disturb his resting! I will be quiet without saying a word!" This time, Lita made up her mind that she had to go into the treatment room to see Ethan whatever happened.
Neither Doctor Owen nor Harry could stop her from going in to see Ethan. If they insisted on stopping her, she would...
"Dr. Owen, I am Ethan's wife. As his first guardian, I have the right to go to see my husband! If you insist on stopping me, I will my rights through legal means!"
Obviously she had determined to get into the room in any case today, so she even used the term "legal means". Nobody could stand in her way now.
Being grabbed tightly on his arm, Doctor Owen smiled gently and said, "Mrs. Selmy, Mr. Ethan asked me to call you in. He also said that he had a gift for you."
The gift he mentioned was the brocade box in Harry's hand, which contained the marriage certificate of Alex and Lita.
"Ethan is willing to see me?" Lita was excited. It seemed that her persistence had finally been paid off.

"Ethan agreed to let me in." Fearing that the hard-won opportunity would slip away, Lita explained in a hurry.
Harry was worried that the young couple who had just been intimate would quarrel again. He interjected, "Mr. Alex, Mrs. Selmy is telling the truth. Mr. Ethan told Doctor Owen that he wanted to see Mrs. Selmy. And he asked me to bring this as a gift to her."
Alex took the brocade box from Harry's hand. He opened it and checked what was inside. His handsome face became gloomy immediately.
Undoubtedly, he saw the marriage certificate in the box. But from Lita's angle, she couldn't see what was in the box. What she could only see Alex's face turn more gloomy.
"She doesn't deserve this gift!" With a heavy snap, Alex closed the box heavily.
"This is a gift given by Ethan! You don't have the right to say I deserve it or not!"
Lita had thought that there must be jewelry in the box. She wasn't interested in this kind of thing, but she couldn't bear Alex's arrogance and tyranny. The whole family had to follow his will.
On an impulse, she rushed over to grab the box from Alex's hand. If the gift was too precious and she really didn't deserve it, it should be returned to Ethan by her, not to be decided by Alex.

"Is it your right to decide whether he is convenient or not?" Lita snapped. "I'm Ethan's wife, his legal first guardian! I'm more qualified to go in and see him than anyone else!"
Alex frowned and wondered how a woman as tender as water under his body turned into a shrew with sharp teeth within a few hours? Wasn't he doing good enough in bed?
In the face of her stubbornness and eloquence, a faint smile appeared on Alex's face. "Lita, if I say he's inconvenient, then he's inconvenient! I'm the king, the dictator here. So what? Whatever I say should be followed. Nobody can oppose me in this family."
Lita glared at him angrily. After a long while, she roared from her teeth, "Alex! You! You are fascist!"
Although she was angry, she still got her senses. Of course, she would not choose to fight with him verbally. Since Ethan had agreed to see her, it wouldn't hurt to wait.

In the study, Alex stared at the marriage certificate in his hand. It was in festive red color which gave people a warm and cheerful feeling. The photo was pieced by two but it looked flawless.
In the photo, the woman's beautiful face had a tinge of melancholy and shyness, as if she was feeling helpless and puzzled for becoming somebody's wife, and at the same time, there seemed to be a little longing for the future on her face too. Her character seemed to be both tough and weak.
After scrutinizing the photo for a long time, Alex closed the marriage certificate and put it back in the brocade box, and then locked it in the safe.
In the treatment room, Ethan asked angrily, "Alex, why wouldn't you let me see Lita? Do you plan to pretend to be me and frighten her for the rest of your life?"
"Then you tell me first, why do you want to see Lita? Just to tell her that I am her husband, not you?" Alex retorted instead. "Shouldn't we do so? We should have told her long time ago!" Ethan replied.
"What are you going to do after telling her this? Do you want to die? I'll never give you the chance to do that." Alex's words were cold and harsh.
"Alex, do you want to lie to her for the rest of your life? She is your wife!"
Sometimes, Ethan really didn't like his brother being too smart. He could see everything more clearly than others.
"This is her fate! Since the day she decided to marry into Selmy family, her destiny has been decided."
