My Hottie Dad; Can't Help Falling For Him

Chapter 24. Menstrual Cramps

Ch. 24 / 26 Feb 19, 2026

"Five days monster?" Liam repeated dumbly.

"It's my time of the month, Dad!" Daniella yelled at the top of her voice as if reprimanding her father for not understanding that.

"Shit!" Liam swore lowly under his breath and tried to lift her up in his arms, but Daniella wouldn't oblige.

"Come on, Ella, let's get you on the bed,"

"No, Dad. I like it here," Daniella growled in pain, rolling out of Liam's grip.

"My stomach is on fire, Dad. I-I need my meds,"

By this time, white fine beads of sweat were now glistening on her forehead, down to her swan-like-neck.

"You didn't bring them, did you?" Liam felt bitter and grieved in his heart. Watching his daughter in pain hurt his heart terribly.

Groaning louder and curling up herself into a ball, "I forgot them.... Argh!"

Liam leaped to his feet immediately, "I'll go get them. Just tell me their names," he pressed for and rushed out of the room to grab his wallet.

He returned to Daniella's room and bent closely to her, "Tell me the name of the meds, Ella. I'll go get them now," he commanded, his chest twisting more and more in bare pain, especially when two large tears rolled down Daniella's face.

"No, Dad, don't leave me alone," she grumbled, opening her watery eyes and met his father's anxious red eyes.

"Lukewarm water should do," she mumbled out, forcing a little smile onto her lips.

Liam nodded readily and carried her to the bed obstinately; "The floor is too cold... please," his voice was soaked with despair, and he was glad that she didn't argue this time.

In a split-second, Liam was already rushing back into Daniella's room with a massive mug filled with warm water.

"Here, Ella," he said with an erratic breath, crawling on top of the bed and using his other hand to bring Daniella to a sitting position.

"Here. Drink up," Liam urged her, blowing the vapor consistently and bringing the mug to her lips.

Daniella then gulped the whole water at once and lay back, this time; she turned and lay on her stomach.

Liam watched her face, expecting the pain to dissolve already, but he felt more miserable when Daniella didn't stop wincing.

He walked out of the room, to the kitchen, picked up his cell phone where he'd left it and opened the web browser.

*Homemade remedy for menstrual cramps*

He searched the browser and his eyes lit up a bit when tons of solutions popped on his phone screen.

Scrolling down, a particular remedy caught his attention, and he suddenly dropped his phone and turned toward the refrigerator.

Recoiling and grating on the bed, Daniella was surprised to see her Dad walking back into the room with a bowl of Ben and Jerry's ice-cream.

Squeezing her eyes shut and opened them again, she heaved herself up and her eyes found her Dad's.

"Ice-cream?" she couldn't hide her surprise.

"Yes, Sweetheart. I just learned that it reduces cramps," Liam explained, sitting on the bed.

"Come on, let's give this a try," he intoned, putting the ice-cream in front of her on the bed and also gave her a spoon.

Daniella collected the spoon reluctantly, staring at Liam's face irresolutely.

"Come on, baby. You have to trust me," Liam said reassuringly, patting her exposed thigh.

Not too long after, Liam was seen pacing forth and back in his daughter's room, his gaze staying on her body on the bed.

The pain hadn't subsided even with the amount of Ice-cream she had eaten, and in his eyes, it seemed the pain has just increased.

This was really getting out of hand. He couldn't stand it anymore. He had to go get the medicines as soon as he could.

"I'll be right back really soon, Daniella. Just let me go," he moved toward her on the bed and plea tearfully.

"Dad, you won't stay long, right?" Daniella tumbled out in tears, wriggling from one edge to the other.

"I promise," that said, Liam stooped and kissed her forehead fleetingly.

With that, he grabbed his brown coat and fled out of the room.

After about thirty minutes' drive, Liam hurriedly got down from the cab in front of a giant pharmacy, paid the cab man and took off into the pharmacy without collecting his change.

"Don't worry yourself too much, sir. She will be alright after these pills," the female pharmacist assured Liam for the second time as she arranged the pills and gave it to him with a bright smile touching her lips.

Liam received it with a mumbled 'Thanks' and also tried to return her smile the best way he could, but it seemed he wouldn't be able to smile until his daughter is feeling good again.

He spun around after paying up but stopped dead in track and took his gaze to the goods in there, searching for something.

However, the moment he walked closer, he nearly bumped into three high school girls in uniform.

And as he passed by them, they watched him with adoration and worship in their eyes as they kept murmuring to themselves.

Soon, his eyes came in contact with that thing... that tiny wing thing ladies use during their menstrual period. In his opinion, he thought that Daniella would need it as soon as the pain stops.

"How can he be so cute?" he heard one of the girls muttered aloud. He slanted his head in their direction and gave them a small smile.

"Oh my God, he just smiled at me!" the brunette among the girls nearly shrieked as she palmed her burning cheeks, her eyes flashing with sheer excitement.

At this time, Liam was scratching the back of his neck awkwardly as he kept gawking at the thing he wanted to pick so badly, and then disappeared from these girls watch.

"What do you think he is here to buy?" one of the girls asked her friends, her gaze staying firmly on Liam's back.

Just then, Liam quickly snatched one of the items and scampered away, while the girls cooed wretchedly after him.

"Whoever she is, I'm really envious of her," the same brunette muttered sadly with tears in her eyes while they watched Liam pay up and then scurried out of the place.

Liam had gotten outside, but he could still himself being watched. So, he tilted his head backward and saw the school girls staring and waving at him cheerfully from the pharmacy transparent glass.

Smiling, he waved back at them and walked a few steps away from there.

After waiting several minutes, he was beginning to get impatient as to why there were no cabs coming. Not only that, he was getting cold.

Sighing in frustration, he hitchhiked to the passing vehicles, but none of them were stopping.

"Damn it!"

He ruffled his hair in fury and was ready to jump into the road, but luckily, a car rolled to a stop in front of him and then wound down the glass.

Without much thought, Liam moved to the car and stooped a bit so that he could see the person behind the wheel.

However, the moment his eyes came in contact with a female... a beautiful blond female with blue eyes, his keenness died down as he'd wished for a man instead.

"Hey, handsome," the lady beamed at Liam, looking so pretty. "I can see you're having trouble getting a cab. Let me give you a ride, please" she requested, slumping to the passenger's seat and unlocked the door for him to enter.

Liam didn't bother contemplating as he nodded gratefully and then slide into the car at once.

"Are you aware that you're so handsome? What's your name?" the blond started a conversation, watching Liam's face from time to time and not willing to hide her flirtatious scheme.

"Liam," Liam ignored her first words and replied simply, hoping the car could just fly and stop right in front of his house.

"I'm Evelyn," she introduced and then stole a glance at Liam's hands, and that was when she noticed the pharmacy bag he was holding.

"Are you okay though?" she asked with a hint of concern in her voice. Liam then glanced at her face and noticed that she was looking at his hands.

"Oh," Liam breathed out sharply, "This is for my daughter, Evelyn. She's really having a serious cramp right now," he explained with a heavy burden in his heart.

Evelyn felt something painful released in her heart at the mention of 'daughter' in Liam's mouth.

"Y-You are m-married?" she didn't know when she stuttered out, feeling a big mess in her heart.

With a little smile on Liam's lips, he replied proudly, "Yes, Evelyn,"

In what felt like twenty-five minutes, the car screeched to a halt at Liam's command, and he instantly came down from it.

With a wide grin on his face to the sad-looking Evelyn, "Thank you so much, Evelyn," he said with a deep sense of gratitude, but Evelyn couldn't return the same energy as she barely nodded her head.

Heaven knows that she was really heartbroken.

On the other hand, Liam didn't seem to care about her gloomy expression as he spun into the yard without waiting for his savior to drive away.

However, he became so stunned as soon as he spotted Daniella standing at the façade of the building, the streetlamp shimmering above her annoyed expression.

Goddammit!
