Theresa asked Junxie Li to drive her to the hospital, she wants to see her aunt. The latter agreed and asked her to promise him she wasn't going to be emotional.Theresa agreed and he said ok.
When they arrived, The doctor was just announcing the death of Zhou's father. The whole hospital was turned upside down.
Everyone who heard the story of what happened to Zhou and his family, felt sorry for them. Some shed a few tears. Such evil brought upon a family in just one day?
Junxie shook his head. These people died in place of Theresa. He would have been this sorrowful if it was his Fiancee that died.
Theresa heard how her chauffeur's parents also followed after their son and that made her sob. A son and his parents deserted the world on the same day in such a circumstance?
Lanre and Rosa came to meet them and for the first time since Aunt Lulu was wheeled into the intensive care unit, Junxie Li followed Lanre into the ward.
When Theresa Mo saw her aunt, she almost fainted. She wanted to go and hold her but Lanre held her back.
"Aunt, aunt Lulu!" Theresa was broken. She saw an oxygen mask on her and she was being infused with a drip.
Junxie Li held her hand and forced her out of the ward. He took her into his lounge "please my love, don't hurt yourself, your aunt will be fine.
You promised me that you won't go emotional. Now you are going back on your words.." Junxie Li was coaxing her.
Lanre and Rosa returned to the lounge. Lanre stood watching his sister. He was so emotional when he heard about his aunt's accident and death.
What if she had seen her when she was declared dead earlier. She would have fainted already.
"Junxie, you have to promise me that you will bring the fellow who made my aunt in this state down, and bring him to justice for my chauffeur and his parents. Promise me Junxie"Theresa Mo declared.
Junxie cleaned her tears and ran his hand over her hair. "I don't need to promise you my love," he paused and stared at her "Because I have him already" he concluded.
"You have him already?" Theresa Mo asked, a ray of excitement shone upon her face and she smiled.
Junxie Li nodded and smiled too. Theresa circled her hand around his neck and confessed "I love you my darling". "I love you more," Junxie Li replied.
Theresa threw caution to the air and completely ignored the fact that her brother and his girlfriend were there, she started kissing Junxie first and he was ever ready to give himself to her as well.
Lanre just looked away and Rosa held Lanre's hand. They went out, allowing the lovers to have a private time together.
"I felt like kissing you too" Lanre stated and gave Rosa a sideways glance. He suggested that they go for lunch, the day is far past and only now did he feel like eating.
His aunt has become stable. It will take a few days and she will be fine. He just wants her to wake up from her coma soon.
Theresa's wedding is in a few days time, in less than four days, she would be married to Junxie. He doesn't know how the wedding was going to look like.
Will it still hold or will it be postponed? He doesn't know what Junxie Li would decide. Theresa Mo is pregnant already and they have to be married all the same.
When they arrived inside the car, Lanre hugged Rosa and kissed her before starting the ignition. He wasn't cheerful enough, he was feeling unhappy.
" Are you feeling bothered again?" Rosa asked. Lanre looked lost in his distant thoughts.
" Kind of, My sister's wedding is in a couple of days time, this weekend to be precise. Aunt Lulu is in a coma and cannot attend the wedding.
Her chauffeur was dead and his parents couldn't take the news and the reality of their son's death and they gave up. How can the wedding still hold?
To make it a little complex, Theresa is pregnant but she doesn't know yet. I don't know what to say or do being her only brother and her twin at that…"Lanre spewed out his worries.
Rosa was quiet as well. All the points and reasons Lanre tabled were worth being given a second thought. What would happen to all that has been prepared?
" Let things unfold, my love. As men, call Junxie Li and talked about it with him. Prepare for it before the day arrives" Rosa advised.
Lanre nodded and gave her a sideways glance. She talks sense a lot. He stretched his hand and held her wrist. "I love you" he whispered.
" I love you babe" Rosa responded.
CHAPTER 202
That evening, Rosa and the rest went home. Lanre insisted on staying behind to monitor his aunt's condition.
He was called at intervals and he checked whatever was going to be administered to her. He was staying in Junxie's lounge like a VIP.
He had called the city hospital and told them he wasn't going to be available for days. Considering the fact that he doesn't make excuses that much, he was given two weeks off.
That evening, Junxie Li called him and said it was his step mother Molly Mo who had hired the killer to finish Theresa.
But he would ensure that he doesn't live to see another day. Lanre asked him to wait for him,he wanted to know if the fellow was the one who killed his mother.
Junxie Li waited for him and Lanre arrived. Theresa Mo has gone to sleep and the two men went to meet Alex Si at the basement.
He was tied with his hands up and dangling. He looked worn out and tired. He never knew he could be traced to the crime.
Like always, he had left no clue behind. How was he traced? Was it through his conversation with Molly? But the woman he crushed is Molly's step daughter and has no relationship with these rich folks.
Or could it be that they want to assign him to a job? He watched as the two men walked into the basement and two of their bodyguards.
"Release him and tie him down, '' Junxie Li ordered. The two bodyguards got to work and Alex fell to the ground with a 'stud' sound.
Junxie Li scrutinized him from his head to his toes. He isn't a young man and yet sold his conscience to do mean and wicked things.
His lips are dark from the life of cigarettes he had lived. His chest is thin and his ribs seemed to be visible enough to be counted.
His face wrinkled and his eyes sunken. The sight of him is irritating. Lanre stared at him with disdain in his heart.
This fellow is dirty and ugly outwardly and he is like that inwardly. How can be so unattractive and yet still be evil in his acts?
Alex Si was tied, his hands and his feet and was made to sit on the bare floor. Two seats were brought and the two men sat on it.
"What do you want from me? Why am I being held like a prisoner?" Alex Si yelled, he was only guessing that he was abducted and brought there because of the job he did for Molly.
Maybe it is just a guess and there might be other reasons for it. The two men didn't answer him and he kept yelling.
" Someone come, take a plier and remove his front tooth" Junxie Li ordered. Alex Si suddenly became quiet. Remove his front tooth when he is not having dental surgery?
Looks like these people are more brutal than him. Who are they? They look rich and expensive but are mean in their hearts.
Quickly, Junxie Li's bodyguards came forward and one pushed him down while another wore a handglove.
What the quietly seated Junxie Li and Lanre heard was the scream coming from the man. He was shivering and within ten minutes, he was released and he was writhing in pain.
He was raised to sit up again and the grey colored tooth was placed in front of its owner on a small tray.
His mouth was bleeding and the blood was dripping on his skinny but tiny chest. His eyes had gone red and he was sweating profusely.
"You have no right to say anything except to give answers to my questions. And if you linger before answering my questions, another tooth would be removed until the entire thirty two teeth would be chiseled out.
Now tell me who you are and why you live as an assassin?" Junxie Li asked and light a cigarette, he took it to his mouth and Puff the smoke on Alex Si's face,
Alex Si didn't answer him. He was quiet and stared at the men seated in fury. If he leaves there alive, he would destroy these men.
Seeing he wasn't answering, Junxie Li didn't ask him a second time but ordered the men "removed two more teeth and this time, use a chisel and dug it out from the gum, digging the roots out" Junxie ordered.
"I will speak, please spare me" Alex Si pleaded. He was still in so much pain already and this fellow still wants his men to remove two more teeth at a time with a chisel?
Lanre sneered at him. Looks like he would not bulge until he sees the coffin. He would long have started removing the veins on his neck gradually.
" My name is Alex Si. I work as an assassin only for one person, otherwise, I have been a drug peddler" he replied honestly.
Junxie Li puffed more smoke on him and he started choking. He choked until he felt his life was going to be out of him. His eyes had gone red.
"Today you hit a Lamborghini from behind and pushed them into a narrow ditch with a truck. Why did you do it?" Junxie Li asked.
"I.. I was paid to do it. I was to murder the woman in the car. I am not the murderer, but was only given a job to do" Alex Si replied.
Junxie Li suddenly bursted into laughter, it wasn't an amusing one, but a wicked vengeful laughter.
Lanre just remained expressionless. This fellow is senseless. He is not the murderer but did the job. Does he listen to himself when he talks?
" Who sent you to kill her?" He asked, suddenly pausing his laughter as quickly as he started it.
" It's Molly Mo. She asked me to crush one Theresa Mo. I only did what I collected money for. Please spare me, don't kill me" Alex Si pleaded.
Junxie Li's gaze turned hostile. He doesn't want to die but would kill someone else because of money. People who kill with the sword are afraid of a mere needle.
"Well done. You successfully killed a man and his parents in one day who have done you no harm. Another patient is currently in the intensive care unit, battling with her life.
And you want me to spare you? What about the people who you have killed? Why didn't you spare them?
An eye for an eye Alex Si. I will not spare you because that woman Theresa Mo is my fiance. But the truth of it was that she wasn't in the car, it's her Aunt.
But you killed her chauffeur and his old parents as well because of your acts. For this, you will pay for it…" Junxie Li declared.
" Was it you who crushed a woman Many years ago by the name Ye Xiaoxi?" Lanre asked and Alex Si nodded, bowing his head.
