Meanwhile, Diego was before his Old Mavis who had a stunning look on his face.
"Who was that?" Old Mavis asked.
"That was my wife. I would have bought her here with me but she is not feeling too good. She needs to rest" Diego replied.
Hannah, who was beside Old Mavis, frowned. Her fist clenched hard. Venessa who was beside her chest heaves with nervousness.
Diego sounded as if they were close.
"That's a fake bride, Diego," Hannah challenged.
"Fake bride? You saw clearly that I got married to a woman that day" He said.
"You mean the girl I saw in your house?" Venessa asked this time.
"My house?" Diego frowned Hannah. Venessa immediately realized she should have said that.
"You went to my house without my permission? How bold" He remarked, anger lacing in his voice.
Hannah quickly tried to smoothen the situation.
"What is her name? Is she close to the family?"
"That, I can't tell you at the moment. But I'll introduce her to the family soon when she is ready" Diego replied.
"Venessa is the daughter of Max's cooperation. Her father is a very close man to the family. He is upset the wedding didn't work out. It's not too late to get a divorce.."
"You are getting on my nerves, Hannah. Since Venessa was the one who didn't show up what the fuck am I supposed to do? Stand at the altar and disgrace the family?" He asked, making Hannah speechless. This conversation was not going their way.
"I got into an accident," Venessa said.
"Accident?" He scoffed and continued. "Should I reveal what you were doing that day? To think that Hannah wants me to marry someone like you disgusts me."
"Diego, respect" Hannah almost flared.
"I don't respect those who don't respect themselves. You were asked to prepare a wife for me, not a slut" Diego's words pierced through Venessa's heart badly. She never knew the man would be this cold and heartless with his words.
All this while, Old Mavis was silent the whole time.
"I got to fulfill grandfather's wish. That's all that matters" Diego concluded.
"Father, this isn't.." Hannah made to speak but Old Mavis raised his finger shutting her up. She swallowed and waited for him to speak.
"I would wait for you to introduce her to the family. It shouldn't take long.. I want to see the woman who is going to bring me grandchildren" Old Mavis said and stood up slowly with the assistant of his maid and left.
Diego stood, dipping his hands into his pocket as he stared down at the two women.
"I'll leave this warning. Don't even try going after her. I'll interfere and trust me, you'll definitely won't like it."
With this, he walked out of the place and followed Old Mavis.
Hannah bit down her lips in anger.
"You should spend the night here. I've missed your presence" Old Mavis said as they stood alone.
"Hmm, how's your health?" He asked.
"I'm fine now since I know you have a woman"
"Are you so happy about that?" Diego asked.
"You have no idea," Old Mavis smiled.

A young man stepped into the company, dressed in a well-fitted suit. His hair was styled backward revealing his handsome face.
The receptionist gasped, setting his eyes on him.
"Hi, I'm here for an appointment"
"Uhm.. right, this way" The receptionist tried to compose herself.
Aiden nodded his head and followed her. He was led to an office. When his eyes met with the woman in it, he smiled.
'You should watch where you are going' Her voice sounded in his head.
Yazmine stared at her phone screen. Her anonymous friend hasn't replied yet. Is he okay?
"Miss Yazmine, you have a visitor" The receptionist informed and Yazmine looked up. She swallowed at his beauty.
"Good morning ma'am. I'm Aiden" The young man smiled.
"Oh, right. Please sit" She offered and he sat.
"Thank you"
Yazmine asked him a few questions and he answered. For some reason, she found him familiar. The way he speaks, it seems like she knows him.
"Have we met before?" She couldn't help but ask.
"Maybe" He replied while Yazmine only stared at him.

While working, Candy's mind lingered on the conversation she had with Jackie in the morning. Natalie lied just to make Jackie hate her? She was glad Jackie didn't listen to her.
Her father's lawyer is who she needs to find. Before that, she needs to find Natalie's secret. Diego must have Vortex with him, she just needs to wait for him to come back.
A bunch of flowers was suddenly dropped before Candy. Her gaze moved up to the lady.
"From Xavier George," She said and left.
"Xavier?" Candy blinked severally, staring at the flower.
"Why did he send this?" she mumbled and took the paper placed at one side of the paper.
*IT WAS REALLY GREAT SEEING YOU LAST NIGHT. I'LL VISIT YOU AT WORK SOON*
She sighed after reading the content.
"Are you still upset?" Candy asked Yazmine while they ate together.
"I could have taken you home but you left yourself"
"I passed out. The president saw me and took me home" Candy half lied.
Yazmine spit back his drink and chuckled.
"Maybe you saw the wrong person"
"Maybe" Candy decided to go with the flow with an awkward smile. "Where is Jameson and the president?"
"They went on a business trip, and will be back after today or tomorrow," Yazmine said and Candy's face dropped.
He left for a business trip without telling her. What does she expect anyway? The man's heart is like that of a stone.
"Why do you look sad? Awwn.. you're going to miss my brother?" Yazmine said.
"Huh? That's not it" Candy shook her head.

Getting home that night, Candy headed to her room with a bunch of flowers in her hand. Her phone buzzed and a message from a strange number popped up on her screen.

Candy knew it was from Xavier, she didn't reply to the text and kept her phone. Her gaze went to Diego's room.
'Is he back?' She thought to herself.
Before her hand could reach the door, it opened itself revealing Diego. He was wearing a white T-shirt and shorts which looked good on him. He was on his way to the living room.
Candy swallowed at his beauty.
"What's with the flowers?" He asked.
"I got them from a friend," She replied. "Why didn't you tell me you were going on a business trip?"
"Do I have to?" He frowned.
"Yes, I stayed up last night waiting for you to come back home," She said.
"That was your choice. I told you to stop acting nice before me. It sucks" He said coldly but Candy was used to his harsh words and actions. He made to walk past her but she stood before him.
"What the hell do you think you are doing?" He asked, raising his brow.
"Apologize" She demanded. Diego stared at her for a while before scoffing. Is this woman serious right now?
"Are you insane?" He stepped closer, his hands casually tucked into his pocket.
"What will you do if I do not apologize?" He dared.
"I'll kiss you," Candy replied, making Diego speechless.
She usually flinched whenever he spoke or touched her but now she was staring at him boldly.
