Lucas reached for her waist and pulled her close to himself, before slamming his lips on hers. Avery eyes flew wide open.

His lips moved against hers not minding the stare coming from other people surrounding them. Avery wanted to push him away but could because of the shock.
Chloe who saw this quickly took a picture and squealed on her spot.
After a while, Lucas pulled back and stared at the stun woman before him.
Avery swallowed hard. She didn't even realize she had been staring at him for a long time, until the man spoke.
"It worked Mrs President, he is gone" he said looking behind her.
Avery looked back and saw Robert retreating already. Her eyes slowly turn cold as the shifted to Lucas. "The fuck did you just do?!"
"I just helped you chase him away, why are you glaring at me?" He shrugged.
It took everything in her not to punch him hard on the face. They are still at the function so she did the best thing she could think of, she turn around and left.
Lucas could only sigh.
At night, Avery lay on her couch with a pillow on her face. She couldn't get the scene of Lucas kissing her out of her head. Out of frustration, she groaned out and threw the pillow off her.
"Why does he have to put his lips on mine.. ahh.. I feel like killing that bastard.. how dare he?!" She threw some fists on the air. "Why am I still thinking about it. I'm going crazy!"
Her phone rang on her table and she grab it to check who it is. It was an unknown number.
"Hello, who is this?" She ask immediately after picking up the phone.
"You still don't have my number. Mrs Winfrey?" Lucas voice sounded over the phone.
"Jerk!!" She exclaimed and cut the call immediately. She saved his name as 'Jerk' on her phone.
"Jerk" she muttered before laying back on her couch.

Delphine is an orphan who carter for herself. She work in one of the most famous Hotel in new York. She uses her salary to cater for herself and her boyfriend who mostly demand a lot from her. Delphine didn't care about it, but gives all his demands to him out of love.
The fact that she is the breadwinner never made her feel down. They plan to get engaged but she was left shattered when she caught her boyfriend sleeping with another lady on her own bed. The worse part was, he didn't care if she was hurt. They laughed at her.
He took all her savings and travelled out with the girl.
Delphine couldn't sleep that night so she went to work a night shift at the hotel. Her working partner was Elsa.. There, she met Calton. The night got worst for her, she slept with another man she had no idea on who he is. Heartbroken, she left the city and plan make another life for herself but found a life growing inside her. She was pregnant..
She decided to keep the child and gave birth to a son. She knew the father was that mysterious man she slept with.. when the child clocked three, he fell terribly sick. She spent almost all she had for her son but it didn't work. The doctor asked for a blood transfusion but her blood didn't match.
That was why she came back to New York to find the father of her child. To her surprise, she found out the man she slept with was an international model.. a son to a legend in the entertainment industry. She tried getting in touch with him but Elsa didn't allow it.
"I just want to see him just for a moment. He need to save his son" Delphine said to Elsa who gave her a snubby look.
"Can't you see he have a fiance already. Telling him you have a child will ruin our relationship. You left and lost your chance.. so go away" Elsa said coldly.
"You were there that night. Don't tell me you lied to him!" Delphine glared.
"I didn't. I only just took my chance. I can't believe you got pregnant. Just go away, Calton is mine"
She tried over and over again but Elsa didn't let her. Fortunately, she got the chance to see him on a show. All she wanted was to save her son.

Calton clinched his jaw after hearing everything. He never thought Elsa will be that cruel, he had been decieved by her all these while.. Delphine sure faced a lot.
"I'm sorry" he muttered.
"It's fine. I'm not mad at you since you have a good heart. My son is fine now, thanks to you" she smiled.
Calton reached for her hand and caressed it gently. If she was other woman, they would have find a way to destroy his reputation in other to gain the media sympathy. Delphine even told him, she wasn't here to destroy anything but to save her son.. no.. their son.
Delphine looked up to him, her heart pounding hard against her chest. He is so handsome. She avert her gaze when he looked up at her.
Calton only smiled.

(NEXT DAY.. VEE STUDIO)
"Uhm excuse me, where's the director to this studio? We've been here for an hour now" Rana said to a lady she spot.
"Sorry, the director is currently attending to someone" The lady replied calmly.
"Then why did he tell us to come here by 12?" Rana asked.
"Ah" Calton who was beside her wince and squeeze his face as if he was in pain.
"Oh my God Calton, are you okay?" Rana asked with a worried look. The lady was also worried.
"I just have some pains in my stomach. Can't we just see the director already?" Calton asked.
The lady sure knows who Calton is. There's no way the studio would want to miss a model like him.
"Come with me, I'll take you to the director" The lady said and they both stood up and followed her.
"Nice work Calton" Rana whispered to Calton.
"You knew I was pretending?" Calton asked, a bit amused.
"Trust me I've learnt a lot from your mother" she replied and the lady open the door of an office Before them.
Rana and Calton frowned spotting the two figure before the director.
Elsa and Trevor.
"What the hell is going on?" Rana muttered with a displeasing look. Calton gaze remain on Elsa. He had once seen Trevor, and he wonder what kind of relationship is between them.
When Elsa's eyes met with his, he saw the hatred in them.
"I told you to let them wait, why did you bring them here?" The director asked.
"Mr Calton is feeling a bit uncomfortable so I thought of letting you know. They've been waiting quite long" The lady said politely. The director gave a cue for her to leave and she did.
Rana smelled something fishy. Elsa and Trevor's expression tells it all. Chantel was right about Trevor, he seems suspicious. She saw the news of IMG company signing him in.. one thing she was worried about was Elsa being his manager.. this guy is definitely using her..
But then. Why is Trevor having grudges against them.
"Since you're here Mr Calton.. I'd like to cancel our contract signing. We are using Mr Trevor for the shoot" the director said.
Calton knew this was the next thing. Though, he was a bit surprised on how Elsa and Trevor manage to do it. They want to go against him? Sure, he is ready for.
Rana made to speak but Calton spoke instead. "Let me guess, these people told you how bad and unimpressive my shoots are, and that I'm an international model because of of my mother's influence"
The director was stun by this. Calton said it all. Trevor was a bit surprised, he exchange a look with Calton.
"You should keep believing that director" Calton said shocking them. Rana's lips curve up. Calton is sure not a disappointment. He then put on his glasses and smiled, before speaking again.
