"kiss me"
Lucas word repeated in Avery's head before she could finally realized what he had just said.
"Are you drunk?" Her eyes squinted as she observe the man before her. Max also wonder if his boss is drunk too.
"No, I'm perfectly fine.. but I'm wondering the same. You seem like someone who wouldn't care if I die on the cold street" Lucas said with a sly smile.
"Do you really think I'm someone that cruel? I don't care about you.. I just don't want a corpse on my head.. people would actually think I killed you" She said pouted her lips a little.
"So in one sentence.. you are worried about me" Lucas raised his brow and Avery glared at him.
"You know what fine.. don't eat" She said and went to sit.
Just then Lucas draw the food close to himself and open to eat. Avery and Max looked at him with shock.
"I'll always do the opposite of what you say Mrs president" Lucas said and began to eat.
"I'll be leaving" Max bow a little and left.
After he was done, Lucas face his work.
"Aren't you going to tell me what's happening?" Avery asked but the man was quiet.
"You know fine, forget about it" she groaned lightly and face her system.
Just then Lucas began to explain. "I was trying to track down this gangster whose identity is unknown. He attacked my cousin last night using him to send an alert that he will be coming for me Sooner..."
Avery lips dropped. Was he serious when he said he was going to do the opposite of whatever he says. Is he crazy?..
"And then I found some of his men last night and decided to give him the same message.. in double fold. Don't worry, I didn't kill anyone.. oh wait.. I killed four or five of them...
Avery titled her head one side.. he is a Mafia just like her dad.. even with his innocent look?..
"And then I got home and I was busy searching for his hiding place and I found it.. now I need a plan to go in and destroy my enemy" he concluded and gave her a smile.
"You're such a physco" Avery muttered with her lips parted.
"Thanks.. don't act cool, I know you are into something.."
"I'm not!" She cut in.
"Woah! Calm down young lady" he said lightly.
"I was into those kind of things but not anymore" she said.
"Hm, you don't miss holding a gun and seeing blood splashing all over?" He asked.
"Can you stop talking?" She asked.
"I wonder how it will look like when a girl fights like a lion" Lucas said.
"Don't stop talking" she oh and Lucas went mute.
"Tssk" Avery scoffed and continue her work. Meanwhile, Lucas gave off a small smile. He hardly talk this much around people but he enjoyed doing this with this woman before him.

A car stopped before the elegant cafe and Calton stepped out. He adjust his suit and head inside. His eyes search for a figure and then went to meet her.
Elsa raised her head and gave Calton a smile. "Hey" she greeted.
Without a word Calton held her hand and pulled her up.
"Calton?" She called but the man didn't answer her as he led her out of the cafe.
While driving, Calton gaze on the road was so cold. Elsa kept on glancing at him each seconds as her mind wonder why he was this way. She called his name severally but he didn't answer.
Getting to a quiet place, Calton stopped the car and stepped out. He walked around, opened the door for her and asked her to step out.
"Calton what's wrong and why did you bring me here?" She asked still sitting in the car.
"Step out first" Calton demanded. A bite in his voice. Elsa knew what is best and step out.. her mind wondering what must have happened.
He shut the door as soon as she step out, and then sweep his hair backwards.
"Calton" Elsa called and made to touch him but he shifted back.
"Elsa" he inhaled sharply. "I need you to tell me the truth, if you truly love me" he started.
"What truth? I've never lied to you" she said.
Calton scoffed inwardly. "Right, then tell me what happened that night. Four years ago" he asked and her face turn cold.
"Why are you bringing this up again? I thought you pro..."
"Just answer Elsa.. stop avoiding that question. What happened that night!" Calton asked trying to keep his voice low.
"You raped me okay? You took away my virginity. Is that what you wanna hear?!" She yelled.
"Tell the details" he demandwd and Elsa froze.
"What do you mean details? Details on how you forced me on bed?.."
"What did you do to me. You tried defendimg yourself right? Where did you hit?" He asked. She made to change the topic but Calton almost yelled. "Fucking answer!"
"I puched you on the stomach, okay" Elsa said. Her voice seems unsure.
Calton heart dropped. "You weren't the one Elsa" he muttered.
"Calton I was the one. You saw me when I woke up. Why are we even still talking about this? We love each other.."
"Yeah.. I thought so. I actually thought you'll stop deceiving me but I was wrong" he muttered and the bought out his phone to play a video. Elsa eyes widened as it played before her.
The video was the footage of that night. It shows how Calton dragged Delphine into the room and shut the door. Some hours later, Delphine stepped out the room and then Elsa walked in.
"Why did you keep on Lying over and over keeping me in dark. I was so fucking over you but you fucked this up with your lies" he was trying to hold back his tears.
"Calton I...I'm sorry" tears slipped out of her eyes.
"Sorry huh? It's been four years Elsa.. four years I've been sleeping on your bed of lies" Calton said.
"Does it matter? You and I love each other" she said.
"A love built with lies and end with lies" Calton muttered.
"What do you mean end" Elsa's voice came out shaky this time. She was getting scared.
"It is what you think Elsa, I'm done" he said.
"No, you can't.. I did this because I had always loved you. And when I saw Delphine walking out of your room that night I thought of it as an opportunity to get close to you... I love you Calton. Don't just throw our moments away.."
"Your lies made made me neglect a three years old boy who is currently fighting for his life and the woman who was heartbroken every single day remembering that night. I can't believe you can't do this shit Elsa.. just go" he said.
Elsa went on her knee. "Don't please, Calton.. I swear I didn't mean to.."
She stopped when she spot two figures behind him.
Chantel and Delphine..
"President Chantel, I..."
"I can't help you, it's his choice" Chantel who stare at her with care has those disappointing look on her face. Is this the end for her?
Her gaze moved to Delphine and her fist clinched, these happened just because this woman showed up.
Calton walked pass her, leaving her still kneeling on the floor. Chantel and Delphine also followed too.
Elsa stayed there for an unmeasurable amount of time as tears kept streaming down her face. All her effort just ended within minutes? He didn't even consider the fact that they had been together for four years? All he could think of was her mistake. Could it be that Calton never loved her from the start?
A pair of well polished shoe stood before.
"Are you okay miss?" The person asked and she looked up slowly, up his face.
