Love after Divorce

Chapter 126

Ch. 126 / 127 Apr 15, 2026

Narrated by Mason:

We take our seats and wait impatiently for our future wives. I must say that if someone had told me four years ago that I would be getting married to Paige out of love, my reaction would have been to laugh out loud, considering that something like that would never happen.

Sometimes destiny puts the right people in our lives, but some of us are blinded by a glare and become unable to see the true ray of light we want in our lives. I smile as I remember the first time I saw Paige, furious at the thought of marrying me. She was so angry that I could almost see steam coming out of her ears. She looked adorable and terrifying at the same time. I remember that when I saw her asleep, not a single bad thought crossed my mind. My mind didn't see her as a woman, but as a friend. And as I got to know her more each day, I unknowingly fell in love with her. Being around her was always something I enjoyed. I felt good in her presence, but I couldn't grasp the fact that she was the woman I truly loved and wanted to be with until it was too late.

I am a fortunate man to have the opportunity for this second chance, and I certainly won't waste it. I can say that we are about to embark on a love story after so many years together and then apart, something not all couples can say.

Paige narrates:

I feel like I'm living in a parallel world, a reality from another dimension. It's as if I'm dreaming and all of this is happening in my dream. Emily is the one who brings me back to reality when I get lost in my thoughts.

"Now it will truly be forever, and believe me, if my son does the slightest stupid thing, you call me, and I will teach him a lesson he won't forget. The same goes for both of you girls, I'll always be there for all three of you. You're like my daughters, and I feel lucky to have you in my life. I wish I had known you earlier so we could have shared more moments of your lives together. You can count on me for anything, you know, you have my support in everything. If any of you want to run away, I'll start the car and we'll go, whatever it takes. I will always, always be by your sides," Emily says, and I feel like I couldn't be luckier.

My mother-in-law is the best of them all. I realized that my parents aren't here, and honestly, it doesn't surprise me, nor do I miss them. Emily and Mason's father are enough to give us all the love we need. In fact, I think it was a relief not to see them here. After so many years without seeing them, I don't even miss them anymore.

After crying with Emily, she tells us that it's time to go downstairs. She goes out first, and the three of us line up one behind the other, ready to enter when the time is right. I see our future husbands looking at us with smiles on their faces, and I see the sparkle in their eyes, that sparkle that can't be hidden when you love someone and feel that they are your world.

I look at the three of them and smile, realizing that with them, we will be happy by their side. Our friendship continues to grow, and we consider ourselves more like sisters than friends, and they feel the same way. I feel that the six of us deserve to be happy, even though it has been more difficult for some than others. We have all had our fair share of bumps along the way that have made things a bit challenging. However, here we are today, stronger than ever, like the warriors we are, proving that we can always overcome life's setbacks. When we fall, we get up stronger and with more determination to achieve our dreams and goals.

I look at the three of them and smile, realizing that with them by our side, we are going to be happy. Our friendship continues to grow, and we consider ourselves more like sisters than friends, and the same goes for them. I feel that out of the six of us, we all deserve to be happy. While it has been more difficult for some than others, we have all had our fair share of bumps along the way that have made things a bit complicated. However, here we are today, stronger than ever, like the warriors we are, proving that we can always overcome life's setbacks. When we fall, we rise stronger and with a greater determination to fulfill our dreams and goals.

The ceremony begins with the judge standing before us. We exchange our vows and the guys have organized everything, down to the dance. Mason and the guys didn't leave anything out of the event.

We dine amidst laughter, and I notice that the sky begins to turn a shade of orange, signaling that the sunset is right in front of our eyes. It's something I've always loved, simply watching the sunset because of its beauty and how it behaves differently each day.

“Would you like to dance with me while we watch the sunset?" Mason asks, extending his hand to me.

I take his hand and nod. We approach the dance floor, our friends joining us, but each lost in their own world. Mason leans closer to my ear and says, "Just listen to the music and let yourself be carried away, enjoying your favorite time of the day," he says in a low, husky voice.

I sigh as I listen to "Until I Found You" by Stephen Sánchez.

"Wrap me up in everything, I desire you.

In my arms, oh, let me hold you.

I'll never let you go again, like I did before, oh, I used to say.

I'll never fall in love again until I found you, I said, I'll never fall in love.

Unless I fall, I was lost in the darkness, but I found you, I found you."

"Thank you for this surprise, I didn't imagine it, nor did I suspect," I say, looking at the sun merging with the sea.

"That was the idea, love, for you not to suspect anything."

"Sometimes I think about our story, everything we've been through, and how we ended up more in love than ever after our divorce," I say, sighing.

"We were destined to live our love after the divorce," he responds, kissing my lips.

It's a tender, slow kiss, demonstrating all the love we have for each other.

The celebration continues, and I feel happier than ever. I believe that every decision made, even if it wasn't the right one at the time, has led us to this moment. Without those mistakes or poor choices, we wouldn't be here, experiencing this. Besides, I've always believed that we learn from our falls. If I hadn't left, Lucas wouldn't be here. Everything was meant to happen the way it did, and now it's our time to be happy without problems or inconveniences.

Today, I begin to live my true marriage. My new life starts alongside the man I love, who loves me like no one else, with our daughter and our siblings that life has given us.

I can say that today is the beginning of my real life, and my happiness and present will remain for the future. Surrounded by people who love me as much as I love them, and who will always be by my side through thick and thin.
