I Married the Wrong Mafia Prince

Chapter 19: Secrets, Tension, and Uncertainty

Ch. 19 / 30 May 07, 2026

Leandro wasn’t lying when he said he would follow me everywhere.

All day, I felt his presence lurking in the shadows — always close, always just out of sight. It was like I couldn’t escape him, and part of me didn’t want to. But there was always that edge to it, that constant awareness that what we were doing, what we had, could be ripped away in an instant.

I had to admit it: he was good. No one — not even my guards — had any idea that he was shadowing me. His movements were smooth, calculated. The way he slipped in and out of places without being detected was impressive. It was like he had this invisible presence, and I didn’t know if that was because I was losing control or because he was a damn trained killer.

Every time I turned a corner, there he was.

Leandro.

Watching. Waiting. He seemed to be everywhere. I’d see him for a brief moment before he disappeared again — sometimes just a quick glance, or a whisper in my ear. Sometimes I’d catch him in the bathroom when I was supposed to be alone, a flash of him before he pulled back into the shadows.

Was he following me just because he could? Or because he wanted to push me to the edge, to see how far I’d go? I didn’t know.

But when he showed up in the bathroom again, pressing me up against the cold tiles with the same urgency, it felt like a game we couldn’t stop playing. A game where neither of us really knew the rules anymore.

And even though I hated it, I couldn’t deny the rush that came with it.

“Leandro, stop,” I whispered, my voice breathless, as his lips brushed against my neck.

He ignored me, his hands roaming, his body pressed so close to mine that I could feel the heat radiating from him. “I don’t think I can,” he murmured in response, his lips curling into a smirk against my skin. “You make it impossible, Isabella.”

Leandro pulled my skirt up and looked at me through the mirror in disbelief.

“You’re not wearing any panties?” His eyes darkened as I nodded, biting my lower lip in anticipation.

He unzipped his pants, releasing his erection, already throbbing with desire. With one hand holding my hip, he pushed himself inside me, his other hand resting on the cold tile wall for support. I gasped as he filled me completely – the sensation of him pressing deeper and deeper sent shivers down my spine.

Our bodies moved together in an urgent rhythm, each thrust sending waves of pleasure through me. My moans were swallowed by Leandro's passionate kisses – his tongue dancing with mine as we shared our secret moment. The sound of our bodies colliding echoed in the small room, heightening the intensity and driving us both closer to the edge.

I felt the heat build within me as Leandro’s movements became more insistent. My legs wrapped around him instinctively, pulling him closer and urging him to go deeper. Everything else faded away as we lost ourselves in this dance of desire – the only thing that mattered was the sensation of our bodies entwined.

Then, my body tensed as I reached the peak of pleasure – a wave of ecstasy washing over me like a tidal wave. Moments later, Leandro groaned into my ear as he experienced his own release – our climaxes intertwined as we surrendered to each other completely.

Gradually, our breathing slowed down and Leandro pulled away, our gazes locked in the mirror as we acknowledged what had just happened between us. But despite knowing there would be consequences for this stolen moment, neither of us could deny the passion that had been ignited – a fire that burned too strongly to be extinguished.

I could feel the heat of the moment, but I shoved him back gently, putting some distance between us. I wasn’t ready to lose myself in this — not again. We had to keep things under control, even if the chemistry between us was undeniable.

“Why are you doing this?” I asked, my voice steady but with a hint of frustration. “What is your plan, Leandro?”

He smiled but didn’t answer. “You’ll find out soon enough,” he said, his voice full of mischief.

I wanted to scream. I wanted to shout at him, demand answers. But I didn’t. I couldn’t.

I had my own responsibilities. I had to keep my family in check. I had to finish my art course. I couldn’t afford distractions, no matter how tempting they were. Leandro seemed to sense my conflict. He pulled back slightly, his hands still on my waist but his gaze softening.

“I know this isn’t easy for you,” he said, his tone quieter now. “It’s not easy for me, either. You think I don’t want to tell the world about us? That I don’t want to shout it from the rooftops? But we can’t, Isabella. Not yet.”

I blinked, looking up at him. “I know we can’t,” I replied, my voice tinged with frustration. “Our families are at war. Do you think I’m stupid? I can’t just pretend everything’s fine.”

He chuckled softly, but there was no humor in it. “No, you’re not stupid. But I hate this. I hate that we’re hiding. I want to be able to claim you, be with you, without looking over my shoulder every five minutes.”

I swallowed, my throat tightening. It was the first time I had heard him admit how much this was affecting him. Leandro was always the one in control, the one who seemed untouchable. But hearing him say this — it made him feel human.

“I hate it too,” I admitted, my voice quieter now. “But right now, we have to stay in the shadows. If anyone finds out, it’ll ruin everything.”

He leaned in, brushing his lips against my ear, the closeness of him sending a shiver down my spine. “I know,” he whispered, his voice laced with frustration. “But I don’t know how much longer I can do this, Isabella.”

I turned to face him fully, my heart pounding in my chest. “We can’t. We have to wait. We can’t rush this, Leandro. The timing isn’t right.”

For a moment, there was silence between us. His eyes searched mine, like he was trying to figure out whether I meant what I was saying. But before he could say anything, the knock on the door came, interrupting our tense moment.

I stepped back from him, my heart racing. “You should leave,” I whispered urgently, glancing toward the door. “Before someone finds you here.”

Leandro didn’t say anything for a moment. He just stared at me, that unreadable look in his eyes. Then, as quickly as he’d appeared, he was gone. Just like that.

I could feel the heat in my chest slowly fade, leaving behind an unsettling emptiness. I turned away, taking a deep breath to calm myself. I couldn’t get lost in him. I couldn’t let him be my downfall.

But as I got ready to face the world again, one question kept running through my mind:

How long could we keep hiding?
