His Secret Babymama

Chapter 29

Ch. 29 / 60 May 05, 2026

[Serena’s POV]

He obeys, his hands moving with deliberate slowness to unfasten the buttons of his shirt, each click resonating like a heartbeat in the charged air between us. His gaze burns with a fierce intensity, igniting a fire that spreads through my core.

As he reveals each inch of skin, a thrilling rush races through my veins, a dangerous allure that crackles with raw electricity. Standing before me, completely exposed, I can see the tension coiling in the taut muscles of his shoulders, the way his hands flex and relax at his sides, as if he wrestles with the urge to pull me closer.

The weight of this moment is intoxicating, overwhelming. This man, who commands respect in boardrooms and has remained untouchable for seven long years, now stands bare before me, offering himself without a hint of shame.

I step forward, closing the distance until our bodies are mere inches apart, the heat radiating from him pulling me in like a moth to a flame. My fingers wander over his skin, tracing the defined contours of his chest, dipping lower to explore the hard planes of his stomach, feeling the warmth beneath my fingertips.

Each touch elicits a shudder from him, a primal response that makes it clear how deeply he craves this connection, how desperately he wants me. "Serena." My name spills from his lips like a prayer, a plea for permission to abandon all restraint. "Couch." The word escapes me, breathy and urgent. "Now."

We collide, a chaotic fusion of need and urgency, our movements frantic as seven years of suppressed desire erupt into a fiery passion that feels too vast for this small room.

As he enters me, the world outside fades away; it’s just us, lost in an unrelenting rhythm. I feel him fill me, stretching me deliciously, each thrust igniting a surge of pleasure that sends waves of heat coursing through my body.

The sensation is exquisite, blurring the lines of reality as we move together, our bodies entwined in a dance of raw desire.

With every thrust, I feel the exquisite blend of pleasure and pain, each movement driving us deeper into a blissful frenzy. He grips my hips, guiding me to meet him, our bodies crashing together in a rhythm that borders on ferocity.

The sound of skin against skin fills the air, mingling with our heavy breaths and whispered names, creating a symphony of our shared ecstasy. Waves of pleasure wash over me, building higher and higher, drawing me closer to the edge.

In this unguarded moment, there’s no fear of tomorrow, no barriers between us—just two souls choosing one another amidst the wreckage of our pasts.

As I come apart in his embrace, unraveling completely under the weight of his touch, I feel him follow, my name a soft mantra on his lips, his breath hot against my neck. An undeniable truth settles deep in my bones: I am not alone anymore.

The thought terrifies me. But not enough to let go.

Morning arrives with ruthless efficiency. I wake tangled in a duvet that smells like him—the living room, his warmth at my back, the pleasant ache that says last night happened.

My phone buzzes. Email: Human Resources — Salary Adjustment Notice.

I slip from the duvet, pull on his shirt, and open it with unsteady fingers.

The number steals my breath—nearly double, retroactive. The promotion I earned through the audit and integration work, official at last.

Relief floods me—not just for the money, but the proof I earned this. Not because I slept with the CEO.

“Good news?” he asks, voice rough.

“The promotion’s official. The salary is… really good.” I face him.

Something flickers across his face, gone too fast. “You deserve it. You’ve earned it ten times over.”

Then silence. He pours coffee with surgical care, answers Aria’s chatter, won’t meet my eyes. The quiet feels heavy, deliberate.

I don’t know what I did wrong.

"Let's go out today." The suggestion escapes before I've fully formed the plan. "Celebrate. My treat. Aria's been cooped up for days."

"Can we go to the amusement park?" Aria's immediate. Pleading. "Please please please?"

"Sure, baby." I'm watching Caspian for his reaction. "If that's okay?"

"Of course." Still that careful distance. Like he's already preparing for something I don't understand.

The amusement park is chaos. Weekend crowds, sugar-high children, the particular brand of overstimulation that feels like freedom after days of hiding. Aria drags us toward rides with single-minded determination while I try to decode the tension in Caspian's shoulders.

He buys her cotton candy. Wins her a stuffed animal at a rigged game through sheer stubborn persistence. Watches her on the carousel with an expression that looks like grief and joy fighting for dominance.

But he's still quiet. Still holding something back.

We're waiting in line for ice cream when he finally speaks. His voice careful. Too casual.

"So. With the new salary. You'll have options now."

I turn to look at him. "Options?"

"For housing." He's studying the ice cream menu like it contains classified intelligence. "You could afford a better place. Somewhere with security. Away from photographers who know your address."

Understanding crashes through me. The morning's silence. The careful distance. He thinks I'm leaving.

"Is that what you want?" The question comes out sharper than intended. "For us to find somewhere else?"

"Christ, no." The words explode out of him. Raw. Unfiltered. "That's the last thing I want. But I can't—I won't trap you with me just because the media made your apartment unsafe. You have options now. Means to choose."

The vulnerability in his admission does something violent to my chest. Because this is Caspian Rothwell—the man who files legal papers and builds structures to ensure outcomes—admitting he's terrified I'll choose to leave.

"Aria." I crouch down to her level. She's already demolished half her ice cream. "Would you like to stay at Caspian's place? Keep living there?"

Her face lights up. "In the castle? Forever?"

"Maybe not forever. But for now."

"Yes!" She's bouncing. "Can I have my own room? With space for all my toys? And can Mr. Serious Boss teach me more chess?"

I look up at Caspian. Watch the relief crash across his features. The way his hands unclench. The breath he releases like he's been holding it for hours.

"We'll stay." The words feel like surrender and victory simultaneously. "If you want us."

"If I want—" He stops. Something between a laugh and a sob catching in his throat. "Serena, I've wanted you both since the moment I understood what I'd lost. Wanted you in ways that terrified me. So yes. Christ, yes, I want you to stay."

Aria grabs both our hands. "Ferris wheel! We have to go on the Ferris wheel!"

We follow her. Let ourselves be dragged toward the massive wheel spinning against blue sky. The line is long but Aria's patience is infinite when she wants something badly enough.

When we finally board—the three of us crammed into a single car—I feel the shift in the air. The way reality narrows to just this: Aria between us, Manhattan sprawling below, the impossible height making everything else feel distant.

The wheel climbs. Higher and higher until we're suspended at the apex. The city spreads beneath us like proof that we're real, this moment is real, this fragile understanding we've built isn't just wishful thinking.

Caspian's hand finds mine. Threads our fingers together while Aria points at buildings, at cars that look like toys, at the world made small by altitude.

"I love you." He says it quietly. Just for me. "Both of you. I know I'm still earning that. Still proving I'll stay. But I need you to know."

"I know." The words catch in my throat. "I'm terrified. But I know."

He leans in. Kisses me while our daughter giggles and claps. Kisses me like we're not suspended hundreds of feet in the air. Like this—this makeshift family we're building from wreckage—is the most solid thing he's ever had.
