(SCHOOL VISIT)
“He scraped his knee, get me the first aid box please”.
Angela instructed.
“Of course”.
The teacher responded and went back to the classroom emergency room to get it.
Few minutes later she came back to Angela who already had the kid on her arms consoling him.
Angela carefully wiped away the dirt and blood, then she took a bandage out of her bag and carefully wrapped it around his knee, all the while reassuring him that he will be okay.
The child hugged her tightly, and she smiled at him.
"It's all better now," she said, ruffling the child's hair.
Just then, a middle-aged woman, she was dressed in a blue gown, her red curly hair with no grey hair visible was wrapped up in a bun, her spectacles had no chance against her piercing green eyes.
Mrs Louisiana the founder of the school and also the third teacher of the school came running towards them.
“Oh my what happened?”
“It's a playground accident, he scraped his knee”.
Samantha, the teacher who got the first aid box, explained.
“Oh poor thing, Angela, take him to my office please”.
She said softly.
Angela Obliged.
Teacher Samantha made sure the other kids stopped panicking and went back to their play and games.
Angela got to the office as instructed and Mrs Louisiana came after and shut the door.
She took a big lollipop from her candy jar and gave it to the kid sobbing in Angela's arms before settling on her chair.
“Angela, thank you”.
“For what?”
Angela replied amused and sincerely confused.
“For such wonderful things you are doing for the kids. The parents speak so highly of your teaching and your kindness towards their kids. Mrs Samantha and I, we are witnesses”.
Angela blushed, but she also looked pleased.
"Thank you, Ma'am. I'm just doing what I love to do."
Mrs Louisiana smiled again.
"You are a remarkable person, Miss Angela. You are truly a blessing to this school and to these children, you are good enough to be out there in a good school but..."
"I am honoured to work here, I am glad I am happy to help those children..that's my favourite thing about teaching," she said, her voice full of emotion.
Mrs Louisiana smiled at her with admiration.
Angela continued.
"These kids are so special to me, and I want to do everything I can to help them. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do that Mrs Louisiana and you founded this school, you are a real life heroine to these children."
“Angela you are an Angel…that's all I can say….”.
Angela smiled down at the little boy, who was now back to enjoying his Lollipop.
“Prince, do you want to go to your friends?”
Angela asked softly and he nodded.
She put him down gently. They watched him walk slowly out of the office.
Mrs Louisiana took a box from her table and stretched it towards Angela, who looked up curiously at her.
"I wanted to give you this, as a small token of our appreciation for all you do for these children."
She hands her the box, which is wrapped in shiny paper. Angela takes it, her eyes wide with surprise.
She opens the box, and inside is a beautiful set of paintbrushes and paints.
"Oh, thank you so much!" she exclaims. "This is such a lovely gift!"
Mrs Louisiana smiled at her humility, it's not a big gift.
“I could have given you money but…I..thought I could give you my old paints since you enjoy painting too," she said with a stain of embarrassment on her cheeks.
“What do you mean by a small gift, it's lovely! The kids will also enjoy using them too, so I will practise painting with them."
“That's so sweet of you”.
Mrs Louisiana smiled.
“Let me go and show them..I am sure they will love it”
She stood up in excitement.
“Should I come with you?”
“I think so, they need to say their thanks to you”.
“Oh alright!”
Mrs Louisiana laughed.
They went outside the building, just then they heard the sound of a large motorcade approaching the school.
A line of sleek black limousines pulled up at the school compound. A serious looking man in a dark suit and dark shades steps out of the first car, followed by a group of bodyguards.
He scans the environment, then walks back to one of the cars and opens the door with a bow.
Another man, a tall, handsome man with a nose mask stepped out of the car, and was immediately surrounded by security.
He was dressed in an impeccable suit, and his medium-length hair was neatly styled.
His bodyguards flanked him on both sides. He spots Angela, and a dirty smirk appears on his lips. He put up his hand and the bodyguard waited behind as he approached.
“That Monster!..”
Angela snapped.
“Monster?”
Mrs Louisiana looked at her in confusion.
“I..mean…Montero, his name is Mr Montero..I guess”.
She stuttered.
“Yeah I think I have seen that handsome face before”.
Mrs Samantha joined the two.
“Maybe he is here for donations, everybody don't panic, stay calm”.
Mrs Louisiana said nervously, her body shivering from excitement.
As he got closer Mrs Samantha gasped loudly.
“What..what is it Samantha?”
Mrs Louisiana asked in a panic.
“No way that's Mr Montero, Antonio Montero, the billionaire and famous actor..what is he doing in our town?”
Samantha whispered.
Angela cursed inwardly.
If they get to know we are engaged, they will feel bad that I have kept it from them, we are like a family. How can I be a bride of Antonio Montero and stay in a place like this…never done a monetary donation except from the little gifts I gave the children once in a while.
And what the heck is he doing here? How did he get this address?
