The grand hall was illuminated with shimmering chandeliers, casting a golden glow over the gathered Pack members. The air buzzed with excitement and reverence as Kaelan and Mira stepped forward, their hands intertwined, toward the ceremonial platform. It was the moment they had all been waiting for—the crowning of the new Alpha King and Alpha Queen.
Kaelan looked regal, dressed in a black and silver ceremonial robe that accentuated his commanding presence. Mira, by his side, wore a flowing gown of deep emerald that seemed to shimmer like her newfound strength. Her hair was adorned with delicate silver accents that mirrored the intricate designs of her crown.
The elder of the Pack stepped forward, holding the crowns. “Tonight, we witness the rise of a new era,” his voice boomed. “Alpha Kaelan, do you vow to lead with strength and wisdom?”
Kaelan’s voice was firm. “I do.”
The elder turned to Mira. “Luna Mira, do you vow to stand beside your Alpha, to protect and nurture this Pack with your power and compassion?”
Mira nodded, her voice steady. “I do.”
The elder placed the crowns on their heads, and a roar erupted from the Pack, their howls of approval filling the air. Kaelan and Mira turned to face their people, their hearts full of pride and determination.
Later that night, as they prepared to retire, a knock came at their door. Kaelan opened it to find one of the guards standing stiffly. “Alpha, your father requests to see you immediately.”
Kaelan frowned but nodded. “Tell him I’m on my way.”

When Kaelan entered his father’s chambers, he found the older Alpha on the floor, clutching his chest and groaning in pain. Panic surged through him as he rushed to his father’s side. “Father, what’s wrong?”
Before his father could respond, the door burst open, and Mira entered, her eyes wide with urgency. “I felt something was wrong,” she said breathlessly.
Without hesitation, Mira knelt beside the groaning wolf, her hands glowing faintly as she muttered ancient words under her breath. She retrieved a small vial from her pocket and poured a shimmering liquid onto the old Alpha’s forehead. The liquid seeped into his skin, and Mira used a pin to draw the pain out, channeling it away from his body.
Kaelan watched in awe as his father’s tense body relaxed. Moments later, the elder wolf fell into a peaceful sleep. Mira stood, her breathing heavy but steady.
Kaelan reached for her hand. “You amaze me every time,” he said softly, his voice filled with pride.
Mira met his gaze, her eyes glowing with quiet confidence. “I’ll always protect our family.”
