Beauty barely managed to nod, her mind blank except for the overwhelming presence of him standing there, so close she could smell the faint scent of his cologne.
"I-I don't mind," she breathed nervously.
She could feel her cheeks burning, her body reacting to every subtle movement of his, every glance that lingered too long. Why does he have to be so close? She was barely holding it together.
Bruno's lips parted as if he wanted to say something more, but then he hesitated, his gaze once again landing to her lips before pulling back up to meet her eyes.
At this time, she was sure he could hear her heart pounding.
"Thanks again," he finally said.
As he walked away, Beauty exhaled a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding.
Her heart was still racing, her hands trembling slightly. She pressed a hand to her chest, trying to calm herself down. The entire interaction had left her breathless and dazed.
*What just happened?*
Whatever it was, she knew one thing for sure: this night was going to be a lot more than just overtime work.
"Wow what's with the cold face, sometimes it gives off cool vibes but this time he scared me, why can't he smile at all? Does he even know how to smile? (Groans)

She gazed down at the documents he dropped.

She yawned and started working on it immediately.
Minutes later, Jessie kissed her goodbye and left the company, followed by others too, until every one of the employees had gone home.
Beauty yawned tiredly.
"What a day".
She paused and stared at Bruno.
He was busy in his office, the glass wall made it crystal clear to see from her office.
He looked so focused about this work, Beauty found herself stealing glances at him.
Hours gone, it's 1am.
Beauty was dozing off and a nod almost hitting on the desk made her jumpy, she looked up with her blurred vision and saw Bruno still awake and working.
Suddenly, he got up from his chair and went to make a cup of coffee for himself.
"Now it's time to return the favor you are dozing off Beauty? Have some shame".
She said to herself and started working tiredly, yawning every minute.
The paper works seemed endless, she felt like crying out loud that she couldn't deal with it.
Bruno raised his head and found her nodding to nature's call, each time she got herself she would start working immediately like a professional boom the next minute she's snoring with her head tilted back.
He found himself smiling at her, and as soon as he realized,he went back to his straight face.
He stood up and got a glass of coffee for himself again.
Beauty heard his footsteps and immediately started working like a professional.
He came to her and dropped a cup of coffee on her table.
"Here but If you are tired, you can rest in my office room".
He said softly.
In his office?
Beauty felt the whole urge to sleep cleared from her head.
"Are we going to sleep together in the same room?"
She asked a little excitedly.
"No, so don't worry,"He replied.
Who is worried? I would love it. I thought something romantic was going to happen.
Beauty said in her mind pouted angrily.
She took the cup of coffee angrily from him and finished the drink, like she was talking about a shot of alcohol.
"Are you okay?"
Bruno asked, unsure why she was angry.
She coughed a little.
"I am fine, and I am going to finish this work".
She replied intensively.
Bruno was surprised at the zeal.
"Thanks for helping".
He replied.
Beauty ignored him, focused on the system like a determined worker.
Bruno stood beside her and watched.
Shamelessly the next minute she dozed off right In Front of him. It surprised him that after her determination, she couldn't resist sleep.
