Billionaire's Abandoned Love Slave

Chapter59 The return of Elena

Ch. 59 / 68 Jan 20, 2025

Ryan's POV

"Good day, ladies and gentlemen. From this moment onward, I will be the new president of the branch here, and I hope we all get along throughout the duration of my stay," I uttered to the shareholders who were sat on the same table with me in the conference room.

"We hope so, too. It's a pleasure having you here," The vice president replied with a nod which I mirrored.

Afterward, I stood up from my seat, and they all followed suit. Then, I headed to my new office.

The company's branch in London was significantly smaller than the head branch at Texas. But regardless of that, I still looked forward to working there.

"I have no meeting left to attend today, right?" I asked my secretary, and she shook her head in affirmation.

"Perfect," I mumbled, hoisting myself up from the chair to grab my coat and briefcase.

"I'll see you tomorrow then," I said as I draped my coat on.

She nodded, "Alright, sir. Goodbye,"

Then, I headed to the parking lot. It had been two weeks since I moved to London, and I still couldn't get used to the fact that I could go home earlier than I used to while I was in Texas.

I got into my car and revved up the engine with a sigh. It still felt strange that I now drove myself to work everyday. But the fact that I got to see Ophelia and Jeremy everyday, made up for my discomfort.

I wanted to be a good father to Jeremy and a better partner to Ophelia in the future. Even though I knew and Ophelia had always made it clear that she'd never forgive me not to talk of taking me back.

I exhaled sharply as I trekked through the glass doors at the entrance of the condominium. I was about to step into the elevator when I raised my head up, and who I saw made my jaw slack in shock.

"Elena? What are you doing here?" I barked as the elevator doors slid close behind me.

"What sort of a question is that, Ryan? I came here to see you," She whispered into my ears, with her boobs squashing against my biceps as she molded herself to me.

"H-"

"Don't bother asking how I found you, Ry. You don't need to know that," As if somehow reading my mind, she uttered.

"Get off me this instant before I push you," I hurled, keeping my arms behind my back as she looped her arms around my neck.

Elena gazed up at me with a cocky grin arching the corners of her mouth up. As usual, she was dressed in a promiscuous outfit which left little to the imagination. I averted my gaze from her boobs which were literally thrusted in my face.

"Okay, baby. I will," She chuckled, and slowly backed off.

"By the way, why did you leave the luxury in Texas to this swampy and poverty-stricken condo in London? Don't tell me you did this to hide from me," Elena gasped before her lips scrunched up in a pout.

I scoffed at her ridiculous question, "You think so highly of yourself, Elena. Don't you? Why the fuck would I hide from you?"

In response, she shrugged, "I don't know. Seeing how weird you acted on the day I gave you a surprise visit at the office,"

"You know what, Elena? I'm not in the mood to go back and forth with you right now, so you either tell me what you came here for or I'll tell the building manager to restrict you from this building," I warned angrily, but she didn't seem fazed in the slightest bit.

She just scoffed, "Whatever. I'll tell you when we get to your place,"

"You better," I gruffed, and turned my back against her.

"By the way, why is the elevator so fucking slow?" Elena grumbled, stepping in front of me.

"I don't know, Elena. I'm headed to the furthest floor and that is the eighty seventh floor. I'll let you do the math," I retorted.

"Okay. Okay. There's no need to get so pissed at a question. Calm your tits," She spat, and rolled her eyes.

"I'd be calm if you weren't here," I returned.

Elena just chuckled and ran her tongue over her lower lip as she stared sensually at me. I frowned when she knelt in front of me, and grabbed my crotch.

I was about to push her off when the elevator doors slid open, and Ophelia walked in with an unimpressed expression. When our eyes met, her hazel orbs rounded in visible horror for a split second before she cleared her throat and turned her back against me.

She stood at the farthest corner of the elevator and folded her arms over her chest, paying no further attention to us.

Great, I had just jeopardized my chances of ever getting the paternal rights to Jeremy.

"Get up," I gritted out to Elena, darting a murderous glare at her.

She licked her lips, and smirked mischievously before she got up.

A thick awkward silence enveloped the ambiance among the three of us, with my gaze directed to Ophelia's form. She still hadn't said anything yet.

To lighten the tension, I decided to talk, "Uhm, Ophelia. How's Jeremy doing?"

"Good," She muttered, with her back still facing me.

"Okay, and y-"

"Baby, who is she?" Elena cut in, looping our arms together.

"Elena, behave," I muttered, and loosened our Interlocked arms.

"No, it's fine," Surprisingly, it was Ophelia who talked this time.

She spun to face us with a smile etched on her features, "Hi. I'm Ophelia, his neighbor,"

Something akin to hurt stabbed my heart at Ophelia's introduction.

She wasn't just my neighbor. She was the mother of my baby, and the love of my life.

"Oh. Hi. I'm Elena, his fianceƩ," Elena lied, with a fake grin plastered to her face as she stretched a hand to Ophelia.

A strange emotion crossed Ophelia's eyes for a second, but when I blinked, it had been replaced with a smile.

"That's great. I wish you both the best," Ophelia shook Elena's hands with an enthusiastic nod before the elevator doors slid open, and she got off without darting a stare towards me.

"Elena, what the hell have you done?" I barked, immediately the doors slid shut again.

"I didn't do anything, babe. She seemed happy for us, what's wrong with you?" She huffed before facing the opposite direction.

Hell, I was completely fucked.
