Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 187

Ch. 187 / 840 May 06, 2026

Tabitha's POV

Sitting in the helicopter, I heard nothing except for the rotor roar outside the window. The cabin was dead quiet.

Perhaps feeling uneasy because of the silence, Mark finally spoke up, "I don't get it. Blood ritual is one of the traditions of us werewolves. We have strong self-healing abilities, so losing a bit of blood isn't a big deal.

"Besides, Holly is your mom. Is giving her a hand that difficult for you?"

Hearing his words, I couldn't help but sneer.

Crystal growled in my mind, "They've hurt us!"

"Yes. I won't forget that," I replied inwardly, kinda reminding myself too.

Then I turned and looked at Mark, scoffing, "Will you be this forgiving towards a werewolf who wants you dead?"

Mark froze.

I continued, "The second Holly chose to save Daphne instead of me, she's no longer my mom. As I said, I owe her nothing now."

Mark opened his mouth as if trying to say something.

But I turned away, ignoring him completely.

It was getting darker, and all I could see were the sea and the sky, like they were the only things left in the entire world.

There wasn't a hint of light in the clouds, and the sea looked stormy.

I felt like there was a monster lurking in the darkness, ready to swallow me whole the next second.

The closer I got to Seattle, the more anxious I became.

The weather near Seattle was equally unsettling, nothing like that on the island.

Just then, the rain started pounding against the window. Another rainy day.

Although spring brought its share of thunderstorms, I genuinely hated the rain.

Mark probably released some of his pent-up stress now that he finally had me. So he leaned in the back of his seat and took a nap.

A while later, as if sensing a faint light outside, he opened his eyes to peek at the view below.

"Tabitha, we've arrived."

Mark wanted to take me to the Amber's Eye Pack or the villa where he and Holly resided but failed, as Crystal kept unleashing her Alpha aura, putting the surrounding werewolves on guard.

As I result, I was yanked off the helicopter.

Though Mark had told them to be gentle with me, since I wasn't cooperating, the bodyguards were gripping my hands tight as they were afraid that I'd run away.

"Tabitha, you can't run away. Relax. We'll have to do a venipuncture first. Just to make sure nothing goes wrong. It might sting a bit, but it'll be over before you know it."

"Let go of me!" I yelled.

The cold raindrops fell on me, and the heavy rain drowned out my voice.

No matter how much I struggled, it couldn't change a thing.

I trudged through the muddy water, my heart filled with hatred towards Derek.

How could he make such a shady deal with Mark while completely disregarding my wishes?

What gave him the idea that I'd still wait for him to come back like a fool?

And the bullshit of having kids? Hilarious!

**

Soon, I was thrown onto an operating table. Then, a female doctor in a white coat appeared in my view.

Seeing me desperately squirming for free, she said, "Mr. Sutton, I can't perform the puncture if she keeps moving like this."

Mark finally ran out of patience.

"Make her calm down."

"Got it, Mr. Sutton."

I watched as the woman took out a syringe from the medication lock box, the sharp needle glinting as she pushed it.

"No! Wait!" I shouted, panicked.

But my limbs were pinned down, and I couldn't move at all. I could only watch as the woman came closer and closer, and finally, she whispered in my ear, "We meet again."

I widened my eyes.

My sixth sense told me she was the kidnapper!

I couldn't help glancing her way.

She was wearing a white coat and a mask, only her eyes were exposed.

While I was staring at her, a sharp pain shot through me, and the next second, I was out cold.

Darkness engulfed me as I closed my eyes involuntarily.

After God knew how long, I woke up in a daze, my vision slowly focusing on something white.

As I had just awoken, my head was still groggy under the effects of the drugs.

After a few seconds, I finally realized what was happening, and I immediately struggled in anger.

"It's you!"

Only then did I realize my limbs were tightly bound by iron chains. There was nothing I could do except glowering at her.

I had been hiding for so long, but I still ended up in her hands.

"Who the hell are you? What have I done to you? Why do you keep trying to kill me and even drag innocent people into this?!"

The woman sneered, "Your very existence is the biggest mistake."

This time, she didn't use a voice changer. She simply lowered her voice.

Even so, I could hear the delight in it.

"Don't blame me. You have to die."

She reached out, stroking my cheek. "Look at your pretty face. Daphne isn't a patch on you. Is that why he likes you so much?"

Just then, I felt a chill on my face. When I looked down, I saw a blade clutched between her fingertips. A chill instantly ran down my spine.

"What do you want?" I snapped.

"Well..."

She smiled and then whispered in my ear with a creepy tone, "I wanna disfigure you. Will he be sad when he sees it?"

A cool breeze rushed in through a slightly-open window, making goosebumps rise on my exposed skin.

I tried to call Crystal, yet to my surprise, she didn't respond.

"Wanna shift?" the woman asked with a chuckle as if she knew exactly what I was thinking.

"I've temporarily put your wolf to sleep," she explained.

I wasn't afraid. Instead, I locked eyes with her and said coldly, "You're the one behind everything that has happened to the Silver Moon Pack?"

"Yep."

"And you killed Vilda?"

"Technically, it was you. You triggered her emotions."

I clutched my fists upon hearing her words. She was a devil!

"And you had my medical report swapped?"

"Um-hum."

"Why?"
