Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 151

Ch. 151 / 840 May 06, 2026

Tabitha's POV

I was right all along. Dad was kindness personified. He would never commit such an appalling crime.

As such a thought hit me, I burst into tears.

'Dad's been nice to everyone. He doesn't deserve this!'

"Elena was Derek's childhood sweetheart. If he finds out about it, you're dead meat!"

Albert sneered disdainfully, "Use your brain. Why would you end up here if he found out about it?"

He was right.

Elena had always been Derek's taboo. Bringing her up was just like tearing his old wound open. So he surely wouldn't want to look into her death again.

"Why? Why did you do this?" I sobbed, lowering my head helplessly.

"You have only yourself to blame."

Me? What did I do?

"Your very existence is wrong."

With that, Albert lifted me up, put me on his shoulder as if I were a sack, and started walking.

Having been locked up for quite some time, I felt sick already.

Being lifted all of a sudden made it even worse. My stomach churned.

The sound of the sea breeze died down. I guessed we were indoors, and it should be a very empty room.

I could hear Albert's voice loud and clear.

He tossed me down casually, and I felt myself hitting something.

The thing moved. Then I realized I was right next to someone's feet.

Could this person be the mastermind behind all this?

At the thought, my ear buzzed, and my body shook uncontrollably.

Various complex emotions surged up inside me.

I piped up, my voice filled with hatred, "It's you, right? You ruined the Silver Moon Pack! You hurt my dad!"

The person next to me crouched down slowly and then lifted my chin.

A voice rang out. "Yeah."

The person's voice was deliberately disguised, and I couldn't even tell whether it was a man or a woman.

The only clue I got was the faint aroma of herbs from the person's fingertips.

I didn't know much about herbs, so I had no idea what they were exactly.

"You wanna kill me?" I asked straightforwardly.

"Your life isn't in my hand."

I frowned, feeling puzzled. I was kidnapped here. What else did the person want?

"What do you mean?"

The fact that the person chose not to kill me somehow made me even more uneasy.

I bet it had something to do with Derek.

"Derek and I have already gone through the rejection ceremony. I have nothing. What do you want from me?"

The fingers pinching my chin tightened even more.

I felt pain, but I refused to show my weakness.

"You're smart. No wonder he likes you so much."

The person realized at once that I was fishing.

Sensing that the person didn't fall for it, I continued, "I know there's no way out for me today. If I'm right, we're at an abandoned place by the sea, yeah? Even if Derek wants to save me, he won't have enough time."

"Yep."

"I have one last wish. Before I die, may I know who you are?"

"You don't get to know that."

The person was so cautious, leaving me no chance to find out his identity.

"Tell you what? You may not be the one who ends up dying today."

Before I could say anything, I heard someone's phone buzz.

The person picked up, saying in a teasing tone, "It's just a small game. What? You feel bad for her?"

The room was very quiet, so I could hear a male's voice on the other end of the line.

I wanted to hear more, yet the person let go of my chin and walked away before speaking again.

The only thing I could do right now was try my best to calm down. Being blindfolded, I had no idea if there was anyone around me, so I dared not cut the rope.

Clutching the folding knife tightly in my palm, I swore that I'd kill the person even if it meant I had to die!

Today was my best shot for revenge. I gotta stay put and wait for the perfect timing to strike.

Besides, I wanted to wait and see what the guy was up to.

While I was telling myself not to rush, my wound started aching.

As I bit my lip to bear the pain, someone suddenly placed something cold next to my lips.

It seemed to be the edge of a glass.

I clamped my lips, fearing it would be poison. Then a cold voice sounded, "You're here already. Why the hell would I drug you now?"

"Ethan?" I asked.

He snorted, not denying it, "Drink it."

I took a few sips at once.

"Did you kill Vilda?"

"Quiet." He didn't answer my question.

"Ethan, I saw Vilda's body. She died a horrible death. What could she possibly do to you that made you hate her this much? It's a life! Don't you feel scared when you sleep?"

"Scared? Why should I? She was a psycho to begin with. If it weren't for my care, she would've been dead a long time ago! Killing her was doing her a big favor. For her, living in this hellish world was already torture!"

"So, you admit it?"

"Yeah, so what? It's all your fault. If you hadn't come looking for her, she'd still be alive. Your nosiness killed her!"

I suddenly felt Ethan was the one who needed a shrink. Apparently, he had lost his marbles.
