Alpha's Little Miracle

Chapter 126

Ch. 126 / 127 Aug 27, 2025

LUCIEN’S POV.

With the speed of lightning, Adria appeared to me, staring at me, with lasers in her eyes. The wolves made to attack, but I held up my hand once more.

“No interruption.” I instructed, and Adria struck, trying to slash my neck, but I dodged, and took hold of her hands, turning her the way I always turned her, whenever we fought.

“Adria!” I called, but she easily broke out of the lock I had her in, and managed to slash my right arm.

It was a deep gash, but that did nothing to me. I was already healing. She thrusted, and I parried. We carried on with that pattern for a long time because I didn’t wish to hurt her, but she became even more violent.

“Adria!” I called once more, but she didn’t budge. She raised her claws to slash my neck, but I bent, and wound my leg around hers.

She fell backwards, but made it to her feet quickly in a backward roll. “Adria!” I called again, trying to bring her to her senses, but she was too restless, and too fast.

It was obvious she was stronger. If she’d had the years of experience I’d had on the battlefield, she might have been my match, but she wasn’t, and I feared hurting her.

Over, and over again, I used the same moves I had always used on her whenever we fought, and as I continued using it… I noticed her eyes, wondering where she had seen them before.

She didn’t say a word, instead, she simply attacked without stopping.

When I couldn’t parry, and had to hurt her, I chose to stand back, and let her slash me.

Her eyes lit with glee, as she slashed me painfully, but I didn’t let her get anywhere near my neck, which was my major weakness when it came to her long claws.

Adria, and I fought for almost an hour, and she didn’t even give me enough chance to try to make her remember me. She was bent on eliminating me.

Finally, I decided to surrender to her because she wouldn’t stop, and I didn’t want to lose control, and hurt her. Hurting her was the last thing I wanted to do.

I’d rather let her hurt me.

However, as she raised her claws, with a malicious glint in her eyes to strike me, her eyes caught something in my pocket.

My gaze went to it, and I saw it was the tumbler I had given her.

She had left it at my place, and because I missed her, I took it everywhere with me, using it.

It had been in the pocket of my coat when I had dashed out of the house to fight the vampires, and I hadn’t even given it a thought.

Something in her gaze shifted, and she lowered her arm to take the tumbler out of my pocket.

She saw her name written on it in curly, golden letters, and stared at it for a long time before looking at me.

After staring at me, confused for a long time, her eyes widened, and she gasped.

“Lu… Lucien…” She called in a hoarse voice that sounded like it hadn’t been used in a long time. Her eyes filled up with tears, and I sat up.

“Lucien.” She called again, breathing shakily. Her hand went to my face, and large tears fell down her eyes. “I… I didn’t know it was you. I… I didn’t know, I…” At that point, she broke down, and put everyone on the scene in confusion.

“Adria.” I called with a smile. Was she really back? Back to me?

I took her face in my hands, and planted my lips on hers.

I was never letting her go, for as long as I lived.

The sight of us kissing, threw everyone into confusion, and they began to wonder what was going on.

A vampire, and a wolf who were engaged in a deadly fight, suddenly kissing?

Well, I wasn’t ready to explain anything yet.

ADRIA’S POV.

I had found myself on the streets, without any recollection of how I had gotten there.

Worse was, I didn’t even know what, or who I was.

My heart was aching, and I felt like something was waiting for me. There was something I was eager to get back to and see, but I couldn’t recall.

It had been frustrating. I had been filled with so much anger that I didn’t recognize anyone. For weeks, I had killed humans just because I couldn’t get myself.

I was searching for something, but I didn’t know what it was, and the frustration had piled up in my heart, and I had unleashed it on whomever I could find.

I had walked familiar streets, and felt like I was about to remember what I was searching for, but it felt like the answer was right at my fingertips, yet I couldn’t grab it.

What was it? What was I looking for? It filled me with so much anger that I was unable to control myself.

And then, I happened to stumble upon the gathering of the vampires and the wolves.

I had not been intending to duel with my kind, but Derek, who I couldn’t recognize at the time, had ordered for me to be attacked, and I had poured out all my rage on them.

Then Derek himself had come, and I had killed him, even when I didn’t care to. Finally, I sensed strong energy that irritated me. That had been Lucien. Just seeing him made my heart go crazy, and I wondered just what about him made my heart ache, and beat so fast.

The frustration it gave me led me to wish him gone, but instead, he had fought with me in ways that flashed blurry images in my head.

I hated it even more, and had tried my best. He was quite sloppy, and wasn’t even attacking me. That made me more mad. It made it feel like I was fighting alone, and I wanted to kill him in that instant.

I couldn’t kill him because he kept on defending himself skillfully. Think of how that could have made my anger almost explode. Then, all of a sudden, he surrendered, wanting me to kill him.

Why? I was about to bring down my claws when my peripheral view caught something. A tumbler, and when I looked at it, more flashing images filled my mind.

A name had been written on it. The name he had been calling, ever since we started our fight, and it occurred to me that it was my name.

Adria. My name.
