Alpha's Little Miracle

Chapter 124

Ch. 124 / 127 Aug 27, 2025

LUCIEN’S POV.

“I’m thinking the same thing as you are.” Zayne said, confirming my suspicions.

“You think Adria’s the one behind the missing people?” I asked, looking around for the remote controller.

“Exactly what I think, and as for the rebel vampires… We’ve finally heard news of them.” He added, and I stopped my search for the remote controller.

Watching news I had missed out on, was no longer important at the moment.

“Tell me. What are they planning?” I asked.

“They are creating an army large enough to defeat all the wolf clans, and humans, together.” He answered, extending the papers embodying his research.

“How is that possible? How big would an army have to be to defeat the wolf clans, and humans alike?” I asked, taking out the papers, and skimming through.

“A thorough investigation has been done. They’ve sought for vampires all over, and they’ve also turned some humans who have a strong will to kill. As we speak, they’re getting stronger in numbers, and enslaving the vampires who refuse to join them.” He reported, with his hands clasped together, and I cursed underneath my breath.

“Well, we just have to begin planning. Now that we know why they suddenly disappeared off the surface of the earth for months, we’ll be more thorough in our counteractions.” I replied, still browsing through the papers.

It was all fine, as long as Adria had returned. In no time, we would meet again, and when she remembered me, nothing would ever come between us once more.

“Gather the wolves, and the Lycans. We have to swing into action. In two days, I want every wolf in the great hall at the Palace.” I ordered, and he nodded, and began to make calls.

I explained all that was happening to Mrs. Williams, and she felt relieved when I told her there was a chance Adria could have returned, and had fed on those missing humans.

She promised to be on the lookout, and to inform me of everything going on in my absence.

Zayne and I began our journey back to the Palace, and in two days, we arrived at our destination.

It was full, and brimming with people. Every room had been occupied with wolves, and Lycans from all clans, and as I walked in, maids bowed, with a number of them following me.

“A glass of water.” I ordered, as I went.

I took a shower, and we all had dinner, before meeting in the great hall, where chairs had been arranged for the wolves, and Lycans.

“Good evening, all. I’m very sure we’re all aware of the reason for this gathering, and there’s no reason to waste further time.” I began, and they all gave affirmative looks.

I continued. “The rebel vampires, who had been sucking on human blood rampantly, a few months ago, have been planning an attack. They wish to take over the human government, and destroy everyone who wouldn’t bow to them. They want to take us out. So, today, we will be discussing three matters that need attention. Protecting the humans, protecting ourselves, and getting rid of the rebel vampires.”

They all clapped after my opening speech, and the meeting officially began.

Opinions, and ideas flew across the room like rocks thrown at each other, and every one of them were good ideas, except some weren’t really as practical as I preferred them to be.

Later on, after speaking for six hours straight, we decided the humans had to be aware of the potential danger they were in for.

They would all be moved to various, secret underground locations in every city, previously dug by the wolves to stay, until everything was over.

And as for protecting ourselves, should they turn out to be a lot more than we could handle, we were going to borrow military equipment. Such as the bulletproof wear, and boots. There was no time to train our men to use guns, so instead, we were going to use what we knew how to use best.

Our claws, speed, sight, and hearing. Those were enough.

For defeating the vampires, we had to ensure we were advantaged, by researching on the things that affected vampires greatly.

~

The plan went into effect immediately. The wolves and Lycans all returned to the city with me. The human government was informed, and the humans, in turn, were informed through the media.

They were all panicking, and finding it hard to believe, but we worked as fast as we could.

Enough humans had died, and we didn’t need more dying in our hands.

However, a week into the emergency movement, the vampires attacked unexpectedly.

I was home reviewing plans on the provision of food, and necessity, for the humans when Zayne called.

“Alpha Lucien! The vampires have stormed the Kingdom. They’re killing the humans we’re yet to move!” He reported frantically, with his voice relaying urgency in his every word.

“Damn it! Send in all the troops! We don’t have a second to spare. Forget the military gears, we don’t have time for them. We’re going all out!” I ordered, and ended the call. “Well, you heard the details of the call. We leave, now.” I said to the men, who were with me, and we all scrambled towards the door.

We didn’t even need to go far. We already heard the screams of humans.

“Follow the sound!” I ordered, climbing a car, so I could jump onto the roof of a house.

I began to jump on buildings following the screams, and in no time, I could see the vampires attacking the humans mercilessly.

A few wolves joined the fight along with me, and the vampires were distracted, thus allowing a few humans to escape.

It was a serious battle, with fangs madly slashing in the air, along with snarls, and roars.

The vampires had prepared a lot. They were stronger, and faster, and they made me think of Adria.

I got angrier, and fought recklessly, killing the vampires in sight.

We kept on running, after taking care of the vampires we were faced with.

Then, in a large field, we saw an army of them, shouting, and running towards us.

The wolves, and Lycans were all gathered to fight already, pouring from every side towards us, to take down the vampires.

However, before we could begin to run towards the vampires, I suddenly felt a sensation.

A terrible one.

It was an ominous feeling that spelled danger.
