Accidentally Slept With The Ruthless Billionaire

Chapter 595: Reese Betrayed Him

Ch. 595 / 630 Apr 22, 2026

"They left!" Ashley hissed, her voice cold. "But it wasn’t a waste for them. Bianca and Dave just announced their wedding right in front of them. Instead of hurting Dave’s image, it confirmed he’s marrying Bianca."

Her frustration finally boiled over. "Is this what you were aiming for? Where the hell is Reese?"

Blake dropped onto the sofa, the weight of failure pressing down on him. His hands shook as he picked up his phone and called Reese.

“Sorry, the number you’ve dialed is not in service…” The robotic voice echoed in his ear, sending a chill down his spine.

She betrayed him.

The truth hit him hard, knocking the breath out of him. In a fit of rage, Blake grabbed the ashtray and threw it to the floor, shattering it into sharp, broken pieces.

In the hotel room, Dave reached up and slowly closed the curtains.

"What would you have thought if you walked in this morning and saw me in bed with Reese?" he asked. His voice was calm, but there was tension underneath. He looked at Bianca, keeping his usual calm look. But inside, the thought bothered him.

Anything involving Bianca always threw him off a little. This time, it was worse; he had come so close to falling into someone else’s trap.

Bianca didn’t hesitate. She walked closer, wrapped her arms around him, and rested her face against his chest. "I trust you. No matter what, I believe in you," she said gently.

Dave could feel her honesty in every word. A small smile formed on his face as he held her tighter.

“By the way, where’s Reese? And what’s really going on?” Bianca asked, pulling back a little to look him in the eye.

“Reese’s been moved somewhere safe.” Dave then explained everything that had happened at the party. As he spoke, Bianca’s eyebrows drew together in worry.

“I never asked Reese to help you. I didn’t even book this room. Last night, I walked outside for a moment and blacked out. Brenda was the one who sent me to the next room.”

Just remembering it gave her chills. “Yesterday, we all drank the wine Reese gave out. Do you think she drugged it?”

“It’s possible.” Dave rubbed his chin, thinking it over. “And Brenda seems off, too. If she called you outside just to separate us, it might’ve looked like a coincidence. But then she placed you in the next room. I don’t believe in back-to-back coincidences.”

“There’s no real grudge between us and Brenda. Maybe you’re overthinking it,” Bianca said, though something about Brenda still made her restless. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t figure out why Brenda would want to hurt her or Dave.

“It doesn’t make sense if we look at it from a benefit point of view.” Even as Dave said that, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. He had already asked Wyatt to look into Brenda’s actions. “But it’s possible someone else is using her.”

Bianca nodded slowly. “If that’s true, our partnership might be in trouble.”

“Not necessarily,” Dave said after a short pause, his eyes narrowing.

Bianca looked at him, puzzled. “By the way, how did you manage to act so fast last night and get Reese out of here? I didn’t wake up until morning.”

A faint smile crossed Dave’s face. “I met someone last night. He’s the one who helped me.”

Bianca’s curiosity lit up. Her brow lifted. “Who? Do I know him?”

“Of course you do. How could you not know Zane?” Just saying the name softened Dave’s expression, his smile growing. Zane wasn’t just someone who worked for him; he was someone he trusted deeply.

“Zane?” Bianca gasped, her hand covering her mouth.

She knew how much loyalty meant to Dave. And Zane had always been at the top of that list. After his accident, she’d avoided saying his name, afraid it would bring back the pain and guilt. But now, despite everything, Dave looked lighter. Almost at peace.

“When I woke up, I was alone. Zane had already taken Reese and cleaned up the room. He left a note explaining everything and asked me to find him when I got up. No one else could write like that. I’d recognize his handwriting anywhere,” Dave said, reaching out to hold Bianca’s hand. “Come on. It’s time to find out the truth and see where Zane has been all this time.”

He took a deep breath to fix himself. He had sent people to look for Zane so many times, but now Zane had shown up on his own. The heavy weight Dave had carried for years felt a little lighter now. For once, he felt strangely calm.

The wind moved the curtains, and sunlight touched his face. His expression turned cold, his jaw tightening. “If I find out who’s been behind all this,” he thought, “I’ll make sure they pay.”

In a small, worn-down rental house, Zane stood in the bathroom, a razor in his hand. The man in the cracked mirror barely looked like him anymore. His once-handsome face was hidden under thick stubble. His skin was rough and dark from too many days in the harsh sun.

A sudden noise from the other room pulled Zane out of his thoughts. He set the razor down and walked into the bedroom.

Reese lay on the floor, the chair she’d been tied to knocked over. Her eyes were wide with fear. Muffled cries came from behind the towel in her mouth.

“Please… please…” she whimpered, her voice barely clear.

But Zane understood. She was begging for mercy, hoping he’d let her go.

His eyes turned cold. How pathetic. She had tried to set up his boss. If he didn’t still need answers, she’d already be gone and sink deeper into the sea where no one would find her.

Zane walked over quietly, adjusted Reese’s position, and checked that the ropes were still tight. Then he went back to the bathroom to finish shaving.

Reese’s heart was racing. Last night, right after she had undressed, someone knocked on the door. When she opened it, everything went black. She woke up here, in an unfamiliar place. Fear gripped her as she prayed that Blake would come for her.

Just then, a knock came from the door. Reese struggled, pulling at the ropes, but they were too tight. She couldn’t move.

Zane finished washing his face and dried it with a towel. He walked to the door and looked through the peephole. He saw someone he knew. He turned back to Reese with a twisted smile.

Her heart pounded harder. Was this how it would end for her?

The door creaked open, and Dave walked in.
